He spent over an hour helping me with proper fitting, explaining the different reasons and gear options that could cause it, and made sure to give me solutions that were right for me. Safe to say he probably changed my whole snowboarding experience after our encounter. The store had a nice selection of everything snowboard related, great vibes and amazing customer service!! If you ever need help, ask for Julio. He's been on those slopes for decades, an absolute beast!

The box was so aggressively over-taped that it ripped apart while opening, and the boots literally fell out. One boot was clearly a display model, visibly dirty, scuffed, and worn, showing obvious signs of being in and out of bindings and tried on countless times. After some digging, it appears this display boot dates back to around 2012, which makes this even more unacceptable. It still had an ink security tag attached, suggesting little to no quality control. When contacting customer service, the interaction was calm but completely unhelpful -the representative was disengaged and dismissive, offering no real solution. We were also told we'd have to send the boots back and wait for them to receive the return before any refund, which meant we couldn't afford to buy replacement boots in the meantime. Charging $140 for mismatched, outdated display boots and backing it up with poor customer support is misleading and unacceptable. This was meant to be a Christmas gift, and instead it turned into frustration and extra stress. I would not recommend this shop. Edit to add: The business responded stating I asked for an "80% discount with free shipping." What I actually asked was whether they would reasonably work with me on price after sending boots that were clearly used, damaged, and later identified as old display boots--without that being disclosed beforehand. A $40 discount on a $140 charge did not reflect the condition or age of the product. I'm adding this clarification so buyers have full context.

We called and thought it was an awesome idea for a Xmas present! So we looked at it online and went in to talk to Jared. Not knowing just how much goes into personal preference and my son just being a novice in how to set up boards, Jared walked my son through step by step even seeing him ride a board to help him with the customization of the board to suite his needs! As you can see, the board turned out amazing and I don't know that you can beat the price or the customer service for a 100% customized board designed for how you ride or want to ride! If it is something you think you might be interested in, I suggest you email them or go in to the shop! They will steer you through all the pitfalls so you can hit the board rolling in the best fashion! Thanks Jared and Drang for making my sons present such a bad A$$ on

I get that there is no public restroom, but not very sympathetic response when directed to cart my 3 year old to another store just to come back and ask for help (which I wasn't getting in the first place). Wanted help and to support brick and mortar, but didn't feel supported as a solo parent trying to buy sports gear for my son.

Finally some good customer service at a Big 5 Sporting Goods Store…read more I came in to find out if they had any hiking boots that would suit my needs, and weren't to expensive, but were of good quality. Angel asked right away if he could help me. I told him what I was looking for,. He was very patient with me. Since the store is set up that the sales associate has to go in the back to pull the shoes/boots from inventory. I put a lot of miles on Angel today. I think I tried on every possible hiking boot that they had available. The answer was always nope this one isn't going to work for some reason or another, mostly due to comfort. I was about to walk out again defeated when he said "Why don't you try these Bearpaws they look similar to the boots you have on." I said "Sure, let's give it a whirl." He came back empty handed saying they didn't have my size in stock. He quickly added that he could see if another store, in the valley, had my size, and he could have the boots transferred to that store. He called around, the store in West Valley had my size. He said I could drive all the way across town, or I could come back when they transferred. I opted to come back. I didn't want to drive across town, in traffic, to try on a pair of boots that I wasn't sure would fit me or not. He said it would take around 10 days. Just to come across town...ummm ok. I wasn't in a rush so it was ok I would have to have to wait. Angel was so helpful in this seamless process. I was also able to find a new hiking pack similar to the one I've used for years. It was a disappointment that they didn't carry the same style, but that isn't Angels fault, and the pack was similar enough that I'm sure I will enjoy it just as much. Fast forward a few days later my boots were in to pick up. That's faster than the 10 days I was told. I told them I would be by on the weekend to pick them up, well actually to try them on to see if I liked them. The next day someone else called to tell me my boots were in, I told them I had already spoken to someone, and I would be by this weekend. So the weekend came, and again I went hiking in my old boots. I stopped by to check out these Bearpaw boots. What a difference a week makes when it comes to customer service. I had to ask for help. I asked if Angel was there, and they said he had the day off. I told them what I was there for, and the two sales associates at the counter looked at each other like "what is she talking about". Someone found the boots, and handed them to me...and I was left on my own. After trying them on, I decided to buy them, and try them out. They were similar to the ones I already own, and hoped for the best. The cashier surely wasn't friendly when she rang up my purchase, which is the case with most Big 5's. Big 5's are a lower end discounted sporting goods store with a self serve vibe. When you shop here you know what you're getting or you should.
