I've been going to Christina for over a year now just for nails because I don't trust anybody else. I always walk out completely satisfied everytime. Unfortunately, my sister (who is mentally handicapped) had a tramautic experience and no longer wants to go to a nail salon ever again because of Perfect Ten. I gifted her a Groupon for what I thought would be a relaxing/fun manipedi. After receiving the service, payment was demanded. My sister was confused because she had a Groupon (which turned out to actually be for a different salon). Not understanding/knowing what to do, she called mom/dad for help. While my dad was on the way, Perfect Ten CALLED THE POLICE. My sister was absolutely terrified, confused, and alone while the police questioned/interrogated her. Of course, they were paid for their services as soon as dad arrived. But I am absolutely FURIOUS and DISAPPOINTED that a business owner would think that the best way to solve a small misunderstanding with a peaceful, mentally handicapped customer would be to call the police instead of simply waiting for their guardian. I had no idea this little studio, tucked away next to a bowling alley, was even here. My sister told me about this place so i googled them and found Sara Filar's nail art designs and just fell in love. Sara is a real nail artist who loves her craft and you can tell in the quality of her work. In my photo you can see i opted for the mernaid nails and you can see a bunch of mermaid designs by her on her fb. Perfect 10 had some good things about it, but overall I was not too satisfied with the experience. Christina is the owner and she definitely knows her stuff. Her salon is very clean and reasonably priced. However, I had the gels done and they only lasted about 4 days, which was really disappointing. Additionally, the staff were friendly and nice but they spent a lot of time gossiping about another local salon and talking about their kids, families, lives, etc. It was like a big loud gossip fest so I felt like I was at cocktail hour, not a salon. I felt this was not very professional and it really took away from the experience. It also meant that my nails took a LONG time as Layla seemed more interested in chatting with the other girls there. One of the best massages I have ever had. The therapist is very adept at finding the knots and working them out. I found this massage therapist via a groupon that was gifted to me. It was so good, I went and bought for myself and family. Very conveniently located with easy parking. The only drawback encountered is the telephone number on the group on is incorrect. I searched and found the correct number and it takes 2-3 days to reach an actual person at the salon to set your appointment. It is nothing fancy, but I prefer function, casualness and great competence over fancy form and elite-ness. I definitely recommend Arelys as your go to massage therapist, if you are looking to distress and relax, or revitalize and/or gain more range of motion. Have had my nails done here. I like the glass tubs over ceramic for sanitary reasons, would like to see that carried over to use of tools.
