Being I REQUESTED him . An then waited 3weeks for the appt .. just to be talked to like I'm stupid then my dog gets bald ! I asked for her to be dyed pink , she's purple and bald. our last visit her hair was messed up I didn't complain -- I just simply waited for her hair to grow out . They took my dog in as a walk in. Grateful for that! After 3hrs I called to check in on my pup. The first girl that answered transferred me to another gentleman. He was tripping over his words not knowing what to tell me. Said my dog was still waiting (walk-in), I asked how many dogs were ahead and he said they'd call me 15min before she's ready. Not even acknowledging my question. Lol. He again placed me on hold and came back saying my dog was next. Lastly he said she was being deshed/dried and they'd call when she was ready. I called to confirm my dogs appointment the morning of (mind you I made this appointment a week in advance) supposably was not on their schedule, was told to walk in since they couldn't find my appointment. Walked in 15 minutes later, did NOT even get acknowledged by the lady sitting at her desk on her phone for about three minutes. I had to call out for her since her phone was more important, she then came to the front, wasn't notified by the receptionist that he told me to walk in. She then said that she couldn't give my dog a bath because he was "too matted" as I had just brushed him myself. Was running my own fingers through is hair, she told me she would have to SHAVE my dog if I wanted their service. My dog did not need to be shaved, all he needed was a bath & a trim. She refused to do anything to my dog unless I agreed for her to shave him. Highly DO NOT recommend this place, not my first bad experience either. We had been taking our dog here since he was a puppy, so for two years. They had always done a good job. They have great prices. They also tried to correct their mistake. That's why I am giving them 2 stars. Most recently we took him and yeah they just ruined him completely. They cut all his fur off when all we asked was for a bath, brush and trim. They even asked at the front desk if that was all we wanted and we confirmed. Then they cut off all his fur. He's a golden retriever so you can imagine all the beautiful fur that was chopped off our boy. He looked horrible and it made me sad/mad Everytime I looked at him so I called almost a week after I took him in and told them about the job they did. They said we asked for a shave down which is 100% NOT true. I feel like there's a drop down menu to note the service requested and the person up front selected the wrong service. They kept saying "we just do as we're told" instead of owning up to the mistake. We know we did not ask for a shave down. Asking for that and a bath and trim are completely different. They definitely tried to gaslight me and I told them they were wrong. They then asked us to bring him in to fix him up and correct their mistake, which I appreciated, but when it came down to it I realized they were just going to shave him down even more which I did not want. I would have preferred a refund, but with the way they spoke with me on the phone it felt like they would not have offered it. He's a golden retriever and his long fur is what makes him beautiful. Now he just looks sad lol We're just very disappointed with the service and the way they handled the call when I complained instead of taking accountability. I took my dog to get bathed and groomed here and she ended up with ringworm. I believe it is because they never clean the tubs with soap and it is only water. I called Diva Dog,Thursday, 28 March 2024. I spoke to a young man by the name by the name of Raymond, I was told the soonest appointment that would be available would be today, April 4, 2024. I set an appointment for my dog for 12 noon. I arrived on time for my appointment I was told that the service would take roughly 3 to 4 hours. while dropping her off, I inquired if she would be ready around four or 4:30 PM I was told yes, give or take upon arrival to diva dog at 4:55 PM. I walked into the establishment and I could immediately hear my baby crying. Only thing that had been done to her is that she was given a bath. I inquired don't you close at 5 PM I was told yes, but we don't leave until the last dog leaves here. The traffic on Bear Valley Amethyst is a nightmare due to construction. I purposefully stayed out towards Diva Dog so that I would be on that side of town to pick my fur baby up. I received not one phone call as a courtesy to let me know that there had been an emergency and they were running behind. I have never dropped my baby off for almost 5 hours and not received a service. The only credit that I will give them is that they did not charge me for her bath I would not be as frustrated if I at least received a phone call notifying me that the groomer was running behind. I wanted to like this business really bad as I was referred by a friend. I recognize that I am a little bit older and set in my ways, however, customer service is something that will always leave a lasting impression. I just was not pleased with the lack of good customer service. The problem could've been solved with a phone call. That said I'm sorry we're running behind. What is the point in having an appointment that takes over 4 hours? I felt like they were overbooked, I understand that things happen. However, if I were running late to pick her up, I would've phoned the business to let them know. I would never assume that keeping someone waiting for hours without communication would be acceptable. I had scheduled an appointment last minute and they had the option to say no, but decided to take our dog in anyways. The person that originally decided to take care of my dog left the second we got there and the employees there were very rude. Majority were on their phones and the person in charge at the front desk sneezed on his hand and gave me a paper to sign. We paid for a bath and specifically a nail trim. No nail trim! Horrible experience. The cut was not great but the worst part is what they did to my dogs ear. First it was just what appeared to be ear wax leaking from her ear. Then it turned into blood. Her ear is now really red and swollen. I also noticed when we got home that she couldn't really open one of her eyes which made me think she probably had hair in it from the cut so I rinsed her off and noticed it was really red as well.
