There were 5 of us on Christmas Day. They sat us at a booth that was a bit small for our group, but we made the best of it. My daughter ordered the Salmon and fries but there were hardly any fries on the plate. They did kindly bring her out more fries when she pointed it out. My mother ordered the turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes with corn and she thought that was extremely good. Everything was quite tasty! Stopped in at 1:45 on a Saturday afternoon. They were not busy at all but there were 3 waitresses working, plenty of people to cover the tables. Personally I am a huge Perkins fan. I love their breakfast. So I arrived super excited for a late breakfast today. Our waiter was less than friendly but you know, everyone has bad days. However it was a little frustrating to watch others come in get their food eat and go while we were still waiting on our food. But they had the waitress and not our waiter. Food arrived, and unfortunately it was incorrect and lukewarm. But the corrected it quickly. Overall a frustrating experience. I think for me I will stick with a different location. Most of the time we stop here it's for dinner around 7, and they're fairly understaffed but do a stellar job every time. The last time we stopped quick to eat breakfast for dinner before heading to the hospital for my wife to start her induction, so it's a night that definitely will stick with me. The host helped clean the table before we sat down and was very nice and accommodating, as nice as you can be in such a pressing environment. Perkins by far has the best breakfast of all the chain restaurants! The toast and hashbrowns put it to the top. Toast...whatever you think. However after eating plenty of breakfasts from competition the toast is always almost stale tasting but perkins is great. The only issue i have sometimes is undercooked bacon and i cant request it well done online. read more

I've been going to Perkins for years, but decided I needed to treat myself to breakfast this morning and saw this location was on my way to work. This is a nice location just off Hwy 35, but very complicated to get to honestly. If it's early morning like it was today and still dark out it is a bit of a challenge! You have to go past the restaurant and take the frontage road, make a left before the road curves and follow it up toward the Kwik Trip/Edina Realty. Easier when it's light out, but I wondered how many people got off of 35 heading South and went straight, since it looks straight ahead, but that brings you back on the freeway. So just a heads up about that! Today I had a Build Your Own Omelette with sausage, cheese, onions, and mushrooms. I also got French Toast substituted. Everything was fantastic, hot, and really tasty! The French Toast was crunchy but soft inside, and the omelette was really good with sauteed onions and mushrooms and plenty of cheese and sausage. The service was excellent as well! Went here for the first time in a while. They did a great job of being COVID compliant. The staff was friendly and the food was really awesome. I have a mushroom and spinach skillet with pancakes and it was fresh and tasty. My wife enjoyed a burger and was pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure if it's because we haven't been out in awhile though! Only bummer was my wife ordered a soda and it never came. The waitress didn't stop by until our food came and she wanted something to sip on while waiting. She also didn't come by until she gave the check, so 3 times. However, this Perkins, in Lakeville, MN was a pleasant surprise. Given, I was there at opening but coffee was great, Rebekah was awesome. I tried the scrumptious Mediterranean 3 egg Omelette, fresh fruit bowl and a banana nut muffin. The omelette was great. Spinach, Roasted tomatoes and feta cheese, with hollandaise. Fruit bowl consisted of cantaloupe, honey dew and grapes. It was good. Honey dew wasn't that ripe and included to much of the white area or Rhine, for my preference. Dirty coffee mug, dirty silverware all around. And that was before we even ordered food. So I guess wiping out the mug and returning it to the table is good enough. The dirty mug I asked to have replaced had a little chip out if the bottom. The new clean mug had the same chip in the same place Pretty sure the coffee was left over from world war ii. And the perky bear pancake doesn't look at all like the picture, and has half a bag of chocolate chips dumped n the middle. They're also over cooked. Omelette and hasbrowns were fine. My toddler son wouldn't drink his milk, said it taste icky. Been a few years since I was here last. Last visit wasn't great, nor was the one before that. Think I'm done with this location for good. Four of us thought we could have a quick supper, Sunday night, 9/24/23. We arrived about 5:50. No crowd. No wait for a table. The host did the bare minimum, no smiles, no welcome, no pleasantries. He looked bored. Waitress was perky, very friendly, seemed busy, made repeated complaints about the cooks and how fed up she was. She brought water in ten minutes and said she'd be "right back" take our order. About 15 minutes later, she took the order which was very simple with no changes or substitutions. My only request was for the bacon in my BLT TO BE VERY CRISP. Both of us repeated this twice, so she was clear. Fifteen minutes later, she came to clarify our order again, telling us how slow and incompetent the cooks were. Thirty more minutes went by and she assured us we would get our food eventually, that the cooks were busy but really slow. She chatted, was friendly and apologetic. After an hour and ten minutes, nothing... there were mostly empty tables. The host was lounging at the register, thumbing disinterestedly through receipts. I approached him in a not-hostile, not irritable manner, but quietly alerted him to the fact we had been here over an hour and were still waiting for our order. He looked at me blankly, said not a word, no apology, no assurances, nothing. He meandered back to the kitchen and I finally returned to my table Ashe did not return. Several minutes later the waitress who seemed harried, came out and was again apologetic, again repeating how tired she was of dealing with the incompetent cooks. 10-15 minutes later, our food was served. My daughter's French toast and scrambled eggs were COLD; the butter didn't change shape, much less melt. My BLT was ok except the bacon was barely cooked; it was almost warmed uncooked bacon. I began tearing off the really rawest parts which was at least half the bacon. The waitress angrily declared she had told them CRISP, again saying how fed up she was. She marched back to the kitchen and brought a plate of hastily-cooked, semi-burnt, but crisp bacon. Then she said she was giving us all free pie. We were so late for my grandson's hockey game already, I skipped the pie. I've had many meals at Perkins and NEVER had to wait an hour and 15 minutes for a simple, straightforward order. No complaints about the waitress, but the host or whoever was in charge obviously couldn't care less and the management is clearly equally incompetent. I would NEVER go to this Perkins again! There were probably not more than two or three other tables with customers in the whole place. The food was suboptimal, the host was utterly worthless, and the wait was galling with no explanation. If I had the option to chose a rating of zero I would have. My experience at this Perkins was absolutely horrible.The server Kevin, was rude from the very beginning. He was rushing my children to make their order which was very unprofessional. I specifically asked if the salad I order had any bacon and he aggressively answered NO. When my order came I noticed that there was bacon in it. When I tried to call him over to the table he ignored us. In fact, he didn't bother checking in on us to make sure we needed anything through out our stay. When he finally came over I showed him there was bacon in my salad which I had told him in the beginning I didn't want due to religious purposes. Kevin denied that it was bacon and insisted that they were walnuts. Since when does bacon, a meat product look like nuts??? What disturbed me even more was he suggested that I eat only the sides that came with the salad. I told the server that I would pay for the salad but not eat it. I didn't order anything else as a replacement of my meal. Once I got home I called in to speak to a manager as I did not want to have this conversation in front of my kids or other customers. I talked to an employee named Kathy who posed to be the manager which she was not. When I kept asking who I was talking to she then confessed that she was not the general manger and informed me that Heather was not in. I never wrote a review and experienced this type of horrible costumer service. I WOULD NOT recommend going here if you are an immigrant or follow a religion of similar beliefs. read more

Not once did the manager come over to apologize to myself or my mother.
