Rocky Mountain Dental Group was referred to me by my coworker whose husband has been going there for years, and she spoke very highly of them - I am glad I took her word! Due to the first unfortunate incident, I hadn't had my teeth cleaned in about a year - though all my life I've been diligent about visiting the dentist every 6 months - so when I went to my last dentist I was hoping to remedy the situation and get back on track. However, the hygienist supposedly diagnosed me with early periodontal disease and claimed I would need a series of "deep cleanings," which I found out would not be covered by insurance, and would cost me about $1200 over a years worth of cleanings. I never had any issues with my teeth, and neither the dentist or hygienist explained to me what my symptoms were or made any attempt to help me understand what they saw that led them to this conclusion. I was already skeptical after leaving so decided to call back and schedule a regular cleaning (since I didn't even get one while I was there) and they informed me I would be explained the dangers of refusing their deep cleaning treatments and have to sign a waiver of all responsibility if I didn't go through with it. Well needless to say that really made me question their motives, so I searched for a second opinion. Immediately when I called Rocky Mountain Dental Group they made me feel comfortable. The woman I spoke to was incredibly friendly and helpful, and even got my x-rays from the previous dentist with ease. I was able to get an appointment within a week of when I called. My hygienist, Dave, was wonderful - he almost immediately dismissed the idea that I had periodontal disease and explained to me exactly how to determine the symptoms of the disease via my x-rays. He conducted a thorough exam of my mouth and explained to me every step of the way what he was doing and why. He said his job is to educate his patients and I really appreciated that. I now feel like I can avoid being taken advantage of again with claims of periodontal disease. The doctor also examined my teeth and assured me that I had no issues to be concerned about other than some minor gingivitis. They didn't push any unnecessary procedures, made sure I was comfortable the entire time, and went above and beyond in answering all my questions and concerns. I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Dental Group and am so relieved I finally found an honest, smart, and responsible dental practice.

The person who I originally went to see has left the practice, the new person is Dr. Christina Lynn, DMD. I feel that she is a very honest Dentist. Today was my first visit with her. I went in for my six month cleaning with Eric who is the dental hygienist and then Dr. Lynn came in to give me my exam. She was awesome, everyone there from Ashley who answers the phone, to Eric who cleaned my teeth, to Dr. Lynn who did my exams, everything was wonderful. Hi head set up appointments with my entire family on different days to get their teeth cleaned and other dental things done that was going on. I feel confident that Dr. Lin knows what she is doing. I am hoping this is not now the new norm here? Also the very reason I'm writing this. I came in for a crown which had a cavity under it. The first appointment went fine, all of the drilling, scans, temporary crown etc. Three weeks later I come for the placement of the new permanent crown! Was in the chair for 2.5 hours. Was finally told the new crown was wrong, and I would need new scans and another temp. I had mentioned that I had another appointment, and was assured it was going to be fast. The dentist left and said she would be back in 10 min. After 30 more, I finally left the room to ask the hygienist how much longer it would be. She said the dentist was in a surgery, so she took the x-ray into her so that she could approve her to make the temp so that I could leave. Thankful for her doing that, and just asked for a different dentist for the next time. Two weeks later, my next appointment went exactly the same way. 2 hours and they finally blamed the lab..and another temp was placed. I was patient and friendly and tried to understand each time. Three weeks later...I was greeted very abruptly by the person that took me into the room, the dentist came in and did not even hardly address or speak to me. After putting it in my mouth for a moment, he left the room. She did a few things, and then handed me a paper to sign stating I would be happy with it. I asked why when I was never asked this before with the other ones, and I wasn't sure I was happy with it because it wasn't even in my mouth yet. I felt like they were rude and just wanted to get rid of me. I was never even the one complaining, there was a problem and that's why they could never get it to fit and took so many hours each time trying. not only did I leave each out the money, with another temporary in my mouth. None of that was my fault. So, if this is how they treat people when it was their lab that was the consistent problem....I definitely thought the final treatment was worthy of a negative review!
