From the time we stepped in the door we were greeted and sat quickly. The waiter was to the table fast and was very friendly and professional. I did not visit the restroom but the restaurant was pretty clean and seemed well organized. The food was your basic breakfast food but it was cooked well and tasted great. There was not to much grease and it was seasoned well. I love a good French toast and its hard to find anymore unless I cook it. This was perfect. The combination of the egg and the seasoning in it were great. I'd go back for that and the honey pepper bacon any day of the week. Thanks all for what ya do there for people. read more

We ordered food at 2 o'clock. It came out at 3:10. My friends order wasn't even registered, so they had to start making his order from scratch after the rest of us received our food, meaning his order came out an hour and 20 minutes after we ordered. Our group was planned to leave at 3:15 in order to complete the last leg of our trip and get home (which should have given us plenty of time to order, eat, and pay), however, the inefficiency and abysmal service prevented us from staying on time. Additionally, over half of our table had an incorrect order - missing sides, wrong sides, etc - along with being extremely late. The entire experience was ridiculous and unprofessional. read more

First time and last time in this restaurant. I ordered an omelette with meat,cheese and mushrooms. When the server brought it out, it was laying in a pool of grease. I opened it up to find more grease and barely any mushrooms and cheese. I asked the waitress why it was so greasy. She replied, "I don't know, I didn't cook it." She then walked away. She came back later and said her manager said it was greasy because of the sausage. I told her I have had this kind before and have never had this much grease and she was not concerned and told me I could possibly talk to manager when I paid for my food. I ate as much as I could stomach and went to pay. When I got to the register a woman asked me, "How was everything?" I said it was disgusting. She told me my total and did not say anything else other than have a nice day when she handed me the receipt. Absolutely no customer service in that place from anyone. Unbelievable. We ordered the Farmhouse Feast with turkey for Thanksgiving. It was almost $100. We had ordered twice before and were very pleased with the meal. But this order for Thanksgiving was a disappointment. The dinner rolls were burnt and dry to the point of being hard to swallow. The turkey while the quantity was good, more than half of the slices had significant dark spots. Whether it was a bruise or blood that leached into the meat - it was a turnoff. The pumpkin pie was old - so dry that the filling separated from the sides. The vegetable side of the meal was good - mashed potatoes, green beans and corn. So too was the dressing and gravy. Probaby will go back to cooking at home next year because of this Bob Evans fail. read more

After a visit to the cabelas across the way, we had breakfast. This was my first time at a Bob Evan's and decided to give it a try. It's similar to a dennys or ihop but less of a corporate franchise feel, and more of a mom and pop kinda family restaurant. Our waiter Mark was very nice and friendly. Had two eggs, sausage, hash and side of flapjacks, coffee and juice. Bill was about $30 and was full! The presentation seemed kind of blah for some reason. I am shocked and somewhat indifferent when it comes to how cheap it was to eat here. I know it's a chain, and a lot of what is served is not top shelf quality, but for what they lacked in wow factor taste, they made up for in service. It was a nice little rest stop on a recent trip and we were hungry. We were tired of fast food, so we decided fast casual was the way to go. When we arrived it must have been either before or after a mad rush, there was nobody inside the place. We were seated, drink orders taken and looking over the menu within minutes of stepping foot inside. Our server was on point, never forgetting anything. I ordered an entree with a side and a side salad before the meal and my total came to around $8. I was impressed. The salad was decent, made right after we ordered with an ample amount of salad dressing. My entree was OK, nothing spectacular about it. I did end up tasting it anytime I belched the rest of the day, but at the time it filled the void that was my empty stomach. read more

I do not normally eat at this kind of restaurant but ended up eating here while traveling with a relative back in February of 2011. The food was diligently prepared, the service was very polite and prompt, and the restaurant was very clean and well kept. The ambience was also especially nice and we were seated next to a window and had a lovely view of the snowflakes falling and drifting about outside as we dined. My companion was especially delighted with the expeience and that was even more of a joy to me than my own personal experience. The said companion said he enjoyed his dining experience so much that he would gladly dine here again on future trips to the Ohio area. My companion was epsecially thrilled with the food so the five stars for the food comes from his love of the cuisine. Though the food was good it isn't the kind of food I normally eat so it was good and I would eat there again if travelling with the same companion but it might not be my first choice otherwise. I personally rate it five stars for the ambience and the service. Being dressed in foreign attire often isn't well received in many places and the people here didn't even bat an eye or treat me any differently than any other American in the restaurant. To me that alone is worth five stars. I gave a tip and this is saying something because normally I am very stingy about tips and I do not give one unless I really liked the service. read more

I wish the owner of another diner I recently reviewed would read this. I stopped at this Bob Evans for a late breakfast after the hotel never delivered the breakfast I ordered up. Turns out, this was a much better breakfast. Everything I had was freshly made and excellent. The biscuits are made on site, and even though it was almost noon by time I stopped, they had just recently come out of the oven. Very tender, very fluffy, very warm. Unlike the cold, premade refrigerated biscuits I had a few weeks back at the "Best Breakfast In Cranberry." My eggs were done perfectly, and the sausage had some substance. Not the 1/8" thick precut sausage I had a few weeks back at the "Best Breakfast in Cranberry." And the hash browns were also freshly made, not a quick fried patty from the freezer like I had a few weeks back at the "Best Breakfast in Cranberry." But the best part was the sausage gravy. I could tell it was freshly made by the slight brown color it had picked up from freshly cooked sausage, with just a hint of grease for extra flavor. Not too thick, not too thin with a good balance of flour and milk. Not the disgusting sausage gravy from a can like I had a few weeks back at the "Best Breakfast in Cranberry." The owner of the shop that puts out the "Best Breakfast in Cranberry" said that he did not know if any restaurant did 100% from scratch. Probably not, but this Bob Evans is close. And it certainly wasn't 100% from the fridge and freezer. I''l be back at this Bob Evans when in the area again. read more

Terrible! Couldn't cook over-easy eggs, twice, without runny white.

This needs to allow negative stars. My son's mac and cheese was cold, my husband's burger was on the wrong bread, and they were out of mayo and chicken breasts. I could overlook that, but the service was terrible. We didn't get our bread with our meals and when I asked the waitress for it in a to go box she brought out only 2 rolls (should have been 4 since there was 2 meals w/bread) on a plate and not in a box. There's plenty more, but I'm tired of typing this mess. This place isn't worth the time to stop in at all. read more

Outstanding! Wonderful experience at this Bob Evans. The breakfast meal I chose of scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy and sausage was perfect. Unlike 95% of other chains, they take the time to scramble their eggs throughout the cooking process resulting in truly fluffy, scrambled eggs. My husband and I stopped at this Bob Evens today and We were so impressed with the whole experience I had to go online and let everyone know. The service was outstanding. I have never had a server bring another associate to our table and introduce her and let us know she would be taking care of us while she went on break and then have that person come back and actually check on us a before our regular server returned. We both ordered salads, they were so fresh it was as if the ingredients had been hand picked minutes ago. I recommend the pecan chicken and the WildFire salads. The place was super clean .. If I could give this place a negative 5 I would. It all started as soon as we walked in. The staff were all rude and just starred at us for about 10 min when we walked in mind you their were only a handful of family's sitting in the whole restaurant. There were about 10 staff members all standing behind the counter just looking at each other and looking at us. As if they were pulling straws to see who was going to seat us. Finally as we were seated the staff members were all arguing with each other as we could hear from our booth. UNPROFESSIONAL!!! The one thing they did have going for them is the food. No complaints there it was really good. But then it was time to pay and the same as when we entered they all just starred and asked each other who's checking out the customer. My mother was waiting and finally when someone came to check us out she asked for a senior discount the told her we don't give seniors discounts any longer. Plain rude group of staff members.
