Sea Level is a great concept. Casual food right by the water. Simple menu and nice for families. The service was extremely friendly, food was decent, but the picnic tables were absolutely filthy. A good scrub with soap and water would be all it takes! Stopped by after a busy day when my hosts didn't feel like cooking. We took in the splendor of the setting sun as our food was prepared. Only limited seating here, but plenty of parking and things to do at this shore (volleyball, giant Connect 4, etc). Inland seafood doesn't come close to this! When the locals tell you to try a place, Then that's the place you go to try. My friends said go to Sea Level and you'll get the best hot dog you ever had. Well then, that's where I headed. I was looking for a restaurant but when I saw a food stand parked with a beautiful gulf water view I was just as excited. It was a cold day, so we quickly made our orders, and the sweet girls ran it out to us at one of their many picnic tables.They were in shorts and freezing..lol. We tried the hot dogs and hamburger with cheese fries. Everyone was very pleased and due to weather happy it was a eat fast food. They have won a lot of local awards and we see why. You can play with the kids at the beach and walk a few steps for lunch or snowballs. Highly recommend this place. Luckily the King in our royal family loves this food. I also think that it is delicious but the service is terrible. Listen, I know being royal means I could possibly have high expectations, but that doesn't mean that you can look down at my crown. Every time I go there servants treat me as if I am less than others. They take my money and don't give me my food until almost an hour later. Although the food is good, one would never think we would be the last to be served when we were the first ones there. Mind you, we are a royal family of 4 who ordered simple things, while everyone else was more than accommodated for. And to those who may be wondering, no I did not come with an elitist attitude, I only came expecting to be in and out in less than 30 minutes before the sun went down on our picnic.. Sea Level has a world class view. I discovered Sea Level after it was recommended to me by my neighbor. He told me that the owner had retired after running a few restaurants, but got bored so he opened this place. It sounded like a place I'd enjoy so off we went. Sea Level is a walk-up snow ball stand type of place. That makes sense since it is a snow ball stand. Hold on a minute John. Don't you hate snow balls and despise everything they stand for? Affirmative dear reader; I most certainly do. Lucky for me, Sea Level also serves a pretty solid burger. So now that we have established that it's a snow ball stand too you can probably guess what my kids got. They had mixed reviews on their snow balls, so take that for what it's worth. I opted for a cheese burger with chili cheese fries which I took to-go. While not the best burger I have ever had, it was definitely solid. There is a dearth of decent burgers on the coast, so it was nice to get a hand formed patty grilled to my specified temperature. The bun was fresh as were the toppings. The fries were hand cut and were good, but I should've skipped the chili or ate on site. Chili doesn't travel well. If I had chose to dine on-site, there were several picnic tables covered by sail type coverings stretched above them for shade. That is where the great view comes in. Sea Level is on the side of the harbor so the beach and water here were pristine (by MS standards beach snobs). It made waiting for my food so much nicer than it could have been. It may have been 90 degrees, but the breeze coming from the Sound along with the view made it one of the most stress free experiences standing around waiting. I encourage you to try Sea Level if you find yourself in the area. read more

Absolutely amazing. Today was my first visit to Sea Level, we had Jamaican Jerk Chicken Tacos, Shrimp Tacos, and a Sea Level Burger with chili. Food was amazing and the staff is extra friendly. There will likely be a line so expect a short wait but once you order you can expect your food in about 10 minutes or less. Don't be fooled though. This isn't "fast food" this is great food fast. There is outdoor seating close to the little shack for dining but no inside seating. That shouldn't deter you though, stand and eat, lean on the fence, tailgate, it doesn't matter - nothing takes away from this incredible beach side food experience. Also, snoballs!! Fluffy little ice cold sugar bombs of greatness. Give it a try. You won't regret it. We drove 30 minutes to get a to go order and I will do it again and again. read more

I had heard how good this place was and finally got to try it! My husband had the recommended Hamburger with melted cheese and added chili and he was not disappointed! I had the grilled shrimp taco's (2) that we perfectly spicy and so delicious, being from Louisiana I love spice and these were perfect. Picked up two hamburgers and fries to go, and when I got home (5 min. drive) discovered that the burgers were naked and cold; the buns were stale and burnt, and the French fries were cold as well. We chose to try this small food stand rather than go to Shaggy's nearby. The reason was that the wait would be shorter. So wrong! The line to order was short. Yet we waited for an hour for our food. 30 minutes into our wait we were notified that they were out of several items that we ordered, so we had to go through the process of refunding our credit card, and substituting items. Several people before us got refunds and left. We stayed because my kids were eating their snowballs & playing in the sand, and we felt we were too far in to restart somewhere else. Also we had no idea that we would be waiting for an hour, the all teen staff kept reassuring us that it would be any minute (yeah 60 any-minutes)! When we finally received our food the portions were ridiculously small. There was virtually no fish on my fish taco. The burgers were smaller than a McDonalds kids cheeseburger, & the fries were soggy & cold, yet the prices were much too high for what we received! We felt ripped off & still hungry. The grumpy, overworked, & ill-equipped teen staff were not helpful when lodging a complaint. The snowballs were also scrimped on. My son had to go back twice to get syrup added because it was basically ice. We definitely say Pass big on this one in the Pass! read more

On our last night of vacation we wanted low key and inexpensive so decided to give this place a try. I normally go healthier but decided I wanted a cheeseburger. The burger was flavorful and not too greasy. Extra pickles is always a must for me. :) my daughter go the chicken nachos and said they were good.
