    Quesadilla

This Mexican restaurant was next to our hotel.. my wife ordered the chicken quesadilla and I ordered a beef chimichanga. We also ordered the cheese dip. Everything we had was very good. We were waited on promptly and the Food came quickly. It was reasonably priced.

Eh not the best food actually only 2 of our party of 5 liked their food. Was out first time so we know. Not that the food was bad but it's not the kinda Mexican food we are used to. 2 stars for the strong AF rainbow margaritas. You should stop and determine if you like the flavor. Great service

Let me preface this by saying that I…read morewent in fully knowing it would not be authentic and was actually looking forward to trying something different and new. However, the food fell incredibly flat. The taco styles err on the side of traditional offerings, but did not taste anything like I would imagine them to taste. The carne asada was bland and the chicken wings were Smokey, but lacked salt so difficult to taste. The rice and beans were the best thing on the table. The chimmichurri was the most disappointing by far, tasting almost like it had mayo in it. The other thing that was odd to me is that apart from their house made hot sauce (which is more like a veg blend) they did not offer any house made salsa verdes/picantes or topping for the tacos. For $12-$15, a plate with two tacos is steep, considering there are no sides of accompaniments. I will however say that the food was incredibly fresh and of good quality. The tortillas were excellent, however fell apart due to the moisture and weight of the toppings. Maybe doubling them would improve the product. Service was also excellent. Good came out quickly and the cashier and cooks were amazing at answering our questions and offering suggestions. The place was nearly full, so that says something about their following. I really miss the previous Venezuelan restaurant that was here before. Their food was top notch!

A great casual, local Louisiana-Mex spot! The looks are deceiving being in a strip mall, but the…read moreinside had a good amount of space. You order at the counter and there are employees serving tables. Now for the food! The queso was underwhelming unfortunately due to a lack of flavor and uniqueness. The bang bang shrimp taco was really good! It had loads of flavor. The birria taco was good. The meat was juicy and good quality, however it was lacking in flavor. Overall, the tacos were good, but on the pricier side being that it only includes two tacos and no sides. I'd come back to try the other tacos!

If you go in here with the thought that this isn't Mexican or any other type of Latin meal then you…read moremight be okay. Now I wasn't expecting it to be true authentic Mexican food but something at least along the lines of it. I couldn't even pull myself to eat it. I couldn't tell the difference between the enchilada and "burrito"! The red sauce wasn't a true red sauce either. Now growing up in the Los Angeles area, traveling to Mexico and other Latin countries, I was looking forward to the food. My 8 years did say the steak in the steak burrito was good but it's just steak. The rice it came with was cold and dried out. My 3 year old got the chicken strips which I had to send back. It was super dark, hard and black on the side. The waitress tried to tell me all of them are like that when I asked for a new plate, not burnt. Service is lacking also. We sat down and our drink order was taken right away, she literally came back in a min or two with the drinks and asked to take our order. I told her I needed a few mins and she did not come back until 15 mins later!!!! Wouldn't even look my way when I tried to flag her down. Also, I asked for no sour cream or guacamole on my son's dish. Of course she brings it out with the items on it after I told her to please don't forget because he won't eat the food with it on there. Well she forgot to bring it out with the food so by the time I was able to ask for it and she brought it, he was done eating. Bring cash.. they charge 3.5% if you use a credit card. Needless to say we will not be returning and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

We tried it tonight and we thought it was pretty good! Our server brought chips and salsa right away. We needed a few minutes to look over the menu which had many options. I had the shrimp quesadilla and my husband had the taco salad. No complaints except my husband would have liked a drink refill (he could have asked) but we were almost finished with our meal and he survived. Good food and reasonably priced. Wiggins is fortunate to have three Mexican restaurants and I would confidently say Mi Pueblo deserves to move up in the YELP ratings. I would ignore the other two negative reviews.
