Avoid this place. They advertise great deals on their site and then tack on so many fees that the price has doubled by the time you get the real cash price. They as told that there are $2500 in fees for freight and assembly on an atv. They also will use any slime ball sales tactic you've ever heard of to try and push a sale. I just wanted to thank several member of Capital Powersports for a very impressive visit last week. First off Keagen in Sales is extremely helpful , friendly and informative. Even knowing that I was simply in there for service work. He's got a lot of passion for his job and motorcycles in general and it truly shows. I will be back to him when it's time for my next bike... I also would like to thank Service Manager Mason for his friendliness and great communication during my service visit. He made me right at home and kept me apprised of the status of the work. I normally go to TPS Raleigh because it's much closer to me since I live in Holly Springs. But this is likely my new go to spot for work on both of my bikes. Lastly, I wanted to call out Dan in the Service Department. He worked fast and efficiently. He even came out to talk to me directly about questions he had about whether I wanted my service interval reminders reset. Super nice guy and very pleasant to talk to. Overall I had a very nice visit. I understand the location is expanding. Tripling in size even ! I guess the only hold up to that (as I understand) is possibly the town of Wake Forest... Here's a thought. Instead of expanding or adding to the motorcycle stores in the Northern most side of Wake County, how about looking at expanding in South Wake ? :) I say that in the nicest yet most selfish way. But seriously, we really could use a location in Apex , Cary, Holly Springs or wherever. How about off Hwy 64? I just had to put this out there because there is so much potential on "my side of town". All the riders in the Southern part of Wake Co would appreciate it ! Anyway, keep up the great work ! World Class service by Justin in the Service Department, that was my experience yesterday when I carried a generator in for service. I shared with Justin that I was helping someone get prepared for the pending storm; soon to impact, and that I was loaning her my generator so she could weather the storm. Without having to ask I knew with the pending storm many others most probably have also dropped off generators for service. Justin attentively listened to me, said he could not promise anything but would do the best he could to get it back to me. He shared if parts were required and had to be ordered it would delay things. I was left feeling he was really sincere about doing his best. To set expectations he told me the standard charge was an hour of labor. I do feel the hourly labor rate is a bit high, but an hour seemed reasonable. Again, Justin was setting expectations; very professional. I am optimistic that I will get the generator back before the storm impacts. If not it will be the price one pays for procrastinating when it comes to equipment maintenance. It will not be Justin's fault or the fault of Capital Motor Sports. Justin does go the extra step; he really does, when it comes to service. For that reason I recommend the company's service department. read more

I had a really good experience with this dealer recently and I don't think enough positivity comes from these reviews... I wanted to trade my Harley Streetglide in for something smaller. They told me over the phone because they are about an hour and a half away from my house, that they would give me between a certain range for my bike. I was happy with that expecting me be somewhere in the middle. I went there and they told me they were going to give me the lowest amount over the phone. (That I was disappointed with.) Speaking with the manager I understood his logic for why they were offering that amount due to dings and dents from years of riding and then trying to resell it. They ended up giving me a good deal on a different bike that I am now extremely happy with. The only reason that I am not giving them 5 stars is because I was stuck there from 9-2:30 dealing with the process when I get there 10 minutes after they opened. I felt it should have been a quicker turn as it wasn't a very difficult process. No loan paperwork or dealing with banks, etc. Also, I made a couple different options to make-up some of the money for the cost I was expecting to get out of the bike I brought in and they wouldn't even budge... not even willing to toss in an extra T-Shirt for my wife. Over all the team here is very nice. They treat everyone with honest and integrity which goes a long way in this world. I just wish I could get give them 5 stars. I would recommend and I would go back to buy another bike for sure. read more

Be careful when trying to buy from this dealer. When they put a price online make sure you read the fine print about all the extra add ons they will try to sneak in. Price online is very misleading. Looked at trying to buy a side by side that the price online was $12,999. When they hit me with the final number it was almost $18,000 due to their "Assembly charge", "Freight Charge" and other things. Miss the days where companies advertised the real price and not try to hide and screw people. read more

I was quoted $442.50 to do a 1.5 hour brake job on my Ninja Z1000. They added a material fee which I can't understand for what. You are paying for labor. Normally just a little grease not $22.20 worth. Your paying for the whole tube. Plus an administration Fee really. I don't know what brakes their putting on here but I looked up OEM brakes and they are not nowhere what what they want to charge me. I understand that they have to make a profit, but be reasonable. I am a mechanic just don't have the time. So I know cost and value. this is a little much. read more

Sent me a short video introducing himself and showing me the bike I wanted that was still in a box (since I live 3 hours from their shop) which I thought was an extra customer service step he didn't have to. Didn't think the shop would be able to get the bike assembled and ready as quick as they did but they had it assembled and ready for me to come pick up the next day! The shop was impressively full of bikes, four wheelers, side by sides and gear! Just as full with staff and customers as well! Every staff member that walked by made a point to say hello and asked if I was being helped. Gregg M in financing and Karl Z in parts were awesome and helped finalize my deal. And AJ gave me some great tips for trailering my bike back home! Worst place to get your bike worked on. They never communicate with you. You have to call them repeatedly and then then you show up to get your bike because the service department is not answering the phone they say ohhhhh yeah we didnt get to your bike so you will have to leave it. This happened 3 different times. Never going back there. You guys have lost a customer and I will let all my friends that ride never go to your dealership. I have been taking my bike there for years. I've recently been really busy so I decided to get my oil change while getting my bike inspected. First off $150 for a oil change...ridiculous. To top it off they didn't even change my oil filter because "the bike is older then ten years old and we don't feel comfortable doing work on it".... I will say they did tell me that before I got the oil change but changing the oil filter should be done with every oil change. Service was very friendly just dissatisfied with the work. read more

I have no idea how simple minded people are that they are willing to pay 75% more for service at this dealership than they have to. There is no sense in the cost of a valve adjustment to be one thousand dollars on a R6, when EVERY dealership in the Midwest charges between 300 and 400. I should know, I called them all. NC is not that expensive of a place to live that a dealership should be charging 6 hrs of labor on a 3 hr job. Understaffed and paid to find problems with your equipment, even seems as if they cause problems and then tell you the need to be fixed while in the store payong for a failed inspection because the rear brakes were rubbing, listened and watched 4 other customer talk about how their problems still werent fixed after several visits. Sadly, I must now register my "D" rating. They did some good, but bike sat in the shop for 2 weeks before being assessed. $1900 later and 5 weeks, bike is fixed. However, one cap for the fork bolt came up "missing" so Goldwing looks bad with an exposed rusty bolt that is only getting more rusty. Manager promised to order and send- in the following 4 months I have called 5 times and driven 45 min to personally pick up and STILL have nothing but excuses. He blames the mailman. Shame I have to dress out a nice bike with electric tape... not what I expected from established dealership. read more

I stopped in to capital power sports to buy two atv's. Salesman was helpful enough at first, but then came the sit down and negotiation. Used car lot tactics all over the place here. They do everything they can do divert you from the price of everything by talking about helmets etc, and lines like "I'll go to bat for you with the boss" garbage. I'm ready to buy two atvs off the lot and they wouldn't so much as take a penny off the price. After almost two hours of this I told them goodbye. Went to a dealer in Raleigh and was treated like a customer there. Capital power sports treated me like a bonus check. That's no way to create long term relationships. read more

MY SON'S SPECIAL DAY WAS NOT-SO SPECIAL I came here today to purchase a 2018 Honda CRF50 for my son's 5th birthday. My son has been counting down the days to get this thing & the experience was less than thrilling. Upon arrival, Caleb was a deer in headlights outside. No friendly greeting, no warm smile, super quiet, no personality at all, didn't speak to us first until I finally said hello...CUSTOMER SERVICE 101. After stating several times that this was my son's birthday present (whom was there), NO ONE but a curly haired blonde woman wished him happy birthday or even acknowledged his presence. The only decent people there were a man that goes by "big red" and Stephen, the final finance guy. They were very personable and friendly. The bike was marked $1500 but they tacked on a $500 fee for the bike being delivered to the shop & a $200 paperwork fee...I was not prepared for that. My dad stepped in and pointed out that the Powersports in Garner had a cheaper price. One of the managers, Scott, was an uber douche and said to my dad, "You already looked in garner? Then why are you here??" I was shocked by his arrogant response. After he walked away, there was plenty of snickering amongst the fellow salesman. They only agreed to knocking off $100, but we still purchased the bike. (Son's big day and all) Lastly, we waited an extra 30 minutes for them to realize we were outside waiting for the bike to be loaded... I would NOT recommend this place. They treat you just like a number. This was a huge deal for my son, thanks for the less-than thrilling day. read more

Terrible and I mean terrible customer service. To start, I am a returning customer who got a not so good deal the first go around. My first motorcycle purchase was a Yamaha r3 in which I paid $6900 for after all their fees... Then 2 months later I couldn't even get $3100 for a trade to get a better bike. (Terrible) Today, I was interested in a used 2012 Kawasaki ninja 1000 with a sticker price of $7000. Great price in my book! I offered 7000 out the door the finance manager was extremely rude and went off on me saying and I quote (if I knew you had a budget of $7000 I would have never let you test ride that bike that's pretty messed up of you) he told me I was a bad person for that. I'm the same person who lost $3900 on my first bike purchased from them, but I'm a bad person for wasting maybe 45 cent of gas on my test ride. I urge you to find a better place to purchase your pleasure vehicles. S/n I take the blame for my first purchase. Lack of knowledge is nobodies fault but mine. My husband and I were in the area so we stopped by to look at dirtbike helmets for our kids, walked in and instead of being greeted just got stares from a distance. We walked over to the helmet area to check out what they had, looked around for awhile but no one came out to help us. This was my first visit to Capital Powersports. I must say I'm quite impressed. Before my visit I stopped at Garcia Moto down the road. I spent 10 solid minutes walking around looking at the bikes. I'm a legit, serious shopper. Mid 40s, clean cut, professional type. Rode up on a nice motorcycle. Not ONE person spoke to me. Not a one ! I was actually wanting to look at a used Ducati they had. Instead, I walked out . They won't get my business. I rode up the street to Capital Powersports. What a difference ! I walked in to Capital Powersports and not just one, but FOUR different people took time to say hello and greet me. This is why people come back. The personal service. I met Bill (assistant mgr) while there and he was extremely helpful and willing to listen to my needs without high pressure sales. It was a very gratifying experience ! And while they did not have the particular color of the model bike i'm looking for, Bill is more than willing to work with me. Whether I buy from them ultimately or not, I highly recommend the place. If you are looking for a place to buy a four wheeler do not come here! I went in to get a simple fix on my four wheeler. It took three weeks to get my four wheeler back. Then when I went to pick it up I had my check engine light on, and I was told it was fine to take home, had to talk to a manger to get it looked at again, I was dealing with Bucky he was super rude, and talking to me like I did not know what was going on. After being there for an hour they took my four wheeler apart again and ask me to leave it there tonight and come back another day to get it, after I already told them I needed it today, (after they have had it for three weeks!) Then Bucky got into my face being nasty, then asked me to go outside with my four wheeler inside the garage and SHUT THE GARAGE DOOR ON MY HEAD!!!!!!!!! Then would not put my four wheeler back together when I said I will take it somewhere else because I will not be treated like this where I am spending a ton of money. They are knowledgeable about the the bikes, TPS in Garner and other places I've went to couldn't tell me anything about the bikes I was looking at, one thing I did notice about Captial Honda is that you need make sure you check if maintenance done their job, look at the coolant in the expansion tank for sediment at the bottom probably needs to be flushed, make sure all fuses are in, didn't know I was missing a metal clamp that holds a fuse in till months later, they wouldn't check it out for free because no warranty on used bikes, check tire treads, chain and sprokets, look for missing fasteners, check all lights read more
