I've been getting my nails done for as long as I can remember. Recently found this gem while visiting my mom in Saint Pete for Mother's Day. We decided last minute to get our nails done. Walked in on a busy Sunday morning, they were able to squeeze us in. Looked like they had lots of people working. The salon was nice, clean and did not reek of chemicals like other salons. I love getting hard gel and ombré French on my nails but not many salons offer it. To my surprise they offered both and did a very good job. I loved how my nails turned out and that's very unfortunate because I will have to be driving all the way from Sarasota to get my nails done! read more

I've been trying out different nail salons in Pinellas County and I had a great experience at Venus Nails & Spa. I got a manicure and pedicure. They have several pedicure types to choose from. I got the deluxe and it even included a scrub, massage and hot stones. The manicure was exactly what I wanted. Lena was very nice and friendly. She made sure I got exactly what I came in for. I'll definitely be back. The massage chairs for the pedicure were nice. I like that it massages your bottom, too. I noticed they clean the chairs after each customer which is great! I don't see that at most nail salons. This place is located in a complex with other retailers and there's plenty of parking available. read more

Outrageous!!!!! My elderly mother and her companion visited this salon today and were treated in a completely unacceptable and humiliating manner. An employee loudly accused my mother's companion of stealing, repeatedly yelling "you took it" in front of a full salon of customers. It was embarrassing, upsetting, and completely inappropriate. A short time later, the employee found the missing item and returned apologizing -- but then immediately tried to deny that an accusation had even been made. What made the situation worse was management's complete lack of response. No real apology, no effort to de-escalate the situation, and no attempt to make things right after publicly humiliating innocent customers. read more

I really like coming to Venus to get my pedicures. Everyone is always so nice and helpful. They are efficient without making me feel like they are rushing through and they always do a great job. My most recent visit I had Tammy and she was so sweet. My feet look great and I always look forward to coming back. read more

I really like going to Venus. The staff are professional, they do a great job and really important to me is they never hurt me. I've been to nail salons that they hurt or burned my nail when using the drill to clean off my nails. I never have to worry about that here. They take great care to make sure I'm comfortable. My nails and pedi always look so good. They've upgraded the seats, the massage chairs, the TV's. It looks great! read more

Horrible. Only giving high stars so this doesn't get buried.I tried to treat myself after a long week and it ended up being just a money pitt of truly subpar work. They gap in my dip (which should have been a hairline gap to prevent lifting and irritation) was so large it looked like I had my nails done two weeks ago. classic sign a salon is rushing and sacrificing quality to blow through more customers. They fixed it but it took forever to convince them the gap wasn't normal. So expensive for such shoddy, rushed worked. I will never stray from La Vaue again read more

Came here on a weekday night around 720pm and they close at 8pm so the lady was definitely rushing since I was her last customer. She was rushing me as I was picking out my nail color and then I felt she did everything so fast. I got the spa pedicure and she did a good job painting my nails but the bottom of my feet were still not totally scrubbed through. I also felt like she took my credit card hastily and snatched it out of my hand. Overall, it was a very clean and nice big room and the prices were very reasonable however, it wasn't a relaxing, take your time with each customer type of feel. Favorite place in St Pete to get my nails done! The girls are so sweet and there are lots of options available for what you can do there. If you are going in the evening or on a weekend I would definitely make an appointment, this spot is popular. The restaurant that was next to them closed so there is plenty of parking, there is even a lot behind the building. Prices are average compared to other nail salons in the area. We usually just go for pedicures and they do a great job. My boyfriend goes with me and loves it more than I do so it is definitely for the boys too! read more
