I tried both which they were lukewarm (not surprised as this was evening time when I was in there), but the tea was tasty. Then I went in browsing the store myself. There were sections with Christmas related merchandise and just other merchandise. I naturally gravitated towards the stationary/book section-- lots of offerings there. The food/drink sections were huge. Lots of items to explore including international items as well. I thought that was very neat. I briefly looked at the jewelry/aromatherapy section. I found a few pieces of jewelry I'd wear, super cute! Lastly, I headed over to the kitchen section. Found some really cool plates and other kitchen items. I do have to say I was a little disappointed that I passed 3 employees during my visit and not one even acknowledged me. I thought that was very strange and unacceptable. You should say hello to customers when they visit the store. Customer service skills are a large part of customer satisfaction and help decide if the customer will be returning or not. Overall, my first time here was enjoyable and glad I stopped in to check it out. I' think if/when I'm in the area I'll stop back in to see what new goodies they have that time around. Flying Pig Thrift is staffed primarily by volunteers and everyone is beyond kind. Community resources are available onsite via a bulletin board and the shop supports 3 main non-profit groups. Within the dressing area room, there was a flyer supporting mental health resources and I smiled when I saw it. There are a wide variety of items that shift seasonally and frequently. Items are fairly priced and there are often sales, half price item days and even a permanent sale section in the back. I was really excited to score a denim button up with funky colorful bird designs, a cute yellow bee kind sweatshirt along with a black Nike top. Hobby Lobby is pretty meh as a business overall but that's not important for this review. I've…read morestopped in when I need something that I can't find at any other craft store and need sooner than Amazon will ship. The parking lot is big and it's easy to get in and out. Once inside it's just like every other Hobby Lobby, all of your crafting needs and prices are easy to find/understand. I feel like this store used to have better clearance and sales but lately there's nothing great going on in that department. Check out is where it gets a little rough for me. There are never enough workers. We are always waiting in line for 15 minutes and it really slows down the entire trip. I tend to go on my lunch breaks but I have had to stop because I'm not convinced I'll be out in time. If you need something you'll probably find it here, but make sure you have enough time to not only find it but to check out.
