Squeezed me in last week so I could get my emissions done because I procrastinated (they do them any time which is super nice, not all places do) and they were really kind about it. I have been bringing my cars to Performance for more than 20 years and have always felt like I received excellent and honest service. Recently I brought a car in with an engine that was determined to be in need of replacement. Dave did some checking and found that there might be an extended warranty on the engine. I had not thought to take it back to the dealer because with 162,000 miles I figured there was no warranty. I took Dave's advice and took it back to the dealer and two weeks later I drove the care home with a remanufactured engine. Techs who have no idea what they are doing. While mounting my rims and tires they damaged a set of 2k rims that were brand new and in mint condition. At first the owner lied to me and said the damage was there before they were mounted, then she her story changed after she found out her techs called me first (because they are actually honest people) to tell me of the damage that wasn't there prior to mounting. So being the cheap, lying typical small town scammer of a shop owner she shifted the blame to the manufacturer and told me I needed to seek reimbursement through them since she knew for certain they were damaged before her shop got a hold them. I inspected the rims before dropping them off and they were perfect. They came from Fuel who assured me a wheel never leaves the warehouse with blemishes. She never offered any type of compensation or help with the cost of repairing them and left me with damaged rims absolving herself of any liability. Stay away from this shop. read more

Went in for a 4 wheel alignment on my lowered 2007 Audi S4 and they adjusted the rear a little bit said they couldn't get it into spec and then they aligned the front where the wheel is cocked to the left quite a bit and th car pulls to the right. It's worse than when I brought it in so now I'm out $91 and I still have to take it somewhere else to get it aligned this place is a joke. read more

I just purchased tires from Performance Auto and Tire. I had a slash in one of my tires and they ordered tires for me and got me in the same day that I called. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had been going to my auto dealer for tires and oil changes but now I am switching. The dealer wanted to charge me $1300.00 and Performance charged me $500.00 for the same tires. I let a friend use my car and she told me the front brakes had been making noise for a couple of weeks, and although I usually do my own brakes, I was out of town so she took it in to this place to get the brakes done. First off the bill for the front brakes was $400 that was for new pads ad rotors (obviously the ones needed changing cuz she drove too long with worn pads and wore groves into the rotors) After the brakes were done i had to wash the rims 3 times as they were completely covered in brake dust. Ive only had to do this once in my life before and it was when i was younger and my brakes were out but i was broke so I put the cheapest pads i could buy on rotors that needed to be changed. The guy at the shop told me it was normal for the first 10k miles. The guy across the street at advanced auto (who i was told this shop gets their parts from, dont know if thats true) said hes never heard of that. I mean the rims were covered completely in brake dust immediately after washing them each time. Then I looked at the front rotors that were changed and they had groves in them (explains the brake dust) which to me makes me think they were never changed. Now when i took it in, he said the rear brakes needed to be done, which is true, and gave me a quote of $230. So why was the front brake job done for $400? He said it was cuz the front rotors were more. $170 more? Really? Cuz i just bought all new parts for all the brakes all the way around getting the best ceramic pads and rotors from advanced auto (with $30 mail in rebate) For $240 The brake rotors were $47 each for the front and $45 each for the back. Something isnt right about this. My friend thinks they realized she knew nothing about cars and took advantage of that, i don know, but maybe. The front rotors seem to me like they were never changed, I could be wrong, but it would explain the amounts of dust on the rims. I would beware of this place. Despite my suspicions, nothing explains the price issues. read more
