We have always had great food and waitstaff service at this Perkins location. (Fergus Falls, MN) For an inexpensive and filling meal, you can't go wrong with their hamburger, fries and pie special but they offer "breakfast" all day, too! Check your bill before you pay! Rib special was $12.99 but they put it in the bill for $19.98. They changed it when I asked about it but it was clear from the man's response they intentionally put it on the check at $19.99. If I wouldn't have noticed and asked, I doubt they would have changed it. If the price is $12.99, why would they intentionally put it on the bill for $19.99 and not tell you that they know it's wrong when they hand you the bill? Seems like a scam /bad business practice to me. We won't be back. We will eat at restaurants that don't play games with the bill. read more

Lady up front, Amanda, was kind and sat us in a reasonable time. Although many booths were open, she tried to sit us at an unbussed 10 person table. She quickly cleaned a booth for us upon request. She seemed like the hardest worker within sight of customers. Go amanda! Server, Lucy, didn't arrive for about 10 minutes and we already knew what we wanted to drink and eat. She took our order, but spoke to us like we were children, like we weren't paying customers. Rarely checked up on us, and when she was putting in the order, noticed some nasty looks. Our entrees came out after about 25 minutes, lukewarm and with burnt toast. We asked a second time for our DRINKS, which never came until after our entrees were delivered. When we got our drinks, we asked for our APPETIZER, which was a salad, and never came. 20 minutes after we put our plates at the end of the table signifying we were done, she finally brought our check. we noticed a few errors on the receipt, including having to pay for a sub toast instead of fruit, and our free pie was not free like our server explained it would be, hence free pie Monday. Overall: server was kind of rude, although forgiving at the end. Food was okay, kind of lukewarm, as well as the drinks. Seem kind of understaffed, even though not that busy tonight. I would MAYBE come here again, depending on the circumstances of my day. read more

I came in at 9:50pm, was escorted to my booth. I actually had to call the restaurant to get a response from the hostess and waitress that I have been waiting 20 minutes for to come take my drink order and food order!!! My son and I were seated at a table, given water and menus and waited and waited and waited as the bus girl and our waitress talked and talked and we could hear almost everything she was saying and it was all personal NOT BUSINESS. I travel each week for work and eat at a lot of restaurants and the food at this restaurant was absolutely incredible. I had the honey butter pork chop and it was great. I am unsure of the severs name but he did an awesome job. If I could give 10 stars I would. I just ate there for the 2nd time this week and once again, the food and service was incredible. For a long time, I was not really a fan of Perkin's. It was nothing more than an average chain to me. When I was travelling in the middle of the night, it was typically one of the only places open in the middle of the night. Over time, this chain has made some major improvements over the years. We arrived here at the butt-crack of dawn before most of the town was even awake. I don't think our server was even quite awake either! She did a good job, but it just seemed like she would have much rather been sleeping! The food was solid. I was freaking starved so i ordered what seemed to be the biggest breakfast on the menu. It was called The Tremendous Twelve and it consisted of the following: 4 pancakes, 4 slices of bacon. 3 eggs, and hash browns. Yeah it was a huge breakfast and it more than satisfied my huge appetite! It was pretty darn tasty too. Since we usually pass through this area a few times a year, We will most likely be back again at some ungodly hour to satisfy our hunger! read more

Went out to eat today and was treated terrible by the waitress 's And then heard them talking to each other that table 15 seated themselves so I am not waiting on them ( there was no sign to wait to be seated by the way ) one waitress walked by 4 times and gave us a menu and said yeah I am off the floor so you will have to wait for another waitress! Then 3 other waitresses gathered and we talking and we heard them say they were not waiting on us. So sad !! Wow, I can't believe that this Perkins could get worse, but it did. I stopped in briefly just to check the parking lot. There were only 4 cars there and this was at 5:30 pm! Apparently half the items on their menu are not available. I got this from someone else at the hotel I was staying at. They were VERY unhappy with the meal they got. 20 years ago, this was a thriving restaurant. Something is going wrong there. Maybe the manager is not ordering enough food? As a diner, this Perkins is right on. Service was average, the food was average, the atmosphere was average - exactly what I'd expect. I was there at 2am, thankful that they were open. I arrived hungry, I left full. I didn't get sick, and I wondered where my waitress went only once (not bad - she might have actually had something else to do other than wait on me hand and foot). Super slow service!!! 10 - 15 minutes before we were waited on, then once we got our food the omelets were tiny!!! No way they were 3 egg omelets. Plus, my friend found HAIR in his pancake. We never got our bill, and had to go the the counter to even ask to pay for this horrible meal. read more
