I was so nervous he wasn't going to sit for it, but it ended up being a wonderful experience. Upon entering, you're brought into a super welcoming, kid friendly zone. It's bright and colorful, there are cool cars to sit in, cartoons on the TV's, and they even have toys to purchase if your little one needs something to hold onto during the process. We were greeted by Yudi, who came up to my son excited and full of energy, and from that point we were good. She listened to what we wanted (I'm not ready to cut all of his hair off just yet), and she was so great with him. It was a great experience for everyone. After he was done, they took a picture that they printed out on the spot and attached it to a first haircut certificate that included a bit of his hair. We were so excited to receive this keepsake. It was a wonderful first haircut experience, and we will definitely be back for our next one.

Booked her first "long cut" appointment with Hannah on a Sunday @ 11am (it was very busy). She was super sweet & did a really good job on my daughter's haircut- 5 inches off & made sure it was even :) Loved the vibe, all the staff were nice & friendly though the salon was smaller than I expected & it felt kinda tight in there. The haircut cost is $40 for all ages & lengths except for child's first haircut- $45. You must provide your credit card info for booking & must cancel or modify before or by 6am on the day of your appt or you'll be charged $17.50. Also, $5 off for new customers- applied after your service. Definitely her go-to place from now on for haircuts, it's hard to find a kids only salon nowadays- highly recommend!

If you're bringing your child here because they're terrified of haircuts and you're hoping the staff has special techniques to make the experience easier, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Before our appointment, I explained that my son is very scared of haircuts. I was reassured that they deal with children like him all the time and have years of experience. In reality, there was no noticeable effort to help him feel comfortable. The expectation seemed to be that he'd sit in a themed chair, watch a TV show, and cooperate. My son became very upset, and the haircut ended up being done while he was crying and screaming on my lap. Hair was everywhere - covering both of us and even getting into his mouth and eyes. It made an already difficult experience much more stressful. To make matters worse, we asked for a simple trim: clean up the sides, shape the haircut, and trim his bangs so they wouldn't fall into his eyes. Instead, he was given what was essentially a buzz cut with only about half an inch left on top, and it wasn't even. His hair looks nothing like what we requested. The cleanliness of the salon was also very concerning. The toys looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time, the haircut cape still had another child's hair on it before it was put on my son, and the overall space did not feel sanitary. Overall, we left extremely disappointed. The haircut was not what we asked for, the experience was just as traumatic as a regular barber shop despite the promises, and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. We won't be returning.

She definitely knows her stuff and took so much time listening to what both of us were looking to have done. The prior owner was also a great-qualified person and clearly looked for someone to bring this shop to a new level. Karina and team has done that.
