The food here is delicious and all homemade. It is cafeteria style but they also have takeout. They have a huge menu and something for everyone. Their pies are to die for. I highly recommend giving them a try.

Looking for something completely different? You found the right place. Pull off I70 and check it out! This is a very clear choice for older locals. I think we were the youngest couple in the place. My husband and I have driven past the big sign for years while traveling. We finally had the opportunity to stop and we are glad we finally did!! Upon entering, we immediately scanned the entryway, surely looking a little puzzled. We arrived around 5 on a Sunday. An older gentleman pointed us in the right direction and offered us suggestions. Off to a great start! Check out the menu for the day, as it changes. We waited in line for about 10 minutes before grabbing a cafeteria tray. We were glad we had time to check out the menu and desserts (at the front of the line) before actually starting! We tried to sample several things. Think grandma's home cooking at a bargain price. Everything we got was good. Not piping hot, but still good enough to eat. I got the stuffed chicken breast, broccoli casserole, mixed veggies, cornbread, and chocolate pie. We were debating getting multiple entrees but after seeing the portions, decided maybe we should get less. I'm glad we did, because we left stuffed! You can also order takeout and they have parking spots for curbside pickup near the back of the building. Highly recommend the cornbread. You don't wanna miss out on that! The dated decor almost adds to its charm. It looked like they had plenty of seating areas but from what I read, they get busy so they need it. It wasn't bad the Sunday evening we went. They were playing classical renditions of 80s/90s rock songs from what I could tell. Truly a little gem of a place and clearly loved by the locals. The staff were friendly and overall it was a good experience. I'm glad we finally stopped! Give it a shot and check it out!

The food was good for what I got. The stuffing was excellent, and the sugar-free cherry pie was good. The pumpkin pie with whipped cream was awesome. The ribs I had were kinda of dry. The place was busy, but they had plenty of rooms to place their guests. The decor was ok and may need to be updated soon.

PROS: When you pull in to a restaurant and the parking lot is crowded, you know it's a good choice. This is a great spot known to locals--and the dessert choices are amazing!! Cafeteria-style low prices portions are large enough to split home cooked meals (think grandmas version of Cracker Barrel). CONS: old-style (or cool hipster vintage?!) wallpaper and decor. Bathrooms are pretty small. If you touch the food while admiring it, you have to buy it (it's a perfect rule by the way--just be careful and look at the delicious food with your only your eyes). Great tourist spot, good food & something a little different than normal.

If you're ever in the area and are in the mood to try something completely different than most restaurants of nowadays, you really need to try this. It reminded me of college or if you're from the Centerville Ohio are and had the opportunity to try Cambridge Inn back in the days. The parking lot always seem packed but there is a ton of seating inside and usually the only wait is for the line to go thru the line(start looking at the menu posted on wall straight ahead to prepare yourself) to get trays and silverware. Once you're all set up, drag the tray along and behold the wonderment of the choices of desserts, foods and sides. There were six of us, seating was plentiful and the have what I would refer to as helpers that will help you with drinks, napkins and cleanup. We all had different selections for dinner. I get like a winner as I got the last chicken pot pie and it was delicious but the lasagna that my mom got wins my vote for best meal had that day. My mom grew up in the area and when we'd visit our family in the area, it always involved us stopping by and picking up a pie(or three?) to bring. Their desserts are just good old fashioned deliciousness. The coconut and peanut butter cream pies are incredible. Like I mentioned above, if you're ever in the area, stop by, take a step back in time and enjoy a good what it appears as a home cooked meal. And... grab a pie on your way out.

Nursing home vibes, but the food is amazing. The fried chicken and roast beef are both awesome and the service is great.

Fantastic I like…read moretotally flew by the seat of my pants when I planed the West Virginia portion of our trip. Wheeling seemed to be somewhere in the vicinity of our drive to Morgantown tomorrow so I decided to stay the night. Looking for a place for dinner, I stumbled upon this place on Yelp in wheeling. Little did I know what an iconic place this is. We arrived at 5:15 on a Wednesday evening bc we are getting old. A couple leaving at 5:15 made us see our future. We were fortunately seated immediately. The inside is SO CUTE. I can't get enough of it. It felt like such an authentic Italian experience. Our server was incredible. So nice, personable, helpful. We started with our beverage orders. I went with a little something off their cocktail menu the elderflower martini which, exactly as I expected, was way more like spiked juice than a "martini" but I wouldn't want it any other way. Don't think I wasn't intrigued by the fried cheese but we have been eating a fair amount of that lately so instead of offering an app, I opted for an entree (stuffed rigatoni) and a side of broccoli. GF ordered fettuccine with red clam sauce. She got a house salad and I didn't for some reason. The broccoli was seasoned wonderfully but the texture wasn't as crisp as I would have liked. The rigatoni and the house sauce was ORGASMIC. That sauce is incredible I would gladly buy it by the jar. The rigatoni were al dente pillows of creamy ricotta heaven. Spectacular. GF regarding her red clam sauce pasta, "delicious". We also ordered the tiramisu to go so stay tuned on that.

We arrived and thought maybe we are a little underdressed for this place. So we asked for outside seating. There was a couple with a kiddo out there it was quiet and not as cold as inside. Very nice. Drinks? Asked the waitress "do you have sweet and is it good!?" "Oh yes!" She replied. Me and my grandson agreed on sweetea. She brought it out and it was quite weak and had an odd taste. Yuh, they don't have filtered water. So it's WV chlorinated. We ordered an appetizer and it came quickly. 2 Ribeyes medium and medium rare. And a cod filet. The cod came out 45 min before the steaks. We kept being told by the waitress and owner I'm guessing "just a few more minutes!" An hour after sitting down maybe longer two well don't steaks were sat infront of hubby and grandson. Absolutely not! We were going to suck it up but it wasn't cheap. So the guy said he'd take and replace the steaks. 30 ish min later the steaks came out still overdone. They gave us no discounts brought out an entire other full serving of food. Over 2 1/2 hours total. We were going to serve the overcooked meet to our dogs and they wouldn't even eat the meat or the bone. Apparently this place is popular with the locals but our experience was extremely poor.

I went there with a small group of families/kids after an outing at the Children's Museum; it was great to be able to walk over to an easy lunch that was better than the museum cafe. We'd probably come back just for this convenience. But I can also see how Federal Galley could have a sports bar feel when a Bucco or Steeler game is going on nearby. That said, the food was just ok. Portions were huge, but the dishes were kind of basic with a ton of sauciness/goopiness. My burrito from Mijo had a ton of chicken but not much in terms of beans and rice and no veggies or garnishes. My wife got a huevos rancheros bowl that just had mountains of sauce; it filled her up, made her very thirsty, and made a huge mess. The kids cheese burger and fries from Triple S was just fine for my daughter but, again, basic.

Here are my ratings for what we ate: Beef Graffiti's Smashie burger - 4 stars - This burger was not greasy, and its accompanying fries were not soggy. They were decent. Mijo's Street Taco Entree - 4 stars - We ordered three flavors of tacos: Al Pastor with Pineapple (which my husband described as "good" and "best"), Carne Asada, and Shrimp. The sides were plain rice and beans. Usually my husband loves rice and beans, but he called these ones "interesting" and "bad." TS Cafe's Greek Salad - 4 stars - This salad contained fresh, tasty ingredients. The total price for these foods plus a soda and water was about $61.

We were seated immediately upon arrival and greeted by a very friendly waitress. She explained that Table Six is a family-owned business, which we always appreciate because we love supporting local, small businesses. She also let us know that everything is made to order and brought out as it's finished. The only aspect we didn't love was that the food arrived as it was completed rather than all at once. While we understand that's part of their made-to-order approach, it's not our preferred dining style. We were unable to eat together without one of us having cold food. The food came out about 10 minutes apart. Based on our waitress's recommendation, we ordered the Roasted Brussels Tacos and the T6 Smash Burger. Both were flavorful and satisfying, and we were happy with our choices. For dessert, we ordered the Peanut Butter Brownie Sundae and The Elvis, a banana pudding dessert with peanut butter. We took both to go and discovered later that the peanut butter topping was accidentally left off The Elvis. While that was disappointing, the banana pudding itself was absolutely delicious and still enjoyable. Between the warm service, family-owned atmosphere, and tasty food, Table Six left a positive impression on us. Despite the small dessert mix-up, we'd definitely return if we're ever back in the area.
