Very disappointed. We have been taking our 2 Pomeranians here for a long time. Never had an issue until this last time. Last week we dropped them off to get their normal cleaning and shave we do every other month. They are very cleans dogs. And only indoor dogs. They have white fur. When I brought them home I look down as they are on my lap like always and see little black dots running across their skin!! I have NEVER had any flea issues ever on any of my pets. They were INFESTED! I called in and they told me to bring them back in first thing in the morning to get a flea treatment. When we were there to drop them off the employee even said our dogs have never had fleas they were very clean dogs. So they keep them for an hour to do the treatment. Mind you I had to completely treat my house, wash all the doggy beds, spray my couches, rugs, vacuum everywhere. We have full tile thankfully. So we were called to pick them up.. the next morning they are covered AGAIN! they are everywhere. It was the weekend so of course we can't call them they are closed. I am so upset and just angry!! The money it has cost to treat my home, buying flea pills, the constant washes I have to give them now. It's a NIGHTMARE!!! They won't go away! And they didn't even offer our money back, or to get any kind of treatment for our home. And now my poor dogs are bit up everywhere. And I'm constantly feeling checking. And I'm still finding random ones on them! This is disgusting and I'm so upset with the way this situation was handled! Update: after treating our dogs, giving them flea medication, spraying our home we are still finding them!! We have NEVER HAD FLEAS EVER! And ever since we got them from their last appointment from here we CANNOT GET RID OF THEM! We are at our breaking point with this. And of course no one has contacted us regarding this situation. I used to love it here, but now.. DO NOT BRING YOUR Pets here... they don't care like I thought they did. read more

My family has been going here for many years. They've always done a great job with our dogs and our dogs feel safe going here. They're always able to accommodate us and if we're in a pinch with our schedule, they are always nice to try and squeeze us in. My husband has been going here for a lot longer than me--he's not happy with the price increase over the last couple of years but everywhere you go, the prices have increased. They really deserve 0 stars. We took our family cat in and when she came back she was lethargic all day which made me wonder if they gave her calming medication to groom her at their ease. I believe she was badly mistreated and probably drugged to calm her down maybe overdose.... They were supposed to trim her nails. She came back with a few nails missing! Naina and everybody at Perky Pooch are fantastic! We've been bringing our dog, Stella in every few weeks to get her nails and her quicks shorter, because Stella refuses to let me do her nails, but she doesn't mind much when Naina does it. Now, Stella's nails and quicks are doing so much better. Naina has been so accommodating, even offering to stay a few minutes after hours once so I could bring Stella in at a time that worked after my work schedule changed slightly. Super nice staff but unfortunately it's not enough for me to come back. I was a little hesitant to bring my dog here since the reviews aren't great but someone personally recommended them to me. I have my normal groomer which I love but they've been booked the last few times I needed to take him. Like I said earlier, the staff is super nice but I was not very happy with the grooming. He has these 2 weird shaved spots behind his ears that look like bald spots and a long mullet looking thing in between the 2 bald areas. Also, his appointment took 7 1/2 hours! My number 1 request was to, "please NOT shave his nose fur up". I like the puffy round puppy cut around his snout. I stated how I've had groomers shave that part before and he looks like a little old man with whiskers. I couldn't stress enough how I did not want this done. They assured me they wouldn't and would just clean around his eyes. Well, his nose fur was cut. He looks like a little old man now. The last time a groomer did this it took a few months before it started to grow back. It should be very interesting to see how his fur starts growing back since he's so patchy. Except for his face, everything else isn't visible to the naked eye so it's not horribly bad. I was just really hoping I would like them since they're so much closer to me but guess I can't win em all. I'll just have to make sure I book his appointments weeks in advance with my groomer to avoid "trying new places". read more

Don't spend your money here, they don't deserve your business. I brought my frenchie to this establishment in March of 2024 and will never return. I took my pooch to get her cleaned which means bath, nails, butt gland, and teeth cleaned. Two kids run the front desk while the older lady (owner) does the jobs on the pets. So, they give us a price and we say okay and we are told that our pooch is next after the dog they are working on so we decide to wait. As we are waiting you can hear the lady yelling at another dog because she won't stay still. My girlfriend then tells me in a whispering voice that the lady sounds like she's impatient and maybe we shouldn't let her do our pooch's nails cause if she starts to yell at our pooch she will stress her out. So, my girlfriend tells the kids in the front desk to advice the lady not to cut her nails. By this time the lady was already bathing our dog and comes out of the back very aggressive and with a loud voice starts to say "WHY DONT YOU WANT ME TO DO THE NAILS?" my girlfriend then tells her because you sound stressed out and I don't want you screaming at my pet. The lady then says well that is part of the package and starts to walk to the back. That is when my gf told her that if she touches our dog's nails against our wishes, we are going to have some major problems. The lady was very irritated and said well then you need to take your dog and grabs our dog from the back room and attempts to give her to us dipping wet straight out of the bath and my gf tells me to call the cops. As soon as the lady hears this she takes our dog back to dry her up and then brings her to us dry. I grabbed my pooch and threw the money on the counter and then the lady said "I don't think we are a good fit for your pet" and I said no sh*t. My gf then told her that we are gonna write a review about this and the lady said get in line. So, here we are as promised. I hope that this review gives pet owners a clear view of the shenanigans that go on in this place without you having to experience it yourselves. I took my little girl in on Friday to have her nails done and her glands expressed. I have taken her here for those services several times and I waited there, as I always do, and I could see the groomer. She grabbed her razor and shaved my girl's backside which I would have asked her not to do if I had been asked or informed. I had to run errands, so I took my girl back home and left. Friday evening, I noticed she was scooting. I was surprised because she just had her glands expressed. Saturday her butt area was red and inflamed so I googled what I could and should do. Neosporin was recommended as was coconut oil and I had both, so I tried the Neosporin since I thought it was the better choice. She didn't like it at all and acted as though it hurt. I stayed home all weekend worried about her and tried to keep her bottom clean and medicated with Neosporin and/or coconut oil. I can tell she has been uncomfortable, to say the least, and I have never seen her scoot so much, pretty much continually. Today I called the groomer to inform them I wasn't happy and to ask what they would recommend for a razor burn. She asked me to bring my girl in so she could have a look, and I did. She proceeded to tell me that she doesn't have razor burn and that she did not use a razor on my dog. I watched her do it! I couldn't believe she became irate and accused me of lying about her using a razor when I saw her do it. I am mad at myself for taking my girl in to have those services since she was injured there. I am upset that I was accused of lying when I was just trying to give them a heads up about asking to use a razor and find out how to treat my girl. I do not understand some people at all. Adults should be able to own their mistakes and give a simple apology! read more

I took my small dog in today to get groomed I usually pay $50 for my bigger dog including mouth cleaning at this specific place but when I took my smaller dog in today I got charged $71 just because he was not cooperating mind you he did not get his teeth cleaned. Most importantly my dog has not been himself after this grooming at all very much seems like they gave him something to calm him without my permission. I'm very upset I got no notice that my pet was not cooperating. I would have rather picked up my pet and took him elsewhere with more trained groomers. $71 for a basic groom is outrageous and if your dog is hyper keep in mind your pet will not be their usual self after getting groomed at this horrible place. read more

The last time I was in there was last month which I took my reg dog which they didn't trim the length of his ears and left short hairs in his ears that were driving him nuts so I had to cut them, then my old dog went for his first time there, I told them his nails needed cutting since he was getting it hooked in his collar but they didn't even touch his nails. I've taken my Dog Princess to the Perky Pooch on various occasions and I've always been very happy with the work. But I picked her up and she looked fine but when I got home I noticed both of her ears were bleeding. I'm very disappointed that my dog was injured/ cut, I understand that it happens and that it was probably an accident but as the owner I should have been notified when I picked her up from the groomers and this just wasn't acceptable. My little baby is in pain and now I have to spend more money to take her to the veterinarian due to the blood building up and getting hard around her ear she won't even let me clean around the ear area due to the pain. Just be aware, I really wouldn't want this to happen to any other dogs. read more
