Sat down and got drink order right off the bat, so far, so good. 5 minutes later took order, no big deal. What sucked, was that 15 minutes later he asked how I wanted the food cooked and 10 minutes later, he came back and told me they didn't have that and I could order something else. I'm familiar with food service, and I tried this place even though the reviews told me not to. I should have have listened to the reviews (majority). It was nice and quiet on the Tuesday morning we ate there. The server was very nice and friendly. The food came out quick and exactly how we ordered; The everything omelette with hash browns. This place can be real busy but the service is still lovely and you have to wait to be seated. Breading is light on chicken, both easy to chew and moist. Pancakes are super good! I was skeptical at first because it looked so flimsy lol but I was wrong, it had some nice flavor to it. Biscuit, hashbrown, bacon, eggs & gravy tastes the same to other popular local dine in restaurants. Nothing spectacular but it do tastes good. This place is known for their bakery shop which I dont care for but my friends love getting their sugar cookies, choc chip cookies, coconut whip cream pie and pumpkin pie every time we stop by. Good service waitress was spot - on with the order, beverage, meal and check. My "make your own omelet" was done right, hash browns were nice and crispy and no soggy bottom. However, the coffee was really bad. read more

Walk in and could see a presumably new hostess that was off to the side (I assume that part of the restaurant) was closed. She was on her phone just texting away her bff and did not notice us until a server asked if she could sit us so they could get an order entered. She seats us, asks what we would like to drink. My order was simple for water, but the person I was dining with asked a simple question of what diet soda they had. Simple question of coke or Pepsi product. Instead of knowing the menu, she points out that it's in the menu. Server was not personable. I didn't catch her name because frankly, I just wasn't that awed by her. She was shorter, maybe Filipino decent? Regardless, nothing about her interaction with us was memorable. Let's face it, if I was footing the bill and my co worker was not paying my meal for buying theirs the night before, she probably would've gotten maybe a 10% tip at best. Took so long to get our check because she was chatting it up with other customers about her impending California vacation. We ended up going up to the cash register to pay. Breakfast was terrible. Pancakes had been sitting long enough they had a crust on one side, were cold, hash browns were awful. Cold, old and ick. Our server, Dane, was the bright spot. Nice, friendly, but hard to serve people when the food was awful. The cooks obviously didn't care about the quality of food they served. Three out of five orders were incorrect on top of poor quality. Sad as I usually love Perkins breakfasts. I always love having the butterball turkey dinner! It's delicious. They are understaffed but when my server was around she was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were fairly clean I would recommend for any meal. read more

I have not dined at any Perkin's in years. Went to this location since it was near the hotel. I had coffee, orange juice, water, a Granny Omelet, hash browns and pancakes. Now that's a lot for breakfast. The omelet was light and tasty, the hash browns were thin a crispy and the pancakes fluffy. What more can one ask for? It was a lot of food, could not finish the last couple bites of pancakes. The service was polite, friendly, fast and attentive. Nice place! read more

Waited forever, it seams for a shrimp griddle with egg fried rice and peppers. Pepper came with store label still on it! Egg fried rice was rice with a scrambled egg on top! Too much sauce on it. Walking out, the chef was leaving, too. Apologized saying he got stuck with new precooks. Who us running this place. Should have better managerial control. Eat elsewhere. read more

It's a Perkins, so you mostly know what you're going to get, except... I was there for a work related brunch meeting. I ordered the strawberry pancakes and half-way through eating, found a used bandaid on my plate, in the food. It took a minute to figure out what it was, as it was covered in strawberries and whipped cream, but ewwww. Of course, I quit eating, because that's disgusting and I felt sick- and now refer to this place as "Bandaid Perkins". read more

This restaurant is OK, I guess, but they really shouldn't offer things on the menu that they cannot deliver. My family and I came here on the weekend, I ordered chicken pot pie but was unable to have any because they were sold out. Then ordered a Cobb salad, but was told there was no avocado available for it. Still wanting to try their chicken pot pie, I came here again this evening at 5 PM, and was informed the same thing, that they had sold out of the item and had not made any more. This is ridiculous. We decided to leave instead of ordering something I did not want to eat. On another note, my son did order the kids meal this weekend, the mashed potatoes looked good, but the brown gravy was congealed. The macaroni and cheese that he ordered for his kids meal was what looked to be craft microwavable mac & cheese, available for about a buck from Walmart or the dollar store - not really restaurant quality if you ask me. My son did not like the mac & cheese at all, and did not finish it however he did enjoy the mashed potatoes. Pierre is a large enough town that there are several food choices, this one ranks close to the bottom of my list. read more

My fiancé and I dine here quite often and have never had bad service or food. The wait staff is always super friendly and get orders in quickly and accurately. I had a credit card overcharge that initially irritated me, however, Tara the manager took care of it immediately and with the utmost professionalism. I had a check waiting for me the next day. We stopped on our way from California back to Chicago, as you know when you're on a long trip you want a quick meal and to get back on the road. We stopped in after the lunch rush and we're worried we would have to wait as the restaurant was rather busy for 3pm, however our waitress (Jennifer) was quick and had our food to us within 15 minutes. We had the pineapple pancakes and a build a breakfast. I was very happy with the quality of the food as well as the pleasant service. One of the best Perkins I've been to. In town on business, long day of traveling and just wanted to eat and go to bed. I was pleasantly surprised. Food was great! Onion rings were absolutely delicious! So we're the pancakes. The staff is rude. The entire building is nasty. The food is gross and greasy. I hardly ever get what I order and when I do it's cold and gross. We waited to have our orders taken for at least 45 minutes, while we watched waitresses sit down at a booth. It Also took very long to be seated, even though there were hardly any seats taken. I have to edit my review. The Perkins staff apologized and brought a freshly made pie to my house. Small town friendliness and hospitality wins the day! See old review: I used to love to buy a Perkins pie. I went in to buy one and asked the staff what they would recommend. I swear they steered me towards the oldest pie. The whip cream was hard and the chocolate drizzle had dried and shrunk leaving behind a hole with stained topping. I am very disappointed. read more
