Zach met with me and spoke by phone several times to review some specific concerns prior to installation to accommodate future plans for the yard. The office staff was accessible and responsive regarding scheduling. The work was completed in a day. Despite the warm weather, the high quality grass seed they use where the lines were installed is growing back well already and the system has worked well as designed. Zach has been responsive to several follow up calls I have had regarding operation of the system and I am learning how to work the watering schedule in the phone app which is extremely convenient. They ruptured a…read moregas line using a regular shovel, they ripped up the internet cable causing the whole neighbor to be with out internet for 2 weeks. They were told not to install any heads in the right of way. They did and then they removed it. The overall sales person (RICK HARRISON) who I directly designed my system with, did not communicate to the installation team the type of sprinklers I wanted and where to install the back flow valve. They also had to install a pressure pump, due to low pressure for $1400.00. I specifically told Rick where it needed to be in relation to the electric outlet . I had the outlet installed exactly where Rick said it had to be. I then spent $200.00 to have an electrical outlet installed. When I checked their work after they left. I found an orange extension cord lying on the ground, in a pool of water ,connected to my $200.00 outlet, they installed the pump to far away from the outlet. I again had to pay another $200.00 to move the outlet so the pump can connect directly to the outlet. Then the pump cracked and stop working, the back check valve cracked and had to be replaced. this is after I had them winterize my system. It has been nightmare of a project. Everytime they came out, something was wrong. I finally had to ban them from my property. it is now several years later and the system is worse than ever. I have spent a lot of money in repairs. I basically will have rebuilt the system by the end of this year. Do not use this company. Beware of Rick because he is smooth but does not follow through.Get everything in writing, get a design of your sprinkler System before they install (they want a $150.00 to do so)

Given the very high value of the project, I knew I wanted to find a company that would pay attention to my needs, not be pushy and be very helpful in every step of the process. Our turf has started sinking in many places, has ruined our fence, and we can't get the company to fix it. I have seen many comments about how he talks poorly to people and I couldn't agree more. We contacted him to fix our turf that was within our warranty. He just simply won't return any calls or messages. He has sent mean text messages to my wife and I, completely unprofessional, and down right rude. If you try to reach him multiple times he will tell you that you're harassing him. When literally all we have done is try to see when he can come fix our turf and he is trying to get out fixing it for us. He then followed up by texting me 12 times and saying horrible things to me that were actually harassment. We paid for extended warranty for two years and we're just trying to have somebody come out here to look at what was happening. If it was covered under warranty or not, we were happy to pay, but he would not even come out here. We had Goat Turf come and fix it and had to repay for the whole entire thing. I am so happy with that company and they let us know that it was the worst job they've ever seen done. They said that smarter scapes had installed the Turf backwards in some areas, used the wrong rocks, had it secured it in the ground properly, hadn't done the borders properly, and about five other things were wrong. I know a lot of people have already reached out to me with issues they've had with this company so feel free to reach out to me if you were having issues with the owners as well. We asked 3 different companies for quotes to do some foundation work and encapsulate the…read morecrawlspace, and got wildly different prices for both jobs. I definitely recommend getting multiple quotes and asking as many questions as you can about what is what is not included, no matter what. While we went with a different company for the foundation work, DocAir gave a great quote and scope of work for the encapsulation. In the end, we didn't do their recommended "storm water management", as we had only minor water intrusion from the outside, but a lot of water coming from condensation on the air vents from the incredibly high humidity in the crawlspace (over 90% humidity constantly during the summer), which was also soaking and warping the wood support beams and floor joists and getting behind the insulation. We did: 1) fungus remediation, which included the tedious and hard work of removing a huge amount of dirty and wet insulation under the floorboards, 2) trenching the edges of the crawlspace and installing drain pipes and a sump pump, and 3) encapsulation with dehumidifier (drains into the sump pump), which also included sealing points of entry like pipes and external vents. Note that the other quotes were more expensive and did not even include removing insulation or treating fungus (companies often expect you to hire someone else to do that before they start work). To set expectations, they are quite busy so be patient. It took about a month to get scheduled and another month for them to come out and do the work. A two-man team (Joselino and Orlando) did all the work over 3 days, and they were professional, polite, thorough, and did incredibly high quality work. I had the plumbing inspected before they came to ensure no pipes would leak into the encapsulated space, but they still found a leaky coupling and replaced it! DocAir supplies a remote temperature and humidity meter as well so you can continually compare the house to the crawlspace (you can check the outside weather report for another comparison). It's winter now, but we've recently had a few very rainy days with humidity reaching up to 94% outside. The crawlspace humidity has steadily decreased from 55% immediately after installation to 45% (very good!), and the house/crawlspace temperatures have been within about 5 degrees of each other. This suggests that the crawlspace is effectively insulated from outside temperature and humidity. Also, you can optionally have them come inspect the system every 6 months (for $60 a visit) to ensure everything is still working correctly, change the dehumidifier filter, etc. I plan to do this to make sure everything is still working well with the combined effects of humidity and my AC vents!
