We had a lovely gentleman wait on three of last night, February 13, 2026. We had came from work and all 3 of us ordered the fish and an order of Nachos. I ordered fish with mashed potatoes and unaware, not paying attention, that there was gravy on the potatoes. I had our server, I believe he was the manager as well, take it back and get me plain potatoes. He brought back my plate with a fourth of what the original serving was, I asked him if he could get me more potatoes. He did seem a bit annoyed, as rightly so. I have been a server in a former life, and taking back food and doing it twice is frustrating. I am not one to almost never take back a plate, tonight, I did, TWICE! First I had to apologize to my friends if I seemed rude, It was definitely not the intention, I knew This was my last supper for awhile as doing a cleanse for the next 30 days. Second, Definitely had to apologize to our server/manager, he was most kind when I did. I wanted to come in here, and give a five star review, for excellent service and excellent food. The restaurant was quiet, we were late diners, and easy to talk. We had a great time. I was also surprised by my daughter and grandson with flowers, candle and a bag of my favorite coffee. It's new in a shopping area . Small parking area. Prices $41 for breakfast for two. Host was busy but never looked up to say hi we will be right with you...ever...to anyone . Never said thank you, how was everything? No eye contact. Clearly not suited as your welcome guy! Wait staff seating and waiting table. Bus person on. There is no welcoming feeling from door host to waiter: no music; no visible manager. Food and coffee hot, French toast had hard crust but eggs hash browns good. Fresh hot coffee. A+ My entree came onto two small plates and a third plate for side French toast. Must have run out of clean large plates. Customers being too loud to the point where u cant hear person across from u. Stingy on the food. Management refused to tell customers to quiet down. Food isnt all that great. Service is horrible at this location. Dont go late at night. Management is disrespectful to customers. Would rather eat anywhere else read more

Late breakfast on a Saturday at 2:30pm. Parking lot was empty. Seemed like a great time to stop in. Waitress was friendly when we came in and the place was empty and pretty clean. Quick to grab drink orders and food orders. Unfortunately, after that customer service went way down hill. Maybe she took our friendliness as a sign for her to be unprofessional, not sure. The waitress began to sweep under our table knocking our feet with the broom and when she went to seat another couple she asked my 83 year old father in law to get up out of his chair and move so they could pass instead of going around the opposite side of the table. (We were the only two customer groups in the entire place). She reached across us several times to deliver food, interrupted conversations, and complained about management and some personal issue with the cook. Really left us with a bad taste. Upside and reason for the positive part of review, food was fantastic. We had pancakes, omelets, hash brown , and tasted their new pancake puffs which were amazing. Nothing flashy or fancy, but it is pretty hard to beat their $2 stack of pancakes. There are timeless classics on the menu for when you are craving diner food. The prices are also reasonable and not inflated like similar joints. Service is always pretty fast and friendly and we can get in and out in quick order. Well Dennys at this location just lost 2 loyal customers . We would go there 2 to 3x monthly. Tonight was our deciding factor when we ordered classic eggs Benedict. when the order came it looked a little odd . Bright yellow sauce that ended up being like a nacho cheese sauce. So I asked if they have a new cook because this is not what I ordered. I was told that well we have 3 cooks tonight one speaks very little English and one is doing nothing the other one is new. The server agreed it didn't look like what I ordered. ask if I would like it remade .I said yes please ..so I recieved my dinner back. just ham,eggs on top of English muffins. No sauce at all ..when I asked for sauce he brought me out the cheese sauce on the side . Said he would adjust the bill so what we got for a bill was eggs Benedict added 2x and subtracted 13.00 meaning he adjusted the bill almost 2 whole dollars . Well I ate the egg and ham with out the cheese. I order this probably 5 out 7 times we go there so I know what it looks like and tastes like .This was not it at all . In the end we asked if he could do better on the bill since this was clearly not what we ordered..and he finally knocked off 5.00 total. And said that was all he could do. Asked if we needed a to go carton . why would I need a to go carton on something that was not made right in the first place. Enough said .. lesson learned we won't be back . read more

Went to get breakfast at 12pm parking lot was empty, we thought that it was going to be fast to get our food. Kept waiting for more than an hour our server got mad when I ask to get different silverware because ours was dirty and we got different ones and they were still dirty very disappointed and disgusted by the service and food. Decided to give this place another try for breakfast. To say the service was horrible implies that there was any to begin with. Waited ten minutes to get a server at our table. Another ten minutes to get our drinks and another half hour to get our food. Thirty minutes to get two Grand Slam breakfasts and the place was not busy. Hash browns burnt to cardboard, toast was really just warm bread. Only good thing was the pancakes and there was no syrup provided; had to use jelly at the table because the server was nowhere to be found. Had to go to the counter to get my check because I didn't want to wait until lunch time for someone to come around. Fix something at home. read more

My son wanted to come here of all places to celebrate his 15th Birthday with out of area grandparents. I did say Pizza Ranch and Old Country Buffet and Super Buffet were no's. Had low expectations as other Denny's are notriously slow. Ordered bacon cheeseburger with peanut butter on the side. My new vice. Only complaint was fry portion was skimpy and had 1" stubby fries. Burger was tasty but should have separated lettuce as it was slimy on hot bun. I just removed. Other family members were impressed, shared some food with the birthday boy. Would return. read more

If I had to complain about one thing it's that sometimes they are understaffed sometimes and a sever might forget to a thing or two and might also forget to check up on your table but otherwise it's a pretty great place to eat. read more

Was little disappointed this morning. The coffee cups were so dirty looking with black marks all over the sides and coffee stains on the edge of the cup that made it looked like they had never been washed before reusing them. Always a nice place to come where the staff is always nice, Ashley is one of the sweetest waitresses. The whole staff always have smiles on their faces every time i come in. Will definitely be back. First off, a shout out to Michelle our server at Dennys in Apple Valley today. She was great; patient and ready for that empty coffee cup. This review is for the Apple Valley Denny's only. There is a reason there are very few of these restaurants remaining in the TC. Fortuneately this one sits above the others. Now I wouldn't say this is gourmet cooking, obviously. But if you wan't an affordable short order joint where the franchise owner is usually there and the service is generally very good, then this is a place to go. Yes, the skillet breakfast veggies tasted like they were boiled before they were fried and I had to add a pinch of salt to get the flavor rolling. That being said, I will add that the eggs were cooked as requested and the coffee is better than a lot of places. Sure, Denny's is a national chain. But the franchise owner lives here. read more

I was pleasantly surprised on this trip to the Denny's. Their current promotion features the new Avengers movie and they mustered a tasty skillet meal called the Human Torch. This skillet came out fajita style on a sizzling skillet, featuring a tasty blend of potatoes, onions, peppers, jalapeños, mushrooms, all smothered in some sort of 5 pepper sauce. I went for Breakfast this morning 08/06/2019 I ordered the Original Grand Slam, food was horrible bacon and sausage links were not done. I had to run to the bathroom and throw up, went to back to my chair and I complained to the waitress ( she was very nice ) she went to get the manager and he made some kind of excuses. I eaten here before and had great service but today the service was so bad I couldn't believe it first of all we were sat down by the manager 4/5/11 at 640pm and wasn't offered a drink like usually...then she sat a couple down and ask them what to drink right away ..fine when we did order a we finally got our pop my glass was 3/4 full ..fine when the food got there they were a sausage missing ..fine my pop was done and no one came and refill it not like all the other people around us ...and by then I was done with the service . I have been to many Denny's, but this one is outstanding for one reason: the service is excellent! Every time I've been here the waitstaff was at the table at every instant I needed something, and was always helpful and happy to serve. We have had one thing we didn't like here which was the smothered fries. Way to much cheese ,but you know what we still enjoy the great service and good food here. We love the value menu. They have an amazing turkey sandwich with avocado, Pepper Jack cheese and pepper spread with a cup of soup and crackers for $6. We come here as often as possible. It's love. read more

We just moved to Apple Valley and this was the first restaurant we visited the next morning. The food was great, the dining room was clean. The cashier was as personable as can be. Minus one star was for the wait staff who clearly had a distaste for tattoo-laden patrons from out west and didn't hesitate to turn up her nose at us and at our kids. read more

Better than Perkins, much more portions at same or less of price. I had the Country Fried Steak with seasoned fries and some brownish looking rice that had some sort of seed in it. The portions was ginormous, I didn't finish it all, at 4/5 of the plate. I didn't finish it not because I didn't like it, but because my stomach could not handle anymore.
