We usually stop here once per month and during the last 6 stops here there has been something wrong each time. We love Cheddar's, but this location has an issue getting our orders correct. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of food and taste. We were traveling through the area. We did call ahead seating from online. I highly recommend. They only give you so many minutes as we had to run in the door. It is like a Fridays or Applebees. It is not gourmet but was fine. They have discount alcoholic drinks. The garden salads were nice and big. I liked the unusual Onion Ring tower appetizer. My son liked the cheese curd appetizer. My bourbon burger was disappointed. Medium meant well done and no time to send back. The mushrooms and onions were minimal. I had to pay a add-on fee for the grilled mushrooms. The queso and salsa appetizer was good and came with a lot of tortilla chips. The pastry like croissants that they give you for the table bread was interesting. read more

I have been to a couple of Cheddar's locations previously, but this was my first experience at this location in West Virginia. This one is convenient because it is just off the highway (70) and very close to a huge Cabela's. I have had better experiences at other Cheddar's locations, but this one was ok. I tried the Cajun Chicken Bowl. It really lacked a lot of flavor and was on the small side. Our server may have been having a bad day or something, but she really wasn't friendly and did not pay a lot of attention to us. I had a disappointing experience, in that the quality wasn't great like typical at Triadelphia. My spouse's painkiller, as was mine, was overly sweet. The Trio Sampler wasn't great like I've been accustomed to at various other Cheddar's branches. At this location, we noticed they were overly salty and unenjoyable. read more

We used to come here all the time before covid. It's just not the same as it used to be. The meatloaf itself was a 1 star but the service and fish made up for it. For a snack, they bring out croissants, topped with honey butter, warm, fall apart, with the honey butter spread across, soooooo yummy! I got the Smokehouse Burger, a half-pound burger served with bacon, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, sauteed onions. Of course, I always add Ranch dressing. Great burger, everything works great together. We had a family emergency yesterday with my grandmother so my fiancee having worked 8 hours already had to leave early. She was wrote up and told that the job is more important then our family members health for some where that is promoting family food and environment they sure have a horrible view of family health. My husband and I are passing through the area and stopped here on Memorial Day at about 5:15 PM. A number of cars were in the parking lot and I was concerned there'd be a wait. We were greeted warmly by the hostess, who sat us immediately at a cozy booth. As soon as we sat down our waitress, Iris, arrived and took our drink order. When she returned, she gave some recommendations on the menu. I had the grilled chicken pecan salad and was very happy with my choice. The chicken was very moist and tender. The salad greens were fresh and the dressing that came with it. A honey mustard was perfect. There is a kiosk at the table and my husband and I played one or two games . We were surprised there was a $2.99 charge. The first game was already in progress and we started it on the fifth question out of 10 we then played one more game. Frankly, we didn't notice there was a fee for the initial games like that, but we probably just didn't look at it closely, but just for others to be aware so they're not surprised by the charge. read more

When going to an establishment like Cheddar's, one cannot expect first-class service. However, one should expect basic service, kindness, and tasty food. If you are lucky, you will get more than that. This is exactly what you get when going to this Cheddar's. When we first walked in, I asked if we could be seated near an outlet (on a road trip and had to do some work on my laptop). The hostess was very patient and kind to find a table that worked for us. Secondly, Alyana was very nice and checked on us multiple times, which made us feel cared for. Also, any time we asked for something, we got it within an appropriate amount of time. Thirdly, the food was tasty! I love me a Panera run, but this would have cost the same, and the food was better and heartier. Overall, a fine environment, especially if you love food like this and don't have as high of expectations as you should have for a Ruth's Chris. :) read more

This place never disappoints! Good food and good service. They serve you complimentary honey butter croissants that are out of this world good. I ordered a Sangria Texas Frozen Swirl and it was quite refreshing. A little strong at first but once it starts melting it's really good. For my entree I went with the 6 oz top sirloin with mashed potatoes and buttered corn. My steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The sides were also good. Good service but everything else was one star. Filthy floors, sticky furniture, and you can see dusty fixtures and decorations if you look up. The food is all filled with carbs and loaded with cheese. Portions are huge which I guess for some is a good thing but I'd rather have just enough well prepared and healthy food. Our server was 5 star because she was attentive and nice. I used about 10 wet wipes to clean off the high chair and table to even feel partially comfortable letting my kids touch anything. read more

We've been here in the past, and by chain restaurant standards, it's typically not bad. But our last two visits were just not good. Food was *greasy*, and in some cases barely edible. Fried food is what it is, but you can fry it hot enough to minimize grease and drain the excess oil off. Last visit, batch of croissants were flat and underbaked. Montecristo fried too dark and absolutely soaked through with grease. Ate 1/4 and quit. Country fried steak over battered (in some places an inch thick) and greasy. Going to have to take a break from Cheddar's. This location has really gone downhill. read more

Came in for lunch 11/18/2025 after shopping at Bass Pro Shop, and was seated right away since the establishment was almost empty...great time for a late lunch! Drink order was coffee and water x2 and a root beer. 2 coffees came out, 1 water, and a Coke. Made an appetizer order which came out fairly quickly. Our waitress seemed new, which I am perfectly okay with, but honestly, clueless and seemed very "off".. tired perhaps. We ordered our entrees about 15 minutes after arrival. After we asked 2 times, we finally got our 2 waters, but now our coffee is empty. We sat there for almost an hour. No food, no coffee and now out of water. Waitress comes back, we inquire about our food, which she says will be out soon; will bring more drinks. This isn't very cool. "Would you like to speak with a manager"? Yep. Our food comes out and its okay, really. I have zero complaints about the food, its quality or the temperature in which it came out. My friend never did get his side salad with his meal. Waitress comes back out. Can we please see the manager. "He didn't come out yet, he brought the food?" Ok, so the food came out, but this gentleman looked like a server, training our waitress. We are again out of drinks and we asked her. Finally the manager comes out; we have been here about 75 minutes by this time. Spoke to the manager, she apologized for everything. She is going to make it right, blah blah. We heard the whole story. Can I get you guys anything. Water!!!!! please. She says that I can do. I never got my water. Waitress comes out with 2 coffees and a coke. lol. At this point, you're not mad or angry any longer; how much worse can this get? We waited for our bill after we asked for it. Never got it, so we used the little kiosk on the table. $5 was taken off our bill. Five. Please be mindful that this has absolutely nothing to do with money at all. I left cash on the table and we left. Like I said, the place was not crowded at all and there appeared to be plenty of staff available. People around us, who came in after us, had already eaten and left. So why us? Eh, why not I suppose. This was actually the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant establishment in my 52 years. The service, the staff, and above all the manager should all be fired on the spot, but I guess at the end of the day, the doors need to open. I would never ever write a review on any person/establishment, but I am not happy at all. I was seriously considering calling and or writing corporate office, but for what? Possibly a free meal? Truth be told, I wouldn't eat there again for 20 free meals, nor would I drive the 90 minutes to specifically go there and eat. Next time I am there, Sheetz is down the street or Chick Fil A is right next door. Whomever decides to read this: I truthfully hope that I am the odd man out. My husband and I stopped over here for lunch after hearing so much about how they make their food from scratch. We got there shortly after it opened and we were seated right away. We were greeted by a waitress who brought us a couple of honey butter croissants. She took our drink orders as well as the food. She said it would be out shortly. While we were waiting we each ate a croissant. They were very good and of course a bit messy considering the honey poured over it. I was surprised that we were not given side plates to put them on but we managed nevertheless. I got to look all around the restaurant liked the vibe. Above us a palm leaf paddle fan that rotated. The walls were wooden giving you a more upscale effect. Behind us was an aquarium with different fish in it to entertain the kids. I did notice everywhere they were different professional grade photos of the surrounding area and in the seating area that contained the full bar there were photos of sports legends. We got our food fairly quickly. I had the Key West chicken and shrimp which came over a bed of rice and Teriyaki sauce. It came with two sides in this case I had broccoli and carrots to go with it. I enjoyed it but found the chicken a little difficult to cut in some places. My husband had the Buffalo chicken wrap with fries. He told me he liked it and let me sample one of the fries. Was just an ordinary French fry to me but otherwise ok. I noticed they really like to season their food. We were debating about dessert but since I had heard about their soup I decided to try a cup of the loaded potato soup as well. The soup is loaded with potatoes along with bacon and cheese-so good! Ziosk stations are placed at every table if you want to use the system to order food, pay your check by card, or play games. Cash payments are made directly to the waitress. We had a wonderful waitress who was very attentive to our needs. I figured because this place is so popular they need to have their dishes pretty much ready at hand to allow for the turnover. They were already starting to get crowded as we were leaving. They donate food to food banks if there is excess. They have an app which enables you to get on the waitlist if you are coming in and you can order food with it. We were really pleased with our lunch and was glad it wasn't an overly long drive from our house. Our journey began with two ambulances at the entrance a hint to the possible impact cheddars would have on our cholesterol. As we entered we were greeted with a welcoming clean atmosphere and a pleasant host. We were taken to our table immediately and were faced with the tough decision of which delicacies we would be indulging in. Decisions were made and we started with the melt in your mouth honey butter croissants. At this point I knew I was in good hands and the best was yet to come. What followed next was a jaw dropping tower of hand battered onion rings that blew our minds. If the food wasn't enough there was some entertainment as well a server red in the face ranting about the possibility of beating a fellow co worker. I felt right at home, a perfect distraction before our entrées arrived. Finally the main event, with little room left in our bellies we began to devour plenty of fried fare. Fish shrimp and chicken all covered in a perfectly crispy batter, it was Devine. Cheddars changed my life for the better today and will continue to hold space in my mind until I return. We stopped in at Cheddar's while on route to Oglebay Festival of Lights. There was a bit of a wait and we gave our number and they said they would call us. We ran to Sheetz to get gas and a coffee. We headed back and in just a bit longer they called us and we headed in. We got a table in the backroom. The place was pretty nicely laid out and they were observing all social distancing and post pandemic protocols. Tables sat every other and everything cleaned and sanitized. We got a few apps and the most amazing croissants while waiting on our food. Our server was friendly and welcoming. We didn't have to wait too long on refills and the food came pretty quickly. We really enjoyed everything we got. All our food was hot and fresh. Prepared just right though I wouldn't recommend their mash... it is nothing to write home about. Still ok for restaurant food. My Country Fried Chicken was fantastic. My dad enjoyed the Monte Cristo and my wife had a steak and chicken tenders. She wasn't thrilled with the steak but the chicken tenders were good. The kiddos enjoyed Penne Pasta Alfredo and Grilled Chicken. Overall the food was good, the service was decent and we would come back here again. The fish tank over separating the dining room and bar was pretty fantastic as well. My kids loved checking it out. They sanitized between customers and made sure everything was handled safely. My first time here and we shared some Spinach dip and loaded potato soup and chicken pecan salad. The Salad is huge and we couldn't finish it after the soup and dip. The soup was very good. The dip had a kick to it, not to hot, but it gets you later. Service was good, clean, and it is a big restaurant. I'm a traveling first responders Team here to help with the floods. My crew and I are living out of hotels and just wanted a decent meal after a 10 hour work day. I ordered take out from here asked for silverware did not get it and to top it off it looks like the chef grabbed a half fist full of rice through it in the box on top of a dry small piece of salmon and 4 tiny dry small shrimp.
