Tried to make an appointment and left a message saying I'm a new client. They never called back. Guess they don't need the business?!

I went to the perfect image hair salon today that was recommended by my girlfriend, and it was far less than perfect. They up charged me for having "additional" ( long) hair after the service . The wash of my hair - she barely did a lather or used shampoo/ conditioner product- I asked for flat iron - she just grabbed a few pieces of hair - she didn't take the time to clip up the hair and do in layers like my other stylist in LA . I even told her she was really fast - and she replied "oh really ". I am definitely not returning and maybe I should speak up at time of service but ultimately it's the stylists job to provide a good service and not give the bare minimum that includes an up charge . read more

I was very upset to find out that Patrick had left the salon to go back to school, he knew what I wanted even when I couldn't explain it. The new stylist colored my hair with the colors I asked for, but the longer I looked at it the more disappointed I became. I actually called the salon to tell them how unhappy I was with my new style and the owner Grant had me come back in and have a different stylist "fix it". Kristy K. I love Aimee! I researched high and low for a great Microblading professional and scoured instagram for content that had a professional and practiced hand. I connected with Aimee after months of following her (and many others), and I'm proud to say that I had my eyebrows done by her! Today was my first color re-touch after completing my Microblading appointment almost 12-13 months ago. My eyebrows held up beautifully for this time as an active professional who loves face creams, masks, and exfoliating (careful to avoid my brows). I really only started to notice fade where I had to fill around month 9-10, but I do boot camp daily, and hot yoga several times a week, so these brows were (and still are) bangin! I was so happy to go in today and get my color retouch done in less than 90 minutes and Aimee remembered exactly how I like my brows, what good colors work with my skin tone, and is a wonderfully intelligent woman to have a nice conversation with during your appointment. She does a whole lot more now besides Microblading like henna, and laminating (she showed me some photos and laminating looks sweet if you already have a natural brow that needs to lay prettier). I made an appointment for a pedicure and shortly after was called to reschedule for the next weekend. I agreed but when I arrived early for my appointment they said I was late and there was nothing they could do. They said my appointment was for 10:45, I had 11:00 down and was there at 10:50 but was still turned away. The spot for the pedicure wasn't even set up so I don't think they ever intended to provide the service. Terrible customer service. read more

My husband and I came in for separate services; I got an eyelash lift & tint with an eyebrow wax with Aimee and my husband got a haircut with Melissa. Aimee did an amazing job on my eyelashes!!! This place used to be alright. But I had a really awful experience last fall where I asked for some blonde highlights and they came out so orange. I went back to fix it and within a few days it was orange again. I just talked to a friend who also had a bad experience and so I decided to leave a review. She got her hair dyed, the women doing it was never around and my friend left with wet hair that had dye leaking out onto her shoulders. All the dye washed out and my friend tried to get information on caring for her hair and the stylist was not helpful at all. Another bad experience I had was last time I wanted a lash lift, the perm liquid burned my eyes because it got in my eye. I've gotten a lift here prior to this and it turned out great but the second time it burned bad and it didn't even last but two days. This place used to be good but I hear more and more girls and women complain and honestly there's better places that are cheaper. This place messed up three times that I know personally of so I decided to write a review. I don't typically do this, I just wanted to warn people. read more

Tucked away in the strip mall near Super Wal-Mart and the M-89 Theater is The Perfect Image Salon. I have been going to Plainwell for years to visit family and never noticed it there! I had a coupon so I figured I would give it a try. I knew they were an Aveda salon, so that helped nudge me into trying. I was treated to a mini chair massage before my hair was washed. I thought that was great until I sat in the chair to get my hair washed and found the hair sinks were heated. A cup of coffee was offered and accepted. I was getting pretty cozy! The hair cut was great and I had no complaints, no regrets! I wanted to do something a bit different and loved how it turned out. The stylist noticed my hands were a bit dry and she let me try some of the AMAZING Aveda hand lotion. I was totally sold on it. I have been buying the lotion faithfully since then and it's made the dry, cracked MI winter hands so much better this year. I will be back again and I am looking forward to it! read more

The school my daughter attends had a event and there was some sweet ladies offering hair services at the school. In a matter of minutes she did a dry cut on my 6 year old and gave her some cute bangs. OMG!! Perfect Image Salon in Plainwell is awful!! I saw the owner, Grant to have my hair colored blonde with some fun reddish chunks in the front and on top (I was ready for an extreme change). I brought pictures to show the all over blonde I wanted and another picture of a redhead to show the chunky accents I wanted. I even brought a color 'wheel' pic to show the blonde and red. I walked out with the back of my head brown with a blond blob in the middle, the top looks like a reddish toupee with some blonde in it and the sides resemble a distinguished man (light color patches look grey next to the red/brown color). It is a HOT MESS. I called the next day and Grant stated I showed him a pic of a redhead and that's what he gave me so if I want blonde put in, I would have to pay for highlights. Seriously? The real conversation was Grant telling me the only way to get the blonde I showed him was to bleach my hair and then questioned if I wanted to do that. I said I'd prefer not to bleach it, so he suggested dyeing the roots blonde and that would make the rest look lighter. hhhmmm, not sure how that translated into "Grant, please make my hair look like a red/brown/purplish toupee is sitting on my head and leave the back brown with a light colored blob in the middle. While you are at it, please do not blend it." Yeh, pretty sure that was not the conversation. I brought pictures to the appointment to show the blonde I wanted all over, the redhead pics were to show how I wanted the chunks of red, and I even brought a color chart with blondes and reds I liked. After reading reviews on Yelp, I decided to give this salon a try, and I'm glad I did. Not only did I get a mini-spa treatment, with aroma therapy, pressure point relaxation, chair massage, and scalp massage (all included in the price of a cut), but my stylist was outstanding when cutting my hair! She asked questions about what I was looking for, did a great job, and didn't make mindless small talk that requires more mindless chatter in return.
