I have a 2009 town & country displaying transmission irregularities, and the engine running rough. I am 83 and travel locally to the store and family members. I asked Mark to install 3 plugs on the back side of the engine, the hard ones to replace. He advised that would require and hour of service $138. I agreed and signed the agreement. I ended up with a bill including $126.00 diagnostic test. I was told, a new or rebuilt transmission would be appropriate. Do you think they checked the transmission fluid? No but they charged me $126.00 to read the code. I understand car Dealer Service Centers earn $1,000,0000 per year. I think Mark is right up there, ripping off people like me. If you are an honest operator, is there any hope for people driving older cars ?? Try checking the Transmission fluid level, it is not impossible even though it is a sealed system, it has a cap clearly visible and accessible. Gary K. read more

I was looking for a good reputable repair shop to get a few repairs done on my 04 Chevy Silverado. It wasn't running as smoothly as it could, misfiring, check eng light on. Let me tell you Kevin & his son Colby are awesome. They diagnosed it & it was running smoothly & the power was back! The repair cost I thought was very fair too. I was also impressed by what these guys work on, from the looks of the vehicles there being serviced they tackle anything, from small to big to jobs that a lot of mechanics should shy away from. My wife and I drove from the Madison area to Burlington to look at a used truck at a local dealership. As it was a fairly expensive vehicle, and we didn't want to buy something with problems, and we wanted to have it inspected by an independent 3rd party, before we plunked down our hard-earned money. We did some searches on the internet for local auto shops and found B Town Auto Service. I called, talked to Mark (the owner), explained my situation, and set up an appointment for us to bring it in for a bumper-to-bumper inspection. We brought the truck in for the appointment, and they were able to get the inspection done in less time than estimated. Mark took the time to go over the inspection, pointed out any and all issues the truck had, and gave us his opinion on whether to buy the vehicle or walk away. Mark is a great guy and he really seems to care about the work his and his techs do. He was great to talk with and, as I noted above, he really takes time to explain problems, what the repair will involve, and how much you can expect to pay for the repair. If I ever have to have a vehicle worked on in the Burlington area, I would definitely bring it to Mark, and highly recommend B Towne Auto Service....!!!! read more

Great service! Of course my vehicle ran perfectly when it was there after running diagnostics. Since he couldn't find what was wrong, other than pulling up a recall, he only charged me 1/2 the cost of test. Sure enough, I picked up the part and dealership and been running great since. Just came back from using Mikes Auto for the first time. Very impressed. They were ready for me, only had an hour wait to repair A.C. plus I asked if they could fit in an oil change. Steve checked me in, then came back to fill me in on what they found and price. Very, very fair, and they did fit the oil change in, which saves me time. So glad I found them. I have only used Mike's for the first time and just finished having work done by Mike's and had a great experience. I brought my late model vehicle in with a tricky problem that needed some advanced troubleshooting. Mike's staff worked the problem and used several replacement parts to what they thought was a complete solution and returned the car to me. I took the car home and It was soon apparent that the problem was not fixed. I called them back and they told me to bring the car back to them ASAP as soon as I could. They re-worked the problem and came up with a complete fix that required some advanced solutions and several extra hours of labor. When I picked the car up, I was told that the extra work would be at no extra charge; A very pleasant surprise. This fix was complete, restoring my car to it's proper functioning. Mike's facility is clean and orderly and his service manager, Steve, does a great job. Mike the owner is a master technician and a fabulous owner. Wholeheartedly recommend Mike's! read more

I moved to Burlington 12/2016 and needed a place to service my vehicles. B Towne came highly recommended from a couple people. They were servicing my 2006 Honda odyssey for almost 3 years. the trouble started in early 2020, the transmission started slipping. I called to have a trans service done and Mike was out of town and Steve told me to come in that Friday before 4:30 pm. Due to the fact that Mike was the only one qualified to determine if they would do a trans service. I held the appointment and met with Mike. Mike gave the ok to go ahead. Dropped van off for appointment. I had to call after waiting all day with no response. Short story: gave me a bill for $58 to tell me trans had no leak, motor has an oil leak, power steering has leak, 2 tires need replaced, and trans fluid was low, ( topped off fluid) and was not worth doing a service (keep in mind they've been servicing this van since 2017). Its now 9/2020 and transmission has not had an issue since it has been topped off. However after having my van relooked at (elsewhere) list of problems is extensive. B Towne auto should've found all these issues while servicing my van, I have also had my truck relooked at and found a list of items also should've been found with servicing vehicles. The saddest part is they are very nice folks but unfortunately that doesn't protect your very expensive investment! read more
