All I can say is WOW! This is my new favorite spot in the area. So happy to have made a new vegan friend (the owner & chef). Their food is delicious! I had a chickpea salad sandwich and frozen key lime pie for dessert - all vegan. The menu offers a variety of options, both vegan and non-vegan. The owner came over to our table and chatted for a bit, which was lovely. The space is cozy and airy with a lot of natural light - great place to catch up on some reading. Had one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences I've had in my life. I had been to this coffee shop many times and although I had noticed that the staff wasn't always wearing masks in the kitchen/when helping guests outside, I always sat outside and kept my distance so I tried not to let that ruin my experience. However today I experienced something that was not only completely unsafe by covid standards, but would be consider a bizarre business practice outside of a pandemic. I had ordered a full meal to stay, and had been planning to eat it outside with a friend who I was meeting while listening to the live music (it's Easter and I'm away from home, so I had been looking forward to this for a while because it was all I had planned). I sat at a 3 person table outside while waiting for my friend to join me. As I was eating, a worker approached me with another restaurant guest and asked if I was having someone meet me. I said yes, but that she was running late. The worker then told the guest to sit at my table anyway but to "get up IF her friend comes" (even though social distancing would not be possible at this 3 person table). This was absolutely bizarre on so many levels. In all the times I had been there, I had never seen the staff arrange seating for guests. I have also never been to a restaurant where I was forced to share a table after sitting in it, especially when I explicitly said i was saving the seat for a friend. On top of all of that- we're in the middle of a PANDEMIC. The last thing anyone wants is to be forced to sit less than 3 feet away from a complete stranger. As much as I wanted to eat the rest of my food, I chose to prioritize not getting covid and started to gather my things to leave. The entire situation was already so awkward and anxiety inducing, but then as I attempted to just get up quietly (I had a paid for my food and given a tip already when I ordered) , the worker questioningly said "you don't have to leave, she'll get up if your friend comes?", in an almost mocking tone as if I was being irrational for being visibly uncomfortable, even though I was doing my best to be discreet because I didn't want to make the situation any more awkward for myself than it already was. I let the owner know what happened and she seemed surprised, but I think that after over a year there should have been enough time to figure out covid-safety training (and general customer service training) to prevent this kind of thing from happening. read more

I was so glad to see this spot opened again! Stopped by quickly last weekend for an iced coffee. I really just wanted to check out the new place and see what was on the menu. The quiches on display looked delicious and someone told me while I was waiting that the avocado toast was also very good. I chose a small egg white frittata with spinach and feta. It came w dressed greens on the side and was healthy and just what I was looking for. I can't wait to stop by for lunch. The gentleman who helped me also said that they will be open a few nights in the evenings serving beer, wine and I am sure some delicious food. read more

Cute location, great snacks and small plates, solid coffee. My only complaint is that I wish the business hours were better posted on social media/Google/just anywhere really. Every time I've come in on a specific day, it will say the shop is either open until 5 or 7 pm per listed opening hours, but then I'll arrive at either 2 pm or 4 only to find that that they're closing within the hour. I don't live close, and it's a bit of a hike for me to get to Tequesta. One day they shut down the store on us without telling us they were closing at 3 pm and left my friends and I sitting outside with our cups and plates. We had no idea if we should've just left them out there or knocked on the door to see if there was anyone to take them? Very odd. I wish there was better communication on that front. read more

Love the quaintness of this place. Great menu, fresh food and great atmosphere. The negative is it is way overpriced. $17 for a Farro salad with chicken. It was good, decent portion size but never worth $17. It takes forever to get the food but I'm ok because I am prepared when I get there. I want them to be successful so bad but the prices are def a let down. read more

I'll give it a four for people and ambiance, two for the coffee. I guess I will just drink coffee at home. I order Americano (espresso and hot water) because espresso is supposedly lower in acid. This was definitely high acid (like Starbucks and I won't go there). Pastries looked good. read more

This place was horrible! The wait for a simple latte takes absolutely forever. Every employee is extremely forgetful. The food is pretty okay but the prices are outrageous! The manager just stands there and hardly does any work. Some wonderful folks run this small welcoming cafe. The simple but beautifully executed dishes , wine & coffee are all perfect for the setting. I wish these folks luck, I truly do but I'm not sure what they're thinking. They're pretty much doing the same exact thing the place before them did and they didn't make it. Convenient for people in Tequesta but not much of a selection. Hopefully they will expand as they grow, if they grow. It seems a little confused as to whether they're a coffee shop or a gold dust (this merchandise that is everywhere) dealer or a health food shop that sells coffee and bread. Impressed! I'm an SCAA member and coffee roaster / barista visiting from DC - the coffee is certainly excellent quality (i.e. fresh-roasted speciality beans). Tom (the owner) is certainly dedicated to providing a great experience to his customers. Their breakfast foods were delicious and the baked goods fresh and unique. The atmosphere was clean, neat, and had plenty of coffee-related items which made for a soothing place to enjoy one's morning latte. (My kids enjoyed a game of chess while sipping on a delicious thick Hot Chocolate). Tom's daughter showed off her Latte Art skills while the kitchen staff did their best to ensure our Acai bowl and scones where of the highest quality. I read some of the reviews which were critical about lighting and the "acidity" in the coffee - I find both to be subjective, for example "acidity" is a positive quality associated with good fresh coffee. As far as my experience, I give it 5 stars - Toms efforts show as evidenced in his products and services. I'll keep coming for more! read more
