Gino and his team re-sided my home in October of 2022. They were the 6th bid I received, so I knew a good deal when I saw it. It wasn't just that his price was fair, they had re-sided a co-worker's home ~11 years prior and their name was listed in his stack of references. I spoke to my co-worker and they STILL had good things to say about Gino and Lifetime. In addition, the company is Hardieplank Elite Preferred installer, meaning they were up to date on any installation best practices and that was important to me. Unlike all of the other bids, there was no pressure. Gino was easy to work with, extremely responsive, meticulous attention to detail. No overselling or "the sky is falling" behavior. No eye rolling or treating me like I was a PIB at the end when some little painting details needed extra attention. Was very respectful of me as a woman. No weirdness or disconnect from his team. Everyone was on the same page. And his team are direct employees of Lifetime ... for many multiple of years. This latter point spoke volumes to me. His employees were superlative workers who were VERY careful about picking up debris, daily check-ins, keeping an eye out for my dog's safety, etc. They were on time, in budget and did great work with everyone being super professional. Recently Lifetime Remodeling replaced and painted some siding on my house where the paint was not sticking any more. The replaced siding looks great and the person who replaced the siding explained what they were doing and gave me suggestions about how to maintain the outside of my house. Working with Lifetime was great! Our contractor was Mike Short and the project was re-siding and painting our 1920s craftsman in SE Portland. They were knowledgeable about what the house was "supposed to look like" but also very accommodating when it came to our personal preferences. Snags came up along the way, as they will with an old house, and they were great at rolling with the punches and explaining what they were doing and why they needed to do it. Gino's crew did a great job taking down two layers of old siding, repairing the damage that was discovered, and putting up the new cedar siding. This old house needs quite a bit of work still and all the other contract companies that have been to my house have commented at what a good job the siding company did. This review is based on a quote/bid only. It was for complete siding (cement board) job on a two story 2600 sf house. They were $10k higher than the highest bid I got from any other siding contractor (had 5 bids). But their sales presentation is very lengthy and thorough - with all sorts of materials & "things" that they said are "better" than all the other guys. Again, I had no work done. This is just based on pricing to give you a heads up. It seems like all the other reviews were quite positive based on what they got done. So, if you don't mind paying a lot more - the other reviews attest a positive experience. Too much high sales pressure and seemingly unnecessary gimmicky stuff for my taste - coming from a construction background myself. read more

I would like to preface my review by stating that the actual siding work that was done on my house turned out very nice. However, the lack of professionalism and customer service that I dealt with from Lifetime Remodeling Systems throughout the life of my project greatly overshadowed any of the work that was done on my house and made for a very bad experience. LRS came highly recommended to me by a friend. So I called them up and setup an estimate for new siding. I sat through the very thorough sales pitch where I was told about the siding process they use and how important their customers were to them and that they wanted this to be a positive experience. The sales person then went out and did some measurements on my house so I could get an estimate. The estimate came in about $10K higher than I had expected but considering how highly LRS was recommended to me by someone I trusted, I went ahead and signed a contract for work with them. We set a tentative start date of November (it was August when I got the estimate) and I was told that I would be contacted about a week or so before the actual work started so we could finalize any details we needed to in order for the work to begin. Well, late October rolls around and I have not heard anything out of LRS (this would become a common theme) so I email and I am told that everything is still on track but it was looking like mid to late November. I sent a response email asking for some clarification on a few things related to the job and I get no response from LRS for almost a week. By this point it is basically November when the job was supposed to originally start and I have no clue what is going on or what to expect. Mid November comes and goes with zero communication from LRS. End of November comes and goes with zero communication from LRS. So I finally I decide to call and ask for a different project manager for my job as I am getting no communication whatsoever regarding the siding job that was supposed to be started in November. This is when the President of the company takes over my project. I am given an apology and am reminded of how highly rated his company is on multiple review sites and that having unhappy customers is not something that happens with LRS. The siding job finally starts in January and things go pretty smoothly while the job is in process. Took about 3 weeks to tear down and put up new siding and paint. Once the painting is done, I am contacted to pay the remainder of $30K that I still owed and I do so. Within a few days of paying off my balance, the downspouts on my house, that had been taken off during siding process and put back up, fall off during a wind/rain storm. I contact LRS and they send out someone to put the downspouts back up. They end up putting some brackets on the downspouts to secure them to the house so they do not fall off again. As things were wet from the rainstorm, I am told they they will send someone out later to paint the brackets to match the downspouts. After a month of no one coming to paint the downspouts, I contact the President of LRS and he assures me that someone will be out the following week to paint. No one shows up to paint and no one contacts me to reschedule or let me know things are delayed. Six weeks go by with no word from LRS so I email the President again and ask him to let me know when they plan on coming out to finish my job. I get no response. So after a week of having my email ignored by the President of LRS, I call him on the phone on a Monday and he once again assures me that someone will be out to finish painting on Wednesday. Again no one shows up. I call the President of LRS again on Wednesday evening and leave a voicemail for him to call me back and he does not. I call him the next morning and before I can really say much he assures me that someone was on their way over that morning to finish up. A process that had started in August and had been paid for in full by mid February was finally completed at the start of May. I have lived in Portland long enough to know that weather is not ideal in the winter months for home improvement projects. So I understand that delays happen. However, I feel that when a company is getting paid $30K to do a job that they should at least have the common courtesy to communicate with you about delays in a project and not just treat you like they are doing you favor as opposed to providing a service. In a response to another review here on Yelp, LRS admits that sometimes clients "slip through the cracks." This is seems to be the case even after LRS has been paid to complete a job. I will not be making this mistake a second time. read more

Gino and his employees operate with integrity and care--totally professional. We had them out for siding, insulation, trim and paint. It was a huge job, but went really well. Our house looks great. They preserved the historic character of our home, (offering great ideas on several points that made it come out better than imagined) while making it warm, quiet, clean and beautiful. We hired LRS to install new siding on our house this summer, and they did a phenomenal job. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail were superb. We used Hardie-Plank siding and it came out wonderful. It looks like we have a brand new house! Gino carefully explained the installation process and educated us on the specifications of installing it properly. His bid was lower than the 2nd bid we requested, and a fair price. Our house proved quite challenging, including having uneven terrain, a deck canopy that had to be removed, and removing the existing vinyl siding and the underlying foam (which was labor intensive). Despite these challenges, they did a fantastic job. They carefully showed us all of the photos of what they did each day, and have a crew member available every day to update you and answer your questions. They went above and beyond in so many ways... I can't recommend them highly enough! We are absolutely thrilled with the final result... we love driving home and seeing our bright and cheery home welcoming us. 5 stars all the way... read more

We used Gino's crew to completely replace siding on major sections of our house. Gino knew his stuff, was always on-time, super professional, a great communicator and I trusted his advise. There were parts that he advised didn't need replacement to help us save money which I appreciated. His crew worked HARD. They were all super friendly, and I appreciated their diligence even working on the weekend to help us get our project done prior to the next storm. I have 1000% confidence that these guys did solid work. My dad the engineer and my husband the critic were also both very impressed. His crew left the workzone spotless, even though they spent nearly 2 weeks setting up their elaborate operation. I was told I would have to wait months to find a sider who would be able to schedule us in, but the fact that Gino runs a crew (or 2?) that just does construction correction made it easy to get him working timely. Other companies, didn't even return my call. Overall the replacement is an expensive proposition, but considering our house is our #1 family asset, it made sense to do it once and do it right. We found out our 5 year old 1800 sq ft house siding was involved in a class-action suit against the Certainteed company. After searching here and all over the internet I discovered Lifetime Remodeling Services. They had glowing reviews everywhere we looked so we decided to use them. Scott came out in a timely manner to take a look and give us a quote. He did a great job explaining the James Hardy products and how they would be installed. When they were able to start our project, Leo and Jose were our team and they did an awesome job! They were such hard workers and courteous and professional. They asked us questions when needed and answered our questions, as well. We were very satisfied with the job they did, when it was completed and they left our yard clean of debris at the end of each workday. I saw all the stars for Lifetime Remodeling on Yelp, and needed some siding work on our home, so I called to get a quote. When you call, you get an answering service - very polite people. But I never got a return call. Tried again a week later.. again, no call back. Tried the third time today; the person on the phone, after a reasonable hold, came back and said she had tried to reach several people but none answered... would I like to leave another request for a call back. Lifetime did an extensive remodel on our house 13 years ago. Recently I noticed a leak and since they guarantee their work for life I called them up. Scott came out the next day to take a look. We had our roof done after they remodeled and he said that he thought it was from a mistake the roofers made, but he came back with Jose a couple of days later and carefully examined the area where the leak was. They didn't find anything but Jose came back a couple of days after that with another guy and they pulled it apart, including the adjacent roof-line which is where the leak was coming from because the roofers didn't seal it correctly. They patched everything up, including fixing the roof-line correctly, painted and cleaned up afterwards. You'd never know they were here except the leak is gone. I agreed before they started that if it was something that the roofers had caused I would pay for it, but when all was said and done Scott called me and said that they'd do as part of a warranty fix so no charge! I have nothing but good things to say about Lifetime, their people as super nice and professional, they do top-notch work and are a pleasure to work with. read more

During Scott's (General Manager of Lifetime Remodeling Systems) initial visit, I knew LRS'd be the company for me to hire to get my re-siding/painting project done right. I found great harmony between LRS' management practices and my own life philosophy. For example, their siding/painting crews were all company employees (and not subs) and were treated with respect and dignity. I truly believe that a caring management team produces happier employees, who in turn deliver wonderful work results for their customers. I was fortunate enough to have Chris (the Foreman), Juan, and Jesus work on my house. This was such a small crew and yet extremely efficient and effective in executing Chris' vision and plan for my house. The work covered numerous intricate details and Chris and his crew were always on top of them. What impressed me the most was how harmoniously and seamlessly they worked as a team. A fair amount of the time they worked in 90/100-degree heat and still they carried on without showing any sign of distress at all. Chris was the most hardworking foreman I had ever got to work with on a major project. He was multi-talented and was wherever he was needed at the moment. He was able to meet all my brilliant questions with his even more brilliant answers. Chris was only able to do first-rate work and his leadership and attention to detail were second to none. Scott and Chris also offered me invaluable design advice on siding and paint colors. Their recommendations have made my house turn out to be even more beautiful. Ralph from Lifetime had one of his crews put siding on our house in West Linn two years ago. Max was the foreman along with his crew and they were fantastic. When I came home every night my yard was clean. They laid out tarp all over the place. They were very friendly, really knew what they were doing. They painted all of our trim, put on crown molding and just made our house look beautiful. The flashing they put on and calking is first class. Ralph was there often and directed the crew on details. He is a perfectionist and wants a first class job done. His crew is the same. It's obvious they just take a lot of pride in their work. So fast forward to June 2015. I finally was ready to replace our roof to finish the exterior of our home. I called Ralph and he came over and gave us another very thorough and informative quote. He has master roofing certifications along with Fernando, the lead person on the roof job. Again, the crew was great, they laid out tarp everywhere and began the job. Every morning on my way to work I'd speak with Fernando and he was just so positive and customer oriented. I came home at lunch and he was on the roof doing a lot of the work himself. He's a real go getter. There's a younger guy who was part of the crew, I didn't get his name, wished I would have, but when I'd show up he would be suddenly be at my side communicating key points to me and answering my questions. He has very good customer service skills with a homeowner. He cares. Fernando cares. Ralph cares. They put on a beautiful new roof with some cool new venting on the ridge. The did some extra custom ridge work on all parts of my roof and "Wow!" it is awesome. Superman and his crew had showed up again when I called Ralph at Lifetime. I had made a mistake touching up some paint on my garage a while back on the front of my house and Ralph sent his painter over when I wasn't home and fixed it. No cost. He didn't have to do that. Fernando fixed my dented gutters from the leaf guy who removed my leaves but dented my gutters with his ladder. Ralph had them painted. No cost. Fernando didn't have to do that but he cared about my home and wanted it to look first class. Thanks Fernando! Thanks Ralph! Thanks to the whole crew! So I thought wow, Ralph does a lot of extra work on a home over and above the siding and roof. He really delivers pleasant surprises. I can't say enough good things about the way Gino Streano and his team of workers handled our project. Gino was great about explaining what work needed to be done and how the job would progress. There were no surprise extra costs and the start and finish of the work were as we were told. He has in-house workers who must be very loyal to him because they (Chris and Diego) worked as hard as possible in some of the worse winter weather we have had in years and were always VERY cheerful and had a friendly greeting for us whenever we saw them. Lifetime Remodeling Systems provided excellent service from start to finish on the exterior residing and updating of our 1926 craftsman style house in SE Portland. Gino's initial estimate was completely in line with other quotes we had received for the work. A clear scope of work was outlined in the contract with cost extras identified and billing was done on a percent complete basis. A color consultant was provided to help clarify the exterior color choices. As architects, we were both impressed by their crew's craftsmanship and careful attention to detail as well as keeping to their schedule once they were able to get started. Adalberto was the superintendent on our project and was very responsive to any concerns or adjustments regarding the new exterior design of our house. Quality products such as stainless steel nails and drainable Hydro-gap house wrap were used reflecting Gino's knowledge of the best siding practices for durability and long life. Clear finish tongue and groove cedar porch soffits completed the classic look along with the new craftsman style door they installed. The job site was left clean and well maintained at the end of each work day. We receive many compliments from our neighbors and people just passing by our home. The new exterior is a visually dramatic update to the original 1926 design.
