I was also looking to get the job done before family event so my deadline was tight. Her estimate came in the next day and was very competitive, and compared to the other bids I had received, we were getting fantastic value. We accepted the offer and her team came out early the following week committed to completing the job before my deadline. The team did a fantastic job, exceeding my expectations. I was particularly impressed with the construction of the three gates I called for. Two side gates were especially attractive, and a double 10 foot gate in the back was very well constructed with 8 inch square pressure treated posts and a steel frame supporting the structure. I am planning on using the Red Diamond team for additional projects on my property and would enthusiastically, recommend them to anyone.

A couple weeks turned into over a month because life happens and I recently sent him an email asking him if he was still interested or what happened or if he had anything for me from our meeting I don't know what happened but communication went to nothing and I feel like I was ghosted after our first meeting, which sucks because I was really excited with all the ideas that he had given me for a remodel of my kitchen that is not incredibly user-friendly at the moment.

Anton and his crew exceeded our hopes and requirements. This was a small project to update a small guest bathroom. The original contract was clear, clean, and Anton abided by all terms. We found the price to be fair and reasonable. Anton connected us with a collaborative designer with whom he works closely (Bonnie Johnson, Spruce & Steel Design). Bonnie added a synergistic fit with Anton, providing him with critical detailed drawings and managed us (the clients) relative to design choices such as tile, lighting, hardware fixtures, etc. What stood out as exceptional was the quality of the crew and the work each of them did. They arrived on time and worked incredibly hard. Impressive was their attention to small details that shaped the outcome. Last, the relationship with Anton (and his crew) was friendly, respectful and professional. Anton in particular responded to every inquiry immediately. This made for a wonderful experience. We would definitely use them again.

They advertised on their website they are licensed. But as of 10/21/2024, they have a suspended license. Back in 2017 they were fined for working without a license. I wonder how the CCB will react when they find out Hillsboro Handyman was once again working without a license and committing fraud...

We contracted with Red Tail to do a siding replacement, rot repair and other work on our rental…read moreproperty. We were very pleased with the quality of the work and the attention to detail. When we initially contacted prospective suppliers, we received a variety of "quotes". They ranged from a one-line email with a price per square foot, to a few generic quotations. And then there was Jonny at Red Tail. He came out and spent several hours studying the property, taking pictures and video, discussing options and their relative costs and thinking in-depth about the roots of the problems we observed. As an engineer myself, I recognized his approach was one of solving the problem, not covering it up. The Red Tail quote was somewhat higher than the others we received, and it took longer to complete. We decided to go with it because we felt that this was the only quote that had accurately captured the scope of the work, and we'd rather do business with someone who doesn't compromise on quality or try to low-ball the bid to get the work. He referred us to a recent job he'd completed in town and we stopped by to look at it. The workmanship was excellent, and the homeowners had great things to say about the job. (Funny....a lot like what I find myself writing right now!) The final bill came in higher than the original quote, as we expected. There was rot repair and some additional work that came to light as we got the walls opened up, and we were told up front that there would be as-yet-unknown costs for this. That was made very clear, and the cost of time and materials to do the extra work was fair and reasonable. I also asked for a couple of extras that were optional, but saved me a lot of work vs doing it myself. Overall we're extremely happy with the job. It looks great, our tenants were delighted with the results and reported no problems with the crew. They kept the job site very clean and neat, and did all of the appropriate remediation for lead paint and hazardous materials. Highly recommended, and we'll be calling them again if we need future work done.
