A spicy chinese noodle shop that far exceeded my expectations. Jin was an exceptionally attentive employee who would often check up on us and top off our waters. Excellent service despite having no reason to, since we ordered through a qr code located on the tables. I don't write about customer service unless it was genuinely something that was worth telling people. He gave us a good rundown of the situation of the restaurant and provided an in-depth explanation of the menu for my first time there. He gave us plenty of options to choose from and explained what consisted in each of the dishes. Which helped us ultimately make our choices and I enjoyed every single dish. The interior was well decorated with modern/futuristic reflective aesthetics. A great touch that made me love it even more was the dimming bags put over the spotlights adorned around the ceiling to help cut down on glare and make it a bit more comfortable to enjoy the atmosphere. The mixed vegetable salad was a very pleasant blend of sweet, savory, and Sichuan spice. I originally was going for the cucumber but I was interested in more variety and opted to try more of what they had to offer. It still hit as a refreshing appetizer to complement our other dishes. 9/10 The black pepper noodles were actually amazing with how it balanced out a lot of strong, potentially overwhelming flavors. The black pepper was perfectly seasoning the fiery stir fried bell pepper and noodles. The beef played a great supporting role to elevate the dish without making it all about itself. 8.5/10 The Number 1 rice noodles in soup was powerful without being indulgent. The flavors hit hot and hard but still savory and tastefully diverse. Jin recommended it as the noodles have a very pleasant chew and had a diverse plating with bok choy, pickled mustard, and an egg to top it off. 8.5/10 Overall I enjoyed this place completely and will 100% return when I come back to Texas. read more

The broths are rich and flavorful. Personally, I really liked the House Special noodles because it's spicy and sour. This was also recommended by the employee! I like that the ordering option allows you to customize the level of spice, numbness, amount of oil, etc. for each option on the menu. Oh I love this place. I wish I could give it 6 stars. I genuinely believe this is one of the best hidden gems in Plano with the freshest, most delicious and creative dishes. The ambiance is great with a variety of seating options and cute decorations. The restaurant is clean and service is notably warm and attentive. There is so much care that goes into running this restaurant, and it shows up during every part of the experience! The spicy cucumber salad is unreal. I've never been a cucumber lover, and this is changing my heart. One of my best bites of the year! I also love the Shanghai scallion noodles. They are so flavorful and cozy. So some of my favourites have changed over time. The tofu skin skewers doesn't seem to have the same puffy crispy exterior anymore... I wonder if they changed the brand of tofu skin? The chicken cutlet skewers have gotten smaller too. They've taken some dishes out of the original menu but at least my go to orders such as the yibin noodles and Dan Dan noodles are still available. I mostly order to go and have noticed the nice packaging and utensils have changed too.. it's now the average cheap to go containers and utensils. It's fine but kind of miss the old packaging. read more

This is honestly amazing food!! Ordering is easy with a quick scan from the QR code on the menu. Water was brought to me quickly without having to ask!!! Bonus!! Had a couple of Sapporo's while enjoying some spicy golden soup beef noodles and another dish yibin burning noodles both are worth trying. The spicy noodle has a different taste but I love it and the golden soup is flavorful and well the best noodles I've had outside of Tawain and Japan! So I think that hand pulled noodles are my husband's new favorite and No 1 Noodles was the deliverer of the goods! We had an exceptional shredded chicken noodle dish that was served cold and was similar to a salad and the most delicious spicy beef noodles. I cannot say enough about the texture of the noodles, the freshness of the ingredients and the superior flavors. The service was over the top helpful and kind. The atmosphere is absolutely stellar with some of the prettiest chopsticks that I have every seen in large containers on the tables. My friends and I thought No1 Noodles was just ok... It tasted like other Chinese Noodles places. The tofu sheets was probably the worst thing from the dishes we ordered. It needed something else for flavoring. There are a lot of choices for you though. However I think the choices just vary a little bit from each other and not an entirely new dish. read more

Came here on me and my girlfriend's little trip to Dallas. We had the crab roe noodles which is very hard to come by so I highly recommend. Very creamy with lots of crabby umami flavor, check out the video I attached I got the spicy Chinese noodle soup which is their popular item. I thought it was well seasoned with just the right about of Sichuan. We shared our dishes but both of us could not decide which was the better dish. Service was very quick for a Sunday afternoon Ambiance was really nice, tucked into the Plano Chinatown plaza close to the mitsuwa. When we went they were also playing sports and also serve alcohol. Would make a fun little place to catch a game with friends. I recommend stopping by here any given day. Food was good, service was quick, and many things to do around the area. read more

My friends wanted to try this place after seeing their viral crab roe noodles on Instagram. We waited for around 10 minutes before we were able to seat our group of 5. There wasn't really a great waiting area so we were crammed near the entrance between tables. While waiting, we noticed they had a promotion for a free appetizer but it had already expired, so that was a little disappointing. We noticed a unique aquatic theme, with a metallic ridged wall reminiscent of the reflective ocean surface and floating mesh fish descending from the ceiling. Even the glasses they provided had the same ridged design which was a nice touch. The tables were at an awkwardly high chest height for us but they were manageable once we got to slurping our noodles. We were able to scan the QR code to collectively order for our table, and even could see who ordered what based on the initial that showed up in the cart. We got the Shanghai scallion oil noodles, seafood fried noodles, crab roe noodles (of course), and various appetizers including popcorn chicken, braised pork shoulder, and chicken patty. Most of the appetizers were disappointing. The popcorn chicken seemed to be mostly breading and had a strange powdery orange-colored topping that added an unusual tang. The braised pork shoulder was cold and flavorless. The chicken patty arrived a bit late but was alright. Unfortunately, the popular crab roe noodles actually seemed to be a miss, since it just tasted like crab but had no additional seasoning or flavor. The waiter was nice and offered for us to film the presentation as he stirred and unraveled the plastic around it. The seafood and Shanghai scallion noodles were better. I got the seafood noodles and was pleasantly surprised by how many mussel and squid pieces there were, and the noodles were well-sauced and cooked perfectly. I ended up bringing home some leftovers and they were quite greasy though. Overall, I think the dishes here are hit or miss, but might return for some of their tried-and-true items. read more

This is one of my favorite places for crab roe noodles! It's easily one of the best dishes there. I always crave it. It gets a 9/10. The Fried dumplings are the perfect appetizer. They're very crispy. The chicken karage is also very yummy. There's a powder on them that gives it the perfect taste. I also liked the tomato and egg noodles. I would give it a 7.5/10. My favorite skewers had to be the cabbage and beef. The cabbage along with the cucumber went nicely with the other foods. The servers were very nice and attentive! This place has been on top of my to-try places for a while. Finally made it today. Upon entry i was quickly seated, although they seemed really understaffed. Took me about 10 minutes to put my order in. The food was underwhelming due to how much anticipation I had for it. The yibin noodles were not the same as I remember having in China. It lacked the spiciness and numbing qualities of the dish. The dry bits of pickles were tasteless and yucky. The husband and wife beef dish was fine. I will have to doctor it up more at home with more sauces. The chili oil lacked the fragrance of chili's that would be marking a high quality dish. Would be curious to try their fried skewers sometime and other noodle dishes to see if I would change my mind. For those who haven't had really good noodle dishes in China, this place is fine to try a variety of dishes that you can't find in a typical Chinese place. read more
