Finding Perkiomen Animal Hospital .. was one of my greatest blessings.. Without going into how blessed I feel& why I love them so much.. I won't mention the name of hospital I used for my furry family.. Prior to finding ( Angels).. In my eyes.. as everyone there, Dr Powers has treated my both dogs.. since pups..as well as her staff , when she was not there.. My point is.. they are all so caring, the staff as well as the Doctors, treat these animals as if " (they were treating their own") with Love , kindness, honesty & empathy~ I just feel so blessed to have found them.. I found them , @ least 9-10 years ago & with such love, & care for my animals , no matter what was wrong with them? They were treated with love, respect, as if ( they were treating their own).. I've always felt..I've always felt Doctors that help the sick,& the injured , In our furry family... Our animals need a Doctor as well.. for the past 9-10 years my animals have gotten to share time.. with Dr Powers & Staff.. as they do get sick, & have accidents..Always left there happy.. ( so did my dogs... lol. They truly didn't mind going. )..well yesterday my Roxi.. was being treated for Colin Cancer, also a Staph infection. ? I'll never know, but with this bad summer with heat & humidity. I believe she was touched by some poisonous trees)..within 14 days it cleared right up! With prescribed meds.well she didn't quite make it full 2 weeks.. Her skin infection brought her in to see Dr Powers , but it was Dr Powers , with her exam, found her cancerous tumor,..& we went from there .. she was on the proper meds administered by Dr Powers to help my Roxi itching so bad..With that being said.. They are in my eyes ..Called by God to be in this profession. .. it's really not for everyone. ( I've had bad experiences in past)..Never here @ Perkiomen !) I want to Thank Dr Powers , all the Drs on call, & all the staff. As they care. It's so important when your dealing with your dogs final days, months or in my case hours.., I have really no words for how Special Dr Powers is, her assistants, the whole staff in General..They all showed such love & compassion to us & our little Momma Roxi .. it was time for me to let her cross the rainbow bridge..I spent hours there, spending time with her, before, during & not to much after. , I felt Dr Powers went through my pain as I was ( a mess) all day after I left my Roxi..I miss her so much, my bed is empty, not as empty as my heart ,.But let me just say This would be the only place I would ever bring any animal. And I can't say Thank you enough to Dr Powers & all the Other Drs.& Just everyone there, the Staff as well, they all are so very loving & caring, I really can't imagine anyone going anywhere else? Unless they truly didn't know they are there. As I didn't. But they have been a blessing for me & my animals , Thank you for all the great years of takin care of my dogs , till it was their time for me to let them go.. Hard as it's always been for me.. ( not my first rodeo") but it never gets easy for me either..But I Love animals to much to be selfish , because I don't want to let go.. I couldn't let my Roxi suffer ~.. A Million Thank you's to This Hospital. Dr Powers & all the staff.. ..I believe ( each of you , are handpicked by God to help our furry family. When they are in need)...I'm forever grateful for Perkiomen Animal Hospital.. but the hospital is filled with The Best of The Best.. My sweet mini labradoodle Bo Bear was scheduled to have surgery to become fixed on Thursday, October 19th. The staff handling our check-in were wonderful. Knowing I was clearly nervous for him and seeing he was clearly upset too, they let me go back with him which was very kind and compassionate to not only me but my scared dog. I received consistent phone calls updates on Bo's condition throughout the day which was really comforting. When I picked Bo up from the hospital, he was surprisingly normal just a little groggy. I asked for some pain meds as my previous experiences with this type of surgery with my other dogs was, they were really uncomfortable and in pain for a few days. WHAT A DIFFERENCE WITH THIS VET PRACTICE! Bo never needed his cone or a single med, as he never bothered with the sutured spot and showed any signs of distress, he was totally himself later that evening! You could never have known he had any kind of surgery. It was remarkable and really comforting. I was honestly astonished at how well he bounced back and felt I had to call Dr. Elizabeth the next day and thank her for amazing surgical skills and for the care he received while at the hospital. As usual, Dr. Elizabeth called me back shortly after I asked to talk to her, and she was really glad to hear Bo was doing great. This Veterinarian practice is 2nd to none - I mean none! Professional staff especially Becky and just a wonderful place to take our little furry babies. Really recommend them for everything including grooming. By far best vet around. Highly recommend. Having been using them for last 5 years for both of my dogs. I have found them to be reasonably if not lower priced than other vets in the area, and much more accommodating in getting appointments within a reasonable amount time in comparison to other area vets. Until recently have been using for routine wellness and infrequent illness visits typically related to long term skin/ allergy issues both dogs. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago one of my dogs had his first seizure in the middle of the night, forcing me to take him to nearby emergency vet who hospitalized him for a few days due to the severity of his seizure and subsequent effects on his body, he was discharged too early with continued health issues that should have been addressed. Perkiomen was able to see him the following morning and has been taking the best care of him since. We have been back and forth to the vet almost daily with a short hospital stay in between; ALL the staff has been amazing from the front desk to the vet techs, and I can't say enough about EACH of the vets we have seen. They have treated my dog and myself as if he was one of their own. If you are looking for an honest vet Perkiomen Animal Hospital is wonderful. read more

Hello, Last night was the first time for me at Perkiomen Animal Hospital. I have never been to a place like that before. At no point did I feel like a "means to an end for PAH", an all too common occurrence at other vets and hospitals. The place just exudes love and passion; I also was pleasantly surprised at the prices, which made me feel like you were concerned more with the care of my pet than making a profit. The way you were able to quickly bring us in and show our furry family member the kind of passion and care that you did earned you our business for life. We really appreciate it. Most places I've been to in the past seem cold with anxious energy, even from the animals; nothing like that at your hospital. The doctor explained several lumps would need to be removed and provided an estimate prior to surgery. After reviewing the work she was suggesting be done we scheduled it for the following week. I got updates during the surgery from the staff and was called back in the afternoon with a final update that Gyspy was doing great and could be picked up later that Tuesday early evening. When I arrived at the office they took me right back into the exam room where the doctor and assistant came in with Gypsy and showed me the 4 sites & how to care for the areas. Dr then gave me medication & scheduled appointment for two days later so the drain tube could be removed. The doctor even showed me how to use the leash so it didn't rub against the stitches on side of her left neck & under her right arm. We were in & out when the drain tube was removed and the doctor said she was very pleased how she was already healing. We started taking our little Pitbull Boxer puppy to Perkiomen Animal Hospital in 2010 when we adopted her from Last Chance Ranch and continued to take her over the last 15 1/2 years even though we moved 45 minutes away. Coco passed away yesterday, and it was a day filled with sorrow and tears. Dr. Powers and her assistant were so compassionate and provided us with the reassurance that she lived a full life filled with love and happiness and she was going to place of peace. All of the staff at the Hospital have always been so knowledgeable, kind and understanding of our pets needs and I can't thank them enough for everything they have done over the years not only for Coco but our other dogs and small animals. They will see your animal as a family pet who is loved and they will always treat them with respect and will do whatever they can to keep them healthy and happy. They are the BEST! That's why I am willing to travel 45 minutes to get there even though there are plenty of other Vets closer to where I live. They were the only ones who could handle my previous dog Darla--a senior Jack Russell terrier rescue who had lots of health and 'attitude' issues. Levon, our current rescue dog, is a sweetheart but a big baby so there is no group of Vets I trust as much as the team at Perkiomenville, including all the great Vet Techs (Tina is the BEST!) and the WONDERFUL gals at the reception desk--especially Joan, Cheryl and Jen! Plus, they are currently doing a FANTASTIC job of managing my pet's needs during the COVID-19 social distancing--with a terrific system put in place very quickly to keep care humming along but with minimal contact for the safety of all. I am feeling very grateful this week. We woke up on Monday and Lady could not walk. She was shaking and wining in pain. I was a mess and called the vet. Without hesitation they told me to bring her right over. They did X-Rays and thankfully they did not find anything serious. Lady is 12 years and I couldn't help but think about the decision that i might have to make. Lady pulled her back out and was ut on Steriods and pain meds. 2 days later and she is already back to her old self. A little slower but getting back to normal. Why am i righting this?? Because I have the most amazing Vet ever. They take care of my baby like she is a human. Dr. Powers is a Rock Star! I have an anxious malamute who I brought to Perkiomen Animal Hospital at the recommendation of a friend. I love the way Dr. Meresca has taken the time with him to help him overcome his fears. He is a performance dog and is involved with agility and dry land mushing and has shown great progress in both of these areas as well. The facility is always clean and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. If they do not know the answers they will get them. I also have an 11 year old Border Collie who bloated. Dr. Meresca was not sure if she could save him or not. Not only is he alive today because of her teams skill and determination but he has just qualified for CPE Agility Nationals! I have been coming here since during covid when I had left a previous place I was going to. PAH is just fantastic! My Siberian Husky goes for cold lazor therapy once a week and he is doing amazing ! after one visit I could already tell what a difference it has made ! From the wonderful people at the front desk to the nurses , vet techs , the drs , to the people at the checkout always make me and my furbabies feel so well taken care of ! Perkiomen Animal Hospital has been very good for all our various pets over the past 17 years. I recently finally trapped a scrappy old feral male cat that I have been feeding outside for years. I dropped him off there and Dr. Levan saw him right away. She called me and came up with a treatment plan for all his bruises, ailments and mitey ears. I left him there for a week due to the snowstorm we had. They took great care of old Buster. He is looking much better and he has now decided that I may actually pet him. I wish I had taken him there years sooner. The ladies behind the desk are so wonderful I can't praise them enough. I wouldn't take any of my multiple animals anywhere else for care. read more

Dr. Balutis is absolutely incredible. Over the course of the past few years my one dog has had numerous health issues, many of which did not have the most optimistic outcomes. Dr. Balutis has always been upfront with me about his status, has always gone above and beyond to care for him, and has always made me feel like she was invested in his well-being. We never felt like we were alone or out of the loop in the process of his treatment. I have an extremely unique bond with my boy, and there is no one else I would trust to give him the absolute best care available and have on his team. Top notch staff and vets! Mr. Paddy loves being seen there. He has everyone wrapped around his Irish Setter paw. He receives pets, treats, and a warm welcome the minute he enters the place. When Mr. Paddy is under the weather, the vet meets him as a "big" dog on the floor to examine. The staff is gentle with him and even allows them to get his temperature when needed without a growl. Besides who can resist his "baby browns" that he flashes!!! They are an effective animal center who loving cares for all pets "children!" They work with you for the best care possible. Dr. Levan has been the most Amazing vet I have Ever met. She went Above and beyond to do everything possible to help our sick duck to live a happy comfortable life. We have been taking our dogs to Perkiomen Animal Hospital for nearly 30 years and have never been disappointed with the care and attention that they have given to our pets. We also have boarded our dogs with them frequently. We had a pair of rescued Lab/Rottweiler dogs for about 12 years. We live on 12 acres and the dogs rarely left our home. The only time we asked them to get in the car was to take them to the vet for an exam or boarding and they were always so excited to go. I own a cat that has numerous issues(diabetes, IBD and sometimes some hairball issues) and is also very picky sometimes when it comes to food. I have never left her alone for even more than a day and recently went on vacation for a week and needed to board her so that she would be in the care of people professionally trained and just in case anything happened she would already be at a vet office. I have to say I am absolutely ecstatic with how my babygirl was treated. She came home happy and healthy. The staff and doctors go well beyond expectations, and they truly care about our pets. Last night, Dr. Balutis provided a phone consultation for one of our horses while I waited for our equine vet to get to us for an injury! I think the entire staff was involved in that, and they must have been close to closing for the day. Recently, Dr. Levan provided expert surgery on our 14-year old dog, such that there were no after effects and Carly was completely healed; Dr. Levan was genuinely happy to see Carly happy and healthy. This isn't our usual vet, but we had an emergency with our dog late in the evening and called the closest place with an off hours number which was Perkiomen. The on call Doctor got back to us within minutes and was extremely kind and helpful. She talked us through figuring out what kind of care we should pursue and gave advice for best next steps. Without us even being patients I feel like we were treated so well and you could tell she had the best interests of our dog in mind. We like our regular vet but will definitely use Perkiomen for services as well going into the future. read more
