I have the GMC extended warranty. The truck is 2 months out of the original powertrain warranty. They want to charge me $35 for a brake inspection and $650 to replace the front brakes. 80 grand for a truck and this is the customer service you will get. How about I pay for the parts and Lynch cover the labor. I would see that as a good meet in the middle. I will never buy another vehicle from Lynch. read more

My wife has brought our SUV in twice for tires and both times was told my Lynch mechanics that her brakes were in dangerous condition (first rear, then front on the second occasion) and needed to be replaced (pads and rotors) ASAP. Both times we took the vehicle to another local mechanic who told us the brakes had 10,000 miles or more life left and recommended against immediate replacement. These other mechanics passed up easy money since we brought in the car expecting to have the brakes replaced. Once might have been a fluke. Not twice. Lynch, you are lucky I am not motivated enough to report you to the BBB. EDIT: My wife informed me today that the pads were *measured* by the other mechanic. This is completely objective. There's really no conceivable way it could be a difference of opinion or something subjective. And, remember, this is the second time this has happened. (Why did she go back after the first time? She'd forgotten about it. I had not but didn't realize she was going there until afterwards.) Here is a pic of the brake pads Lynch said were too dangerous to drive with. In the past 12 or so years we have leased 3 vehicles and bought 2 vehicles from Lynch. We recently went to trade in our 2016 Traverse (97,000 miles) that we bought from them 5 years ago for about $35k. We were offered $1,500 for the vehicle. My sister received $3500 for her 2010 minivan from a different Chevy dealer. We expressed our frustration with the GM Jim Olsson who indicated based on the notes in the file that is the appropriate assessment of the vehicle due to paint damage and exhaust system repairs that would be needed. He didn't ask anything about what vehicle we were looking to purchase or how he could help in any other way. He just stopped responding to my emails. We went to Frank Boucher and it was a completely different experience. You could tell they cared about their customers and wanted to go above and beyond. They didn't have the exact vehicle we wanted so offered to throw in leather seats for free. We didn't find exactly what we wanted so they took down our contact information and are in contact to let us know when the perfect vehicle arrives. Lynch could care less about loyal customer. Save yourself the trouble, time and hassle and go to a different Chevy dealer. read more

Very disappointed with my experience here for three reasons: 1. Sold with defect: Lynch sold me a used car (2010 model with only 50k mi) with a leaking tire pressure valve and refused to fix it. I noticed low tire pressure a few days after purchasing the car (with a warranty). Low-pressure sensor went off every 7-10 days after filling, so I took it to a mechanic and had problem diagnosed. Total cost: $125. First, I called Lynch's repair shop. After explaining the situation and that I had purchased a warranty, was treated in an extremely rude manner. The woman kept emphasizing how long the process would take IF the repair was even approved by the warranty company, and curtly told me to call my salesman. Next, I call my hapless salesman, whose response is to tell me that he is off duty that day and his boss is not in, so there is nothing he can do to help. I spend the majority of the time with him telling me the repair shouldn't cost $100+ (I saw the replacement part cost, it does cost that much). I never received a follow-up when his boss finally did show up. Either sales doesn't care or they have no authority to help a customer, but either way it is difficult to polish the turd that is Lynch's customer service. I am now wasting $125+ and 2 hours of my Sat getting a pre-existing issue fixed on a used car purchased from Lynch. 2. Sketchy pricing on warranty: for the life of me, I could not get the finance person to price the warranty without dividing the cost over the months of my loan, which with interest really obscures the actual price. Silly me, I forgot my financial calculator at home, so had to do the math in my head to attempt not to get ripped off. I had to pull teeth in order to figure out that I could flex features of the warranty (e.g., the deductible) so it wasn't a rip-off. Loan rate was above market. Whole process felt very sketchy and non-transparent. 3. Sloppy execution: Drove car off the lot with less than a quarter tank of gas, and ALL tires were low in pressure. This is after it took 2+ hours to get all the paperwork done, i.e., they had time to take care of these details. Every other car I have purchased has come off the lot with a full tank, tires the correct pressure, etc. I didn't check the oil or washer fluid yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if they cut corners there too. Beware if buying a used car from Lynch. Luckily these are all minor infractions in the grand scheme of things, but I got the sense I would have had the same treatment with a $1000+ repair as well. Went in for my appointment- rep wanted to chArge me $100 for brake check - said he does not know anything about Internet specials. We agreed. When we returned to get the car- estimate was not ready at the desk. They sent us to look for the staff to get the quote. We interrupted her from social discussion with other staff. I bought 3 GM vehicles from this dealer in the past 5 years, there won't be a forth. 2/18/2016 Odometer Reading 49,620 This was the first time I took the vehicle in for the SES light on and was told that the P0521 Code: was a faulty Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch that was not covered and was charged $460.00 to replace. 9/15/2016 Odometer Reading 57,909 This was the second time I took the vehicle in for the SES P0521 Code they said they replaced the sensor, which was replaced on 2/18/2016 1/9/2017 Odometer Reading 61,575 This was the third time I took the vehicle in for the SES P0521 Code 10/1/2017 Powertrain Limited Warranty Expired 2/15/2018 Odometer Reading 73760 Engine Replaced because of low oil pressure After being charged $460.00 for a Oil Pressure Switch 2yrs ago that obviously wasn't bad, (2) more trips back to the dealer for the same problem and 4 months after the warranty is up I was charged 4,362.50 to replace the engine that should have been replaced under warranty. I was told that because I was such a good costumer that GM would help cover the cost of the replacement 60/40 4,500.00/3,700.00. I needed the vehicle so I reluctantly had them do it. Engine & Transmission Exchange in New Berlin quoted the exact same engine with the same GM warranty for 4,300.00. I also found out from a mechanic well versed in GM motors that starting 2010 there has been a problem with the screens for the oil passages on these engines plugging up usually caused by low grade (cheap) oil. GM stopped using these engines in 2015, all my oil changes on this vehicle were done by lynch's service department read more

If i could give negative stars, i would. I had a horrible experience with Lynch. Went in to buy a car last week Tuesday during the push pull tow sale. For starters, that sale is a scam. Only reason why I was there is because my car at the time did not run and I wanted it gone. So I found a used car for me. The price was 11,800. Myself, my parents and the car sales man (Joe Pierce I believe) all sat down and ran some numbers. They came back with an interest rate and car payment that was insane. I understood due to my credit and my husband's credit so I found something cheaper that same day. He ran more numbers and it was more reasonable. We planned it outI that I would tow my car to lynch the next day (Wednesday) and sign paperwork. So we put down money on the car to hold it. Well three days go by and still nothing. I went into lynch with my husband and my parents multiple times to do the deal and they kept sending us home because they were too busy. Who does that when your trying to sell a car?! So finally on Friday, after multiple attempts to buy the car, we said forget it and we will come back for the check. Our response from Joe the sales man was "Okay come on in!" So we get there to get the check and the manager I believe, Jerry, comes out with paperwork for us to sign on a 2017 Chevy Malibu or a 2017 Chevy Cruz. I was blind sided. Joe never told me anything about a brand new car! I told Jerry, no I want my check I'm done. Well turns out, Lynch cashed the check! And it takes 4-8 days to get us our money back! The next day after i cooled off I went back in to ask about the deal with the 2017 Malibu or Cruz. Two hours later on Saturday morning, Jerry comes back with "I'll call you next week." So My husband and I went to Ford of Lake Geneva and rode home in a 2017 ford fiesta in under 2 hours. I would never recommend Lynch. The used car sales man Joe had such poor communication it was ridiculous. I wad not kept in the loop with anything. I felt that my sale was not important to him. After speaking with Jeff, the Used Car Manager he set us up with Sawyer Tisch as our Product Specialist. You'll notice I didn't say "Salesman"...that's because this is the title he has and at no point during the process did it feel like we were working with a salesman. There was never a high pressure pitch to spend more money or any push to make an immediate purchase decision. Buying a vehicle during the Covid 19 pandemic wasn't on my "to do list" We found ourselves in a "have to situation After looking for a reasonably priced truck and were about to give up we found a nice almost new dodge 2020 ram we wanted to look at here. We called the next day and I was texted the car fact info on the vehicle( never had that happen before and a chance - in advance of visit to be pre-qualified for credit). We looked at it that night( no pushiness or pressure -again a first in car buying for us) price was good and offered a good trade value and were able to to bring ours in next day and drive new one home with very little paper work time.( This has always been a long and drawn out or deal at past dealerships and one I was really dreading-very impressed how quick this went and at low interest rates we got. Their listing are all at the very top of the NADA list prices , and way (WAY!) above the KBB list prices. It seems like they are relying on customers not doing any serious research. The vehicle that I was looking at had been washed, but the detailing was half-assed (the carpet under and between the seats was still covered in dirt, salt and gunk, the spare tire compartment was a mess) and they hadn't even recharged the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF)...BUT still, with a vehicle in that condition, they wanted the top very of the NADA price range for the vehicle. Seriously, It's like $10 worth of DEF, and not filling it is just plan lazy. It's either arrogance or they plan on customers not being informed. The car was cleaned where the average person is going to look, but if you are serious about car care, you would see that they skipped stuff. The sales staff (that I worked with) was a little lazy. Again, my guess is that the dealership is use to working with folks who haven't done any research. After I left I checked out the rest of their listings....The almost every one of the cars on their lot are premium priced and I really wasn't seeing that many "excellent" condition cars while I was there. Your team did nothing to find the cause of my issue only handed me a bag of items I left in the vehicle and said the proble was solved. Funny thing is my onstar only showed 1 additional mile was put on the car 'quite a test drive'! I have since taken my truck into my local dealer where my concerns where taken seriously and problem solved. They replace both front struts and inspected the front defroster grill and installed anti squeak tape GOOD JOB LYNCH!!! Additional note when I called to make the second appointment to fix this issue with your 'service' department one of their concerns was the mileage on the car. I told them I was close to the 36000 warranty and some how couldn't get a appointment for 4 days ..upon reflection I quess I should be cynical after all you must be so desired with the great service you offer! read more

Took my new 2016 GMC truck to Lynch for repair. My previous review I must admit was not very good. I wanted to update my review because I called the body shop today because I wanted to return to have the windshield washer checked out because it did not work. I called the body shop and they asked me if I could return and they would look at it right away. I was impressed that I pulled up, they checked it out and fixed it and I was back on the road in my truck right away. I will add that the body shop manager and Dan are great. I am just never overly impressed with my dealings here. The staff is cold and not very helpful. Their lead times are always off. This last time I was told that I had a recall on my Silverado, and it would take 4-5 hours to complete my tire rotation, oil change, and recall. I made special plans to accommodate for this, then when I dropped my truck off they said it would be done in 45mins. Also their records are terrible, luckily i keep my records up to date. The service tech insisted that i needed 2 additional services that i just had done 6,000 miles earlier. It wasn't until i showed him the paperwork from his own service group that he believed me.
