Absolutely the WORST dealership ive ever dealt with. They pushed my boat out the front door without performing the slightest bit of QC. Ive been working with the manufacturer because the amount of negligence at this dealership is so abundant that we know they could never even fix the issues. Bought a side by side and trailer from here. At end of purchase was told trailer has a recall and would need to return for repair. We're finally able to take back for repair, dropped it off on the 3rd, called on the 8th to check on it and was told appointment for repair was on the 8th??? What about the rest of the time it sat there??. Would get call with update, it's now 16th, and still no call. Called and was told appointment for repair is 16th!! Uhh no!! Horrible Experience. Spoke with sales rep awaiting my ski to arrive. it arrived and I was told would good credit my apr would be 4%. Received a cal from the dealer finance and Austin stated it would be 15% interest. I asked why the change . He said not enough credit history and my report indicated my car was just payed off. very disappointed!!! went in on Thursday and made an appointment to get my 150hp Yamaha boat motor serviced that I bought from performance East last October/November and was told by the service department it would cost $400 . Got it serviced today as promised. went to pick it up and was told the amount is now $576.00 after some discussion, the young lady in service reduced the price to $474.00 . Horrible customer service from Mat and his team. Our bike has been back multiple times for oil leaking issues that had been blown off multiple times. My husband went to pick our bike up and after it was loaded he noticed oil leaking out again. Went to get the service department to check it out before we brought it home and was given the run around. Mat seemed to not give a shit bc it was 5 o'clock and time to go home. Got it home problem still not fixed. This last time was just as bad waited a month and a half for the bike to be pulled apart (for now engine issues due to the oil problem not being fixed) my husband drove hours back up to pick the bike up and they just started pulling it apart. My husband and I just purchased two jet skis today from Steven and just like the previous buyer said in an earlier comment, this was the most stress free/laid back purchase. Not at any time did my husband and I feel pressured or talked into anything different. Purchased a Polaris Slingshot two years ago from this company and had good service---until this year. Called to setup appointment for 5000 mile service and was told that their new policy did not allow for same day service. Since I live over 50 miles away this would require that I find someone to make 2 trips, down and then back (a total of over 200 miles) just to get oil and filter changed and fluids, belt, etc. checked. In my opinion, this is extremely poor customer service and an unreasonable policy (for service only). So, if you do not live in or near Goldsboro, NC, you may want to consider this when purchasing a Slingshot from this company. As a side note, I then called Brewer Cycles in Henderson, NC and they were happy to set up a same day service appointment. read more

Terribly,terrible sales...... Drove 100 miles to buy a boat. They didn't have the exact boat I was looking for, but could order it and it would take 4 months and cost significantly more. They talked me into a boat. We agreed on a price and a sell. I added equipment to it. They told me I could pick it up in 5 days. They called me on day 4 and told me they just sold my boat and offered me another model at 12000 more. I refused..... They called me back and told me my boat hadn't sold and I could send them some of the cash on a card. Are these people a serious business?!?! read more

I recently purchased my first boat, a Scarab 195, and the buying experience was one of the smoothest purchases. Absolutely no bait and switch tactics or anything of the sort. However once the boat was inspected there was some upholstery damage, so Scarab replaced the upholstery under warranty. I want to personally thank Austin Mitchell in sales and Matt in the service department for all the work they have done and constantly keeping me in the loop on the repair of the boat! Just paid this company $71,152.00 for a boat. Now had my delivery date changed three times. According to what I was told. Since they have a boat show this coming weekend they do not have the staff available to take care of a current customer and have the boat prepped and made available to ship. I personally have had to change my own schedule 3 times to accommodate them, instead of them accommodating their customer. I would recommend anyone doing business with this company to take what they say with a grain of salt and purchase at your own risk!! read more

This is the response I received from customer service! Basically admitting they do not focus on their customers. It's all about the money! I understand your concerns and its a problem that the industry as a whole has right now. The boat and watercraft business is so busy that we struggle to keep up. Eventually we are going to have to focus on our customers and not work on any boats older than 10 years old. I have seen labor rates in this industry anywhere from $90-$150 an hr. Two forward and reverse cables and 2 throttle cables is harder than one might think. We do have labor charges at $90 per hr. I don't have the workorder with me today but I will look it over first of the week. I am sorry about the miscommunication, its our peak season and we have about 200 work orders waiting to be worked on. I will certainly see what I can do. My husband called your company on May 19th to inquire about a repair that we were needing for our 2003 Yamaha LX210. He was told that your company could in fact make that repair and that we should bring in right in. At no time were we told that there was a 3 month wait or that your company did not usually work on "old boats". We waited 2 weeks with no word so my husband called to check the status. He was told the part had to be ordered. A few days later we received a call saying that the other throttle cables were stretched and need to be replaced. We waited to hear back about picking up our boat but we did not hear anything so my husband called again and was told that they had to pull our boat out because of emergency repairs needing to be made to another boat. We waited some more and called again and he was told that some bolts were corroded (thats understandable). The guy he talked with said it should be ready this week. When my husband called yesterday they said they had to pull it out again for another boat. I am hoping that while reading all of that you were not very happy with the way my husband was treated and will understand why I called today to speak with someone that I thought might help resolve the situation. When I called I asked to speak with the owner and was transferred to the service manager. I thought, well let's just see what he can do. I explained all of the above to him and was again very disappointed at the reaction I received. First, he told me that your company never pulls a boat out to work on another (we were told this twice). Next, he told me that your company does not usually work on old boats (I was very insulted by this comment and let him know that). He then said boats older than 12 years old (this should never had been mentioned since it has no barring on the issue). If that was the case we should never have been told to bring it in. He went on to tell me that they were short staffed and that they were 3 months behind. I told him that we should have been informed of that ahead of time and he said that it is policy to tell customers that (it does not help us because policy was not followed, hence all the phone calls). All I received from that conversation was more frustration and excuses. He read the file back to me and gave me the wrong drop off date (he said May 30th). I asked if I could speak with Neil and he said I could leave a message and I did. I did not go into detail but left my name and number. Well, when I got home from work today, my husband was pleased to tell me our boat was ready. Then he told me how much and my jaw hit the floor! $948 for 2 forward and reverse cables and 2 throttle cables! It seems like a lot for $220 in parts. To be fair, I will certainly check on that before posting about that in my review. In closing, I just thought that you should know how some of your customers are treated. Hopefully, our new boat will not need repairs, but if it does it will not be done by Performance East. Thank you for your time and I hope this will help for the future of your family business. It is very difficult to give a review for this business but I can say that they have had my jet ski for 99 days and again we have been told it will be ready "next week". I can't tell you how many times we've been told that. We have called and left messages for Stewart who has yet to return our call. We were just told they were running 42 days behind. That would still give them ample time to make our repairs. The majority of the time our phone calls are never returned and as I stated never by Stewart, the vice president. They have had had the jet ski since mid-May. Guess what, summer is over. Needless to say once I get my jet ski back they will never be worried about having my business again. read more

This was by far the worst experience ever dealing with a dealership on the 1st service. The service desk is a joke ran by kids who make up a different excuse every time you call to check on the status of your repair. You can't get a straight answer. My utv was brand new and they left it out in the rain for over 3 weeks and now some of the bolts & body clips are rusted. I will never go back & I feel sorry for anyone who takes them anything to work on. I wouldn't even let them work on a bicycle now. They will not call you and keep you updated at all. After 2 1/2 weeks of not even touching the utv, They said it was going to be another 5-6 weeks. What a joke. Never again. read more

I recently had a very good experience with the repair of my Yamaha jetboat. I brought the boat in to their service center at the peak of busy season (as the weather breaks and the 1st uses of the boating season start). The team from Performance East slotted my repair on a reasonable schedule. The repairs related to parts corrosion due to salt-water use, were done professionally. The vessel is now in great running order for my summer boating season. The service costs and completion time were very reasonable. read more
