    Grease

First time and last time in this restaurant. I ordered an omelette with meat, cheese and mushrooms. When the server brought it out, it was laying in a pool of grease. I opened it up to find more grease and barely any mushrooms and cheese. I asked the waitress why it was so greasy. She replied, "I don't know, I didn't cook it." She then walked away. She came back later and said her manager said it was greasy because of the sausage. I told her I have had this kind before and have never had this much grease and she was not concerned and told me I could possibly talk to manager when I paid for my food. I ate as much as I could stomach and went to pay. When I got to the register a woman asked me, "How was everything?" I said it was disgusting. She told me my total and did not say anything else other than have a nice day when she handed me the receipt. Absolutely no customer service in that place from anyone. Unbelievable. Poor quality of food, service and management.

Miss these no longer being in Texas. Food is good and salads are wonderful. Soup is tasty and service is always good. Love the seasonal flavors.

BBQ Beef Dinner okay but their sauce was way too sweet. My plate was handed to me by a young man with cruddy fingernails.

I am a regular at Bob Evans. Waitress Lisa is outstanding. The breakfast cook makes wonderful omlets and perfect over easy eggs.

This is the Official Bob Evans of Oglebay Trips…read more Seriously, guys. It's not a trip to Oglebay without a stop at this Bob Evans. Sometimes, if you're visiting the Festival of Lights on a particularly busy night, your wait in traffic might even start near this Bob Evans!! The facts: it is a standard Bob Evans. It was newly renovated (between our 2011 and 2012 Oglebay Trip visits). It has delicious baked goods, ample parking (attached to or very near a hotel - make a night out of Bob Evans and Oglebay!), and clean restrooms (PITTSBURGH DAD MOMENT OF OGLEBAY TRIPS: YINZ ALL BETTER PEE BEFORE WE GET IN THE CAR LINE). I think I love this Bob Evans because I remember always coming here prior to Oglebay as a child. It was the last moment of the night when we were all getting along: everyone was having coffee and those delicious Bob Evans rolls, and we were talking about what we were hoping to see in the light show, and nobody was burnt out of creeping up an icy hill at 2 miles an hour to see an animated lit-up fisherman. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and Bob Evans has something on the menu for everyone. There's breakfast all day, smaller senior portions, and even a 'light' menu (but save some calories for those soft, warm, yeasty buns!). It's located right off the exit to Wheeling, so it's your first official beacon that you have arrived in Christmas Light Town. It may be a chain restaurant, but it's one I'm always willing to stop into when I find myself in West Virgina!

McDonalds next door has higher quality food. That is the problem. They use the cheapest ingredients possible. Would it be too much to ask for FRESH LETTUCE in the salads. Chicken tenders brand was changed to one that looks like artifical meat. No taste and weird texture. I choose Perkins over Bob Evens anytime.

Pocha by Kye Won was a 34 mile road trip from New Castle, PA, and worth it! (It was a nice weekend…read moredrive in the country with the wife though, so the drive was fun too) I got the dol-sut bibimbap, the wife got the spicy pork with sweet potato noodles (those are the translucent lightly brown stretch noodles you find in so many Korean dishes. GET THEM instead of rice, or with rice if you have to have rice, just get these tasty, stretchy, noodles!) Kye-Won is who did the actual service for the food, and she is terrific. I'm VERY familiar with Korean food, and she guided us through the smaller, but well curated menu. There is no jujube chicken, no squid on a stick or oyster pancake. What they DO have is a rotating menu of kimchi ban-chan sides, all EXCELLENT! If you are disappointed by the banchan and kimchi you've had elsewhere, because it wasn't "hearty" enough, this place will fix that. I loved the place! Without reservation and unequivocally. Oh, and there's an outside covered grilling tent for AUTHENTIC Korean table grilled meats! (The Korean bbq) I can't wait to go back for that! Check out the menu pics, all current as of March '26.

Since we were at Grist House, I wanted to have a drink. I absolutely loved my pineapple mojito with vodka. So sweet and delicious! We decided to try some apps because they all sounded really good and we read about how much people enjoyed the online. We started out with the Mandu (Pork Dumplings) / 만두 were so crunchy and the meat and sauce were really good too. The scallion pancake was so crispy and flavorful. We all loved it. My husband also loved his Korean Curry Rice / 카레라이스. He's a big curry fan. My mom and I love Korean beef. We both had the bulgogi with noodles. We found out the beef bulgogi is cooked in fire so it was a bit more burnt than we could eat. We let our nice waitress know who talked to the owner. The owner personally came out to find out more, explain and make it right. It meant a lot to us. She remade the food with less char and it was delicious. It also came out quickly. Then she also took them off the bill. I tried to at least pay for one. It was only fair. She appreciated the gesture but would not hear of it. What a wonderful person! We would love to come back and try the Korean fried wings. Others had them and they looked delicious. I also love Japchae and would like for try that with chicken. So many good things on the menu.

This is where you eat, inside. Only a couple tables and a bar for the draft beer. Not a banquet hall.
