I was so nervous he wasn't going to sit for it, but it ended up being a wonderful experience. Upon entering, you're brought into a super welcoming, kid friendly zone. It's bright and colorful, there are cool cars to sit in, cartoons on the TV's, and they even have toys to purchase if your little one needs something to hold onto during the process. We were greeted by Yudi, who came up to my son excited and full of energy, and from that point we were good. She listened to what we wanted (I'm not ready to cut all of his hair off just yet), and she was so great with him. It was a great experience for everyone. After he was done, they took a picture that they printed out on the spot and attached it to a first haircut certificate that included a bit of his hair. We were so excited to receive this keepsake. It was a wonderful first haircut experience, and we will definitely be back for our next one.

The 2nd time we went, we just popped in on a Saturday morning with no appointment and they were very accommodating. Again, the 2 ladies managing them were good and the other customers were even very kind about my shrieking 2 year old! I was stressed about it but they all made me feel ok. This is also a reasonably priced place. Price = age of your kid + $7! Much better than the "children's hair salons" which charge $25-$30 per kid. Perhaps Gemini could charge a little less for just cutting bangs, but since my kid was shrieking so much I didn't mind! I'll be going there next for my own haircut.

When I returned to the owner to have it fixed, he was not capable of correcting it. There was no real solution, no confidence in fixing the mistake, and I was essentially left with a bad haircut. I had to go to another salon to completely fix the damage. Thankfully they did an excellent job, but I should never have left this place in that condition. In mid blow she told me I had dandruff and had me rewashed with a special shampoo. She could have just kept it to herself but nope ! If you go on a Tuesday, they have a special for $16, which is quite reasonable for the area. The shop owner also works at a shop around the corner. If you go to the salon without an appointment during their regular business hours and she is not there, she has a sign on the door with her cell number. We called and she showed up just a few minutes later, really no wait at all. Parking is easy out front and the salon has little barrettes and hairbands, etc for sale.
