We ordered the Chicken PnB Taco, Steak Egg and Cheese Taco and Seasoned Fried Patatos. Everything was hot and delicious. The guys working the truck were helpful and friendly. I was able to order my food then go and get a Matcha. By the time I got back the food was done. We will be back for more in the future. read more

I recently had the pleasure of having an early lunch at Front Yard Tacos after my father saw it featured on 'Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives' and insisted I go check the place out. Situated right in downtown and across from a park, the taco truck- yes, it's a fabulous walk-up taco truck housing two chefs!- sits in front of Nova Coffee, surrounded by picturesque oak trees and historic townhomes. It wasn't too busy yet so I parked on the street and made my way to the window. There are menus on display boards but I asked the friendly young woman with the red hair to choose for me. While I waited, I meandered into Nova Coffee, a clean cut, modern looking shop and picked out an iced coffee with an ample side of friendly tips and advice from the owner for exploring Mobile. I found a table outside and was enjoying the sunshine- it was a beautiful, breezy day- when my order was brought over to the table. The chefs had chosen the 'B N' P Taco' which consisted of sweet potato, chipotle maple black beans, holy trinity, eggs, pickled onion, 'not ranch" sauce and the 'Tiki Taco' which had a tamari glaze, then flash flash fried brussels topped with pineapple ginger slaw, smothered mushrooms, onions, pickled jalapeño, miso aioli, and crema. They were both so delicious that I could have been completely satisfied with just one taco, but then completely dissatisfied if I hadn't devoured the other- so, long story short, I left my delicious lunch with nothing but the wrapping and tray they were delivered on! If you are out and about in downtown Mobile, I highly recommend lunch at Front Yard Tacos- you might leave fat, but at least you'll be happy . Cheers. read more

This is a food truck in front of a coffee house. Hours: Taco Tuesday 8 till 7. Wednesday-Sunday 8 till 2. I ordered the backyard burrito, but substituted the ground beef for steak, and added avocado. Unfortunately I got charged extra for the avocado but it was not in the burrito. I am still giving it 5 stars because of HOW GOOD IT IS!! Steak, tots, cheese topped with queso, crema, sun dried tomatoes, 'not ranch' tomato, green onion. Every bite was extremely delicious and it had plenty of steak! They didn't skimp out. Extremely satisfied! I will be coming back. If you haven't tried this place out I highly recommend it! They have plenty of seating outside and it is somewhat shaded. read more

Name--ok, they are a trailer fixture in the front yard of a coffee shop. Get past that. Get in the car. Go there. I ate the steak taco which was very tender with scrambled eggs and I wish I had a salsa to put on it because all their sauces were from bottle like crystal, Tabasco, which I don't like on my tacos. Chips came with the queso and they were awesome!. The mountain water was good but it was in a can and I didn't like that, it was my fault because I know they have cups I just didn't ask. Front Yard Tacos is a taco truck outside of Nova! We got our drinks from inside and they were pretty good, we liked that they were unique as well as the variety they had inside. Staff was super nice! The quesadilla and the taco were great, however, pretty pricey for the size. Especially considering you only get one taco for around $6. Overall super yummy, just wish it was more affordable. The staff, food, and coffee were great. The breakfast quesadilla, bacon egg and cheese +avocado, and steak egg and cheese tacos were all prepared nice and neat. Most taco places will just throw it together and it's a mess but this was not the experience here. You could tell they cared about their product. The coffee at Nova is the best in mobile and they also sell Liquid Death water which is another plus. If you're in mobile you should definitely give this space a try. One note, Nova does not sell pour overs on the wknd due to how busy they are so if you're a pour over person don't plan on it for the wknd. read more

I am delighted that I have found this cute and tasty food truck in Mobile. I was introduced to a couple other taco spots, but this one I have enjoyed the most. My avocado taco was flavorful and exactly what I needed with fresh red cabbage, grilled veggies and pickled red onions... OMG YUMMM! Then paired with an unexpected bestie the egg, tot and cheese taco was so good I couldn't put it down. I will definitely be back for more and look forward to trying more of what they have.
