I've eaten at Perkins locations before and usually enjoy them, but this DuBois location was a huge disappointment. The customer service was some of the worst I've ever experienced. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were an inconvenience. The waitress barely acknowledged us, did not introduce herself, and physically rolled her eyes at us when we simply asked her to lower her voice to not wake a sleeping baby. She seemed uninterested, and made us feel like we were bothering them with basic requests. Food quality aside, good service makes or breaks a dining experience--and unfortunately, the lack of care, friendliness, and professionalism here really ruined our meal. What should have been a simple, relaxing breakfast ended up being stressful and frustrating. I won't be returning to this Perkins, and I'd strongly suggest management focus on training their staff in customer service and hospitality. Until then, I'd recommend travelers or locals look elsewhere if they want to feel welcomed and taken care of while dining out. read more

It is an eight hour drive from my home in New Jersey to Dublin, Ohio where my daughter lives. I've driven the route many times including my visit this Christmas. I usually leave home at 5 am and by 6 am I'm at the Delaware Water Gap and another three hours I'm at Dubois, a city on Route 80. There are not a lot of restaurants to chose from in Dubois and I alternate between The Dutch Pantery and Perkin's. On this trip out for Christmas, I stopped at Perkin's, the half way point. Perkin's is a franchise chain which I usually do not frequent often but than it it about options. I found the Perkins to be reliable in Dubois. They have a large menu, a pleasant wait staff and an upbeat light wood decor. Good coffee is a must after 4 hours driving. I had the Neopolitan Crepes, two strips of bacon, 2 eggs cooked the way you prefer and two vanilla cream filled crepes glazed with strawberries $8.49. Nothing is elevated but every item was solid. They also have a bakery counter with in the store made offerings. Refills on the coffee was a must. They are open from 6 am-9m so the hours are perfect for my trip. read more

I went to dinner with a couple of friends celebrating a birthday. They had a gift certificate. When they went to checkout they told my friends it would not go through & they would have to pay another way. (What if they didn't have any other money) so they did & the counter person told them she'd be in touch & get their money back to them. They've stopped there twice & called twice. Today, going into the 3rd week they called & the woman on the phone was extremely rude. Perkins , it was only a $50 gift card not $1000. Give them their money back! That is ridiculous!! We were all frequent customers but none of us will be there anytime soon. What a shame!! read more

We received our food which was all cold, as if the waitress knew it was done but waited 5 minutes to serve it, then as she was serving it she left to refill someone's drink and left our food in the tray getting colder. One of our members found hair all throughout his burger and my scrambled eggs were raw enough when I cut them the eggs spilled out on the plate because they were raw. The server stated "it's not my problem" then retrieved the manager. The manager was very nice and understanding and covered the bill. He's the only reason I gave 2 stars. read more

I'm not thrilled with this Perkins at all. We came in last night before a school dance. We were seated promptly and that's about all that went right. Our waitress was very dismissive, literally stared out the window the whole time she was at our table, although I was polite, there was no eye contact or personality that she was giving to both tables across from us. She clanged our plates on the table, cautioning that my young daughters plate was hot (honestly surprised she even did that). Mac and cheese was dry, steak overcooked, and green beans that looked like they were pulled from the trash. It was all just disappointing. read more

We ordered two waffles with strawberries. It took them 45 min to get our order out to us. The server didn't come around for 35 min . Waffles were cold bacon was soggy. Eggs tasted strange and hash browns were very crispy and cold . They discounted our meals 50% but I would rather have paid full price for a good meal instead. read more

This place has gone downhill since last time in town.. avocado and cantaloupe aren't supposed to be crunchy. No flavor to them at all because they weren't even close to ripe. Eggs were cold. Hollandaise sauce looked like it had been sitting for a while. Unfortunately, not much else around here. read more

Very "towny" type Perkins.... Standards for even a Perkins are a bit low. We stopped while driving on 80 and out meal of burgers and quesadillas took well over an hour. This may however be the best of de buios as the homecoming dance Pre meal was eating here. read more

Had the Southern fried chicken biscuits. It came out room temperature, biscuits were hard. Probably won't go back.

It wasn't as good as I expected like I mean it was edible and the waitress helped me with the unicorn machine. The baked potato I ate was def a left overdone and the salmon was was definitely salmover-done. Baes fries slapped, but her grill cheese was too greasy. read more

It's a Perkins. Food's acceptable, especially if you're on a road trip and it's the only sit-down option besides McDonalds. The 5-stars all go to our server, Keith: he was poised and hospitable, providing a level of customer service that was a breath of fresh air for two weary travelers. read more

Typical Perkins. Decent food, decent prices. This one is particularly clean, with comfy booths and warm inside on a cold day. Food was what you'd expect, portions were good, came out hot and quick. About 5 minutes off I80, an area sparse of restaurants, worth the trip. read more

Stopped here on a bus trip to Ohio from Maryland. Everyone on our bus was African American and we were the only ones there. We were immediately sat in a back room, all while receiving confused stares as to why we were there. Our waitress was very impolite and standoffish. She did not want to help. My brother went without a refill for 20 minutes because she was no where to be found. When any of us would ask for something, she did not do anything to hide her disdain. She clearly did not want us there. No matter how nice we were, she made sure to remind us of our color by the way she looked at and talked to us. After someone at my table had a question about pricing on her bill, she took it away and brought it back with $2 taken off and no explanation. When we took the bill to the front, the manager was happy to correctly adjust the bill and take off $6, which was far more appropriate. Overall, we were not welcomed or made to feel wanted. The food was good, although it took over 30 minutes to come out. But our server Cassandra was not friendly. If I'm ever in Dubois again, I will not eat. The food is the only thing that got this restaurant a star. It may have even been two stars if we didn't wait so long to eat. read more
