I am eternally grateful to Dr Frey, Annie and the whole staff. This first picture is what a typical jaw / face structure should look like. The second picture is where I started this journey in 2020. Everyone always told me I had a "defined" jaw, that was actually a result of years of clenching as well as just how my facial/ jaw structure was. I had severe TMJ. I had tried everything, got night guards, went to other "TMJ specialists" that did nothing but tell me to do stretching and wear a night guard, did exercises I had googled, spent hundreds of dollars on Amazon products that were supposed to relieve jaw pain, I tried meditating, I tried mindfulness to relax my jaw. I even quit my extremely stressful job In hopes that would help me. I had a constant raspy voice, felt like I couldn't hear well due to pressure from my jaw by my ears, I couldn't keep my mouth open for a dental cleaning without crying or 4 Advil, I couldn't eat a sandwich without severe pain. My jaw would lock so badly and pain would build to an unbearable amount And then BAM it would click open (it would pop so loud that people across the room from me could hear it). After that would happen I would have about 10 mins pain free and then the cycle would begin again. My neck hurt, my jaw hurt, my face hurt. It was awful. I really thought I was going to have to live like that forever! Then I found Dr. Frey online. I spoke with Annie and went in for a consultation. From the moment I stepped foot in the office I felt understood, cared for, and finally not crazy and that I could be cured of pain!! Unfortunately I have to write this review because I have done my due diligence. I went to doctor Frey in a state of panic after my previous dentist passed away. To make a long story short, my issues in my mouth where ignored as he went straight for my money and focused on the cosmetic aspect of my Teeth. I went to other dentists simultaneously once I started not trusting him, having mouth pain and putting veneers in my mouth before addressing the underlying issue. Less than two years later and over 40k of expenses which would have continued to Accrue if I didn't start seeing other people and doing my dye dilligence, my entire mouth of teeth had to be extracted because he crowned teeth without ever addressing anything such as cavities or infections when I came Into his office . Now I'm With someone else, and I'm getting an entire mouth of Implants and this time I'm With the right person and feel confident these implants will last a lifetime. Dr frey shoved a contract in my face on day 1. He is good at cosmetic dentistry but he is not a dentist so if you have cavities or need anything beyond cosmetics don't go here . Your mouth and teeth are supposed to get into a better state when you are seeing a dentist consistently not a worse state and mine got progressively worse with him. Therefore, I am pissed about the 40k I gave him And based on my situation , I feel he should refund me money as he has x rays and he knows exactly What he did and exactly what he ignored. I do not know where to start with this amazingness! The staff here is super helpful. Shout out to Jasmin, who helps you with all your paperwork, insurance and any further necessary financing. The office doesn't accept insurance any longer but will bill insurance for you to get a reimbursement for what the portion the insurance company will pay. (I began treatment June 2015, when they still accepted insurance, now I have to do the reimbursement) Dr. Frey specializes in cosmetic dentistry, so don't be afraid when he offers you veneers as an option. He will offer, and if that's not what you want he is very understanding and will move on and discuss whichever treatment plan you are looking to have done. I needed some dental work completed prior to me being able to get fitted for Invisalign. Dr. Frey did the work pain free and quickly. He is so happy and a bit quirky, which I appreciate especially since I'm just about the same. He jokes around a lot to keep everything light while he's drilling in your mouth. I like that he explains everything that needs to be done, and is upfront and will tell you honestly if you need the work. Dr. Gabbay, who works in his office totally needs her own Yelp page as well. She has been so awesome with my Invisalign treatments. She explains each step thoroughly, and has done an excellent job with the treatment. (I have attached pics so you can see my progress. I am past the halfway point) When I was searching for a new Dentist, I found many who had pictures up with celebrities on their site and yelp pages. Frankly I don't care about that. I live in Los Angeles so that does not sway my decision either way. Dr. Frey didn't have celebs plastered on his website, just a bunch of regular people. In his office he has a few pics with some people. But they were modest and not boastful. The office doesn't validate for parking, but there is metered street parking, and if you pull up at the right time you might can grab a spot. Otherwise the underground garage is the way to go. I don't stress myself out over it. If there is a metered spot, I grab it, If not I just go to the garage and pay the 5 to 12 bucks typically depending on how long my stay. read more
