We both got French dips which were very good. The dipping sauce is very flavorful. I upgraded to onion rings and my wife got fruit. Our server was great she was running crazy, but had all her tables handled. Overall, it's what you would expect from the chain. I didn't have desert but boy did they look good! read more

This was my first time eating at a Perkins and the experience was very solid. The restaurant was very clean, staff members were friendly, and breakfast was comfortable. I ordered the Farmer with fresh fruit and buttermilk pancakes. The order came out quickly everything tasted great. The coffee was nice and smooth - I'm always hesitant to order coffee during breakfast in fear of weird aftertastes but I'm glad I took a chance here! The omelette was flavorful and the amount of toppings/ fillings seemed just right. I'm a little jealous as to how the omelette turned out (it was wrapped nicely, while mine always look like a mess) and the ingredients played very well together. You can never go wrong with bacon, right!? The buttermilk pancakes were gone in a flash after I'd poured on some of the twinberry syrup! Overall, a simple breakfast with no hassle! We checked out the bakery before leaving and took some oatmeal cranberry and chocolate chip cookies home. Very delicious, and we were glad that the cookies struck the right balance between moist and dry. I'll certainly be on the lookout for a Perkins closer to home! It might be a little more expensive than a Denny's would be, but the difference in quality makes it worthwhile! read more

We stopped in for an early dinner. I ordered the country fried steak, mashed potatoes, and salad. My dining companion ordered chicken strips, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The country fried steak and chicken tenders were both over cooked and "tough." The gravy did taste good and was thick & creamy. The potatoes were whipped, not mashed as advertised. The salad was fresh. They put way too much dressing on it. Should serve on the side. A roll would be nice to serve with dinners. The green beans were seasoned with bacon. Our server was ok. He never came back to refill our beverages. I prefer the Perkins in Wheeling much better. One nice thing is Perkins offers veteran discounts. read more

Way to expensive, especially most food is frozen then just heated up. Bring lots of money to pay for cooked frozen meal.

Service wasn't friendly at all, but my egg white omelet was good. For some reason the cooks at Perkins (all of them I've been to) can nail an egg-white omelet like most others can't. For this alone I'm pleased. But it wouldn't hurt to smile at your customers a little, eh. read more

Not sure if they got a new menu or new cooks but Perkins has definitely increased on the 'having really good food' list. The steak, pork chops, and the breakfast skillets are my family's first choices. You would think because this place isn't a steak house not to order it HOWEVER, that is what makes it cooked to perfection. They take the time to cook it made to order and the flavor in my opinion is rivaled to Red Lobster steaks. Plus the pies and cookies always hit the sweet spot and my 5 year old daughter can back me up on that. read more

This was my first visit to Perkins in a Very long time. It was 11:00 AM and we were offered Breakfast and Lunch/Dinner menus. I ordered the Soup/Salad combo ( Tomato Basil ) and a house salad. Both were so fresh and delicious, I will admit to being shocked, I will absolutely go back, and tell anybody who will listen that they should eat there.
