We dropped by on a weekend during lunch and browsed the menus of all the food stalls located inside and came across LJ Kitchen. After looking at the pictured menus and viewing the menu we decided to purchase some pan seared steamed pork and scallion buns along with a char su biscuit. Ordering was simple by placing an order on the kisok provided and typing in your phone number and name. The kiosk had pictures along with the food item and price. We found a table and sat down and within 10 minutes our food was ready. We started snapping pictures instantly before we dug in admiring this beautiful creation. The char su biscuit was hot and flaky releasing steam into the air. The char su was tender and flavorful with hints of 5 spice seasoning of cinnamon, star anise, cloves, fennel, and peppercorns bursting into your mouth when sinking your teeth into it. the pan seared buns were the star of the show with the top side being seared and the bottom part steamed filled with moist pork and scallion meatball inside. The dipping sauce was a soy base with vinegar and paired perfectly with the dish. Altogether we enjoyed coming here eating the delicious food and are excited for our next visit!

It was good though it was lacking a little flavor and had a little burnt taste. The 'tofu brains', basically a savory silken tofu, was pretty delicious. Had a strong black vinegar flavor and complimented the jianbing well. Great place to get some unique Chinese foods.

Ambiance: The restaurant was large, and can sit parties anywhere from 1-8+. Service: You place your order at the kiosk and you wait for your food to come out. Food: I've been here a few times, and it's truly a hit or miss depending on the restaurant you choose. I didn't enjoy the tacos that I had recently because it tasted bland and not fresh (microwaved). However, the last time I came here, I ordered coffee and some fried chicken and they were great!

Seems like the Kitchen is adding new restaurants to the roster! Bowl & Bao seems new to the roster but man.. the food? Easy 10/10. Big back activities here, but we wanted to try the noodle dishes and the rice dishes. Ordered the chicken "mega drum" bowl, pork belly bowl, creamy bbq sausage spaghetti, and street-style savory spaghetti. My favorite was the chicken, it was FRESH out the kitchen. I'm talking CRISPY skin but juicy meat - like wow. Definitely took leftovers home and am so excited to have it again as leftovers. We even got to speak to the owner Andy for a bit who was so nice and welcoming. We will definitely be back again to try more menu items! Fun fact: Bowl & Bao, Fry Buns and Waddle Tea are owned by the same owner :)

A spicy chinese noodle shop that far exceeded my expectations…read more Jin was an exceptionally attentive employee who would often check up on us and top off our waters. Excellent service despite having no reason to, since we ordered through a qr code located on the tables. I don't write about customer service unless it was genuinely something that was worth telling people. He gave us a good rundown of the situation of the restaurant and provided an in-depth explanation of the menu for my first time there. He gave us plenty of options to choose from and explained what consisted in each of the dishes. Which helped us ultimately make our choices and I enjoyed every single dish. The interior was well decorated with modern/futuristic reflective aesthetics. A great touch that made me love it even more was the dimming bags put over the spotlights adorned around the ceiling to help cut down on glare and make it a bit more comfortable to enjoy the atmosphere. The mixed vegetable salad was a very pleasant blend of sweet, savory, and Sichuan spice. I originally was going for the cucumber but I was interested in more variety and opted to try more of what they had to offer. It still hit as a refreshing appetizer to complement our other dishes. 9/10 The black pepper noodles were actually amazing with how it balanced out a lot of strong, potentially overwhelming flavors. The black pepper was perfectly seasoning the fiery stir fried bell pepper and noodles. The beef played a great supporting role to elevate the dish without making it all about itself. 8.5/10 The Number 1 rice noodles in soup was powerful without being indulgent. The flavors hit hot and hard but still savory and tastefully diverse. Jin recommended it as the noodles have a very pleasant chew and had a diverse plating with bok choy, pickled mustard, and an egg to top it off. 8.5/10 Overall I enjoyed this place completely and will 100% return when I come back to Texas.
