Waste of money. Asked for dark brown tint and I left looking exactly as I did when I came in besides one of my eyebrows is a completely different shape than the other now. I've been coming to Penny for 12 years. She is always so happy to see me and asks about my family. She can get busy but works fast without losing any attention to detail. I think the comments about her being rude have more to do with cultural differences than who Penny actually is. I get my brows threaded and tinted. Lasts a good month (tinting a little less). Guess what, she and I are from same country and no people from my place value customers just like any business here in America. Her repetitive question "Don't you trust me" gets annoying. You can't tell her how you want your eyebrows done and just have to "trust" her to know what you want. I have been there three times just to know I am not judging her too harshly. I went there with my boyfriend and after doing his eyebrows Penny moved to me. She instantly said that my eyebrows are asymmetrical and that someone did a bad job. I have not touched or let anyone touch them for months. My hair naturally grows different directions and I tried explaining it to her to which she just responded with "no, someone just plucked them wrong", which is just absurd. She kept being rude and making nasty comments. It was overall very painful and she would comment on every time I flinched. At some point she pointed to my boyfriend and said that he has better eyebrows than me. I ended up with two different eyebrows and didn't even get to choose the shape I wanted. I will be growing them out once again because they are very thin and don't look flattering at all. Don't come here. read more

I have been going here for awhile with no problems. I always wondered why there was not a lot of business. I found out, I asked a question and the owner became very rude and argumentative. I was shocked. She was on her phone (speaker phone) and it was very loud. I asked was she going to remain on the phone, she became angry. I pay 25.00 for the service I receive and ALWAYS leave a generous tip. I did not want her leaning in my face on her speaker phone. I would not have minded if she had in ear buds. I am not happy with my experience. The lady was very rude, and the place is dirty and she cut off the end of my eyebrow.

I've been here multiple times only because I like how she thread my eyebrows. Threading wise, yes she has the skills but she switches her price every SINGLE TIME you go! I understand your eyebrows get a big rough after a while but I've constantly been a regular despite her being rude and rough because her skills were there. Today she tried to up-charge me about 30$ for the same thread and tint! That's ridiculous. And after I refused the tint the threading was 20$ when all the prices are listed right in front of you. Mind you, I was still patient but the final straw was when I was checking out, I even tipped her extra despite the situation. She chased me down saying I didn't pay and I needed to again when I had the receipt. It was very embarrassing and I had to get on a call with her boss. Her boss told her the whole time it was a machine malfunction and the payment was received she did not even understand and kept calling me a robber and harassing me. I had to get on the phone with the owner myself and solve it. I've gave her plenty of chances but today was way beyond acceptable. It was embarrassing and irritating. I've went to her for about 2 years every month or so just because of her skill but as if the pulling your hair and flinging you around and cussing you out wasn't enough today happened. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for over 10 years and have moved around Michigan, going to different places, but I do have a lady in Dearborn who is excellent. I did want to find someone closer, so I tried Penny. Let's just say, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Especially with the way I was treated. I've given her multiple chances and am a very friendly person. However, this last time I went on to politely tell her how I would like my eyebrows, she threw a fit! Her exact words.." Do you not trust me"? I went on to say yes I trust you Penny, but everyone's eyebrows are different and I forget what else I said. I showed her a picture and she was just not happy and treated me very rude, which is unacceptable. If you were to get your hair, nails and/or make-up done you tell that person and even show pictures of what you would like. That person should not say what Penny said to me & treated me or anyone how she did. I've never had that happened to me before. I will never be going back there, again. I guess if you never have a "say" on how you would like your eyebrows, then you'll be happy. But as soon as you tell her how you like them, she gets very offended. Best of luck on finding "your" eyebrow place! (I forgot to add in there, yes my eyebrows were messed up by the end of the visit. I'm just thankful they grow back and mine grow back fast.) read more

Don't go here for brow threading. I've been a loyal customer here for well over a year, but I'm finding somewhere else to go. I don't like how she does not listen to your instructions as the customer. She does what she wants to your brows. I constantly have to tell her not take too much off, yet recently she's been taking too much off anyways. After my last visit there I actually had to fill in some of my brow with a pencil. I have gone there 3 times now and will never go back because the lady who works there is so rude and inappropriate.Today I got my eyebrows done and after I politely declined the Johnson's baby lotion she was going to rub into my threaded brows, she reluctantly gave me the mirror for me to see her handiwork. There were a few stray hairs that she had left and I asked her to go back and fix it. She proceeded to argue with me that there was no hair left and that I get my eyes checked! I was not going to lose this battle and so I again told her I think I see some hairs and could she just go back over one more time. She hastily ran her thread over my brows one more time and as I was paying, she said, "you should really get your eyes checked by a doctor. I am not the one who can't see anything!" If I could give 0 stars I would. My mom and I have been going to Penny since I was very young, as she was the first person to shape my eyebrows for me. Even before that, my mom would drive to Penny's home to get her eyebrows done when she wasn't in her current location. As I got older, I began going by myself to get my brows done. NUMEROUS times she made my brows too thin and I would have to wait weeks for them to grow back just for her to make them thin again. I was aware of her attitude problem so I never said anything. One day, I decided to speak up and she threw a complete fit. She yelled at me and told me it was my fault for plucking my eyebrows (which I never did) and she was pointing her finger in my face. There were multiple people in there and it was extremely embarrassing. This was all because I requested less threading to keep my natural thickness. My mom and I will NEVER go back to her again because that's how she treats loyal costumers. read more

I started threading my eyebrows years ago when Perfect Eyebrow was still located in the Lakes Outlet Mall. My cousin took me one day and i haven't plucked my own eyebrows since. Initially it's a little scary because it's a new experience and i'd compare it to a quick, repetitive burn but it's not terrible. it's worth it for the great brows you have afterward. I've never had a bad experience and the couple managing the place have always been kind and courteous. The price is always $10 for me but that doesn't include tip. The business is making money hand over fist because it takes minutes to do and her equipment includes thread, tissue, alcohol and lotion BUT if she weren't as experienced as she is, then it would take more time and the outcome might not be as great. You can't gain this skill over night and i don't see a lot of people going to school to learn to thread. I appreciate her skill and gladly pay her for her talent and time. The last time i visited was only weeks ago and it was busy, as usual. But the outcome was still the same. Perfect. read more

I've never done threading. This was my first experience. The woman who did it was nice and inviting. She moved quickly. It hurt a little but not much more than waxing. It was all over in less than 5 minutes. My eyebrows have a nice shape now. She encouraged me to get tinting. I've never done that either so what the heck!? Let's do it! The tint sits on your brows for about 5 minutes. She said it will last 3 weeks. I will update in 3 weeks $25 for both I would love to come back but I live on the other side of town. Penny always does a great job on my brows. She's also fast and relatively painless compared to other threaders I've been to in the past. She can be a little curt, especially when it gets busy, but I don't really mind customer service going to the wayside as long as my brows are neat and even. I used to go to Eyebrow Threading in Flint, but the one threader I trust there recently went on maternity leave so I make the 30 minute drive here and it's definitely worth it. read more

She has mentioned I should come in more often, but this is true! I'm not able to go in as often as I need or even want. She's always done a fabulous job cleaning up my crazy eyebrows. It's true, this isn't a high end spa... It is always CLEAN and I would never describe it as uncomfortable. It's a walk-in type place. I've never had to wait long. I love the way my face looks when I get it threaded. I do my whole face because I love the smooth feeling! The lady has always been nice to me and I'm suprised by some of the other reviews about her. I've never seen her disrespect anyone. The prices are a little high, I do know a cheaper place but the work isn't as good. I prefer when the lady does the work instead of her husband. My first time here, I let my eyebrows grow out for about 2 entire weeks so I could have them done properly. I was super impressed with the shape and how they looked. Two weeks later I went in for my next appointment and was hugely disappointed. They were not even and didn't even good! It was the same person that did them both times and I had not tweezed them or done anything to them in that 2 week time frame.
