From when we first called PermaDry regarding french drains in the yard and an improved sump system in 2015, to a major basement flood mitigation project in 2020, and through our last issue-free annual maintenance appointment in 2023, we've always thought that these were the folks to call. We've recommended them to countless friends and relatives over the years whenever homeowners in Seattle inevitably need help dealing with drainage issues. We've sung their praises to people on forums seeking help finding the best company to help them deal with drainage and repair jobs. Never again. Even if we set aside the fact that our last annual service appointment took almost 9 months (with four reschedules and three no-shows) to actually happen, this company is no longer even able to bill correctly for work that has been completed. We've now gotten three invoices in a row that are not only the incorrect amount, but they're for a bill that we paid in full back in February. They're not even system glitches for an old bill in the system: someone literally created a brand new invoice for the wrong amount and for services that we've already paid for, and they did it after we paid in full. No one ever answers the phone. No one calls back. We just keep getting texts with this wrong invoice over and over. The last response we had about this was in an email on April 1st, and all it said was that Ryan (the owner) had recently fired the back-end staff person who'd screwed up all the scheduling for 2024 and that he'd asked another person to handle the invoices. No apology, no attempt to resolve, and (most importantly) no follow up since then from anyone at PermaDry to actually fix the incorrect invoice that we keep receiving. We've stuck with the absolutely terrible customer service for over a year now because we didn't want to invalidate the warranty we have for the work they've done for us, and we've tried to have patience since they've done great work in the past. At this point, though, it's probably going to be better in the long run for us to just let that go and move on to picking someone else for future household needs. I spoke to an employee (Felicia?) after sending an email (their phone does not work) and she said she'd get back to me. Perma Dry installed a basement waterproofing system in our home over 20 years ago. We recently had a disastrous flooding event in our home due to a multitude of causes. Part of our system includes a sump pump to evacuate water from a basin so it does not flood our basement. Due to a power failure and a back-battery that expired our basement flooded in spite of the drainage system. This was obviously very frustrating. Although our back-up sump pump was no longer under warranty, Perma Dry's owner, Ryan, went above and beyond to help us out. We were certainly not the easiest customers to deal with after the flood because we were extremely overwhelmed by what had happened. While Ryan could have chosen to let us deal with it on our own, he really stepped up and made things right. We had Perma Dry install an outdoor French drain system as well as a crawl space drain and sump pump a few years back. We have had them come out annually (as they recommended) for sump pump maintenance. Over the last couple of years, their customer service has deteriorated dramatically. I made an appointment for them to come out last month for my annual maintenance. I called to confirm the date and time the week before, leaving two voice mails and sending two emails. I received no reply. PermaDry is notoriously difficult to get ahold of, even in the middle of the day. Most calls just go to voice mail, but no one ever returns them. The morning they were supposed to arrive, I received a voice mail letting me know they weren't coming due to a personal issue the technician had. They sent a follow up email asking to reschedule. I rescheduled for today, but again no one showed up. This time there wasn't even a phone call from the office or a technician. I've called their number 3 times and left a voice mail, but they are closed until Monday. I guess once they realized they weren't goint to make my appointment window this afternoon, they just decided not to come at all. I wasted two PTO days waiting for a scheduled service that never arrived. The lack of communication and customer service has been really shocking. Going forward, we will be using an alternate company for our drainage issues. read more

This is a strong company as evidenced by the other reviews here. We have had a pretty good experience working with them. I had to take out 2 stars as we are still finishing up the project, and did run into issues which is why i didn't give them a full 4 star just yet. I'll have to update my review once the project is complete to rate them completely. This is just our experience and i wanted to share as yelp reviews have always helped me get a better picture of a business and what to expect. We had recently bought a house and in Dec/January found water leaking into our finished basement guest bedroom - soaking up the carpet. Pulling back the carpet ourselves we had few inches of water at the edges of the outward facing walls pooling in one corner. All our downspouts feed into a drainage system and directly into the sewer, so that was ruled out. Weird part here was that the previous owners had left us a note saying that the downspout/perimeter drainage work had been done by Permadry, but permadry had no record of it when we called them. We mentioned the information we had and found that is was done by someone who apparently used to work for Permadry at one point as an estimator but no longer was in their employ as they had problems with him taking on contracts on his own. We had Aaron from Permadry come in to diagnose our issue, and were advised to take down all the drywall in the finished bedroom. We hired STS Construction(refer sep3erate review) for all the interior work. Aaron was friendly and great to work with. He came by a second time after the drywall removal to take a look and give us an estimate. And then a third time as we had more questions and wanted to weigh our options of gravity drain vs sump pump with him. The issue had been diagnosed as rising ground water. Permadry's crew came in for a full day and finished the concrete drilling, installing of drain and pouring back the concrete. This was a professional job with plastic sheets put up to keep the dust away from the rest of the house. Octavio was the friendly foreman we had on the job. This was done around Feb 20 time frame and we had no complaints. As a reviewer mentioned, their office staff are not very efficient, so making a payment, and getting the contract etc were a little difficult. These might have improved since. The contractor then came back in to finish up the walls, paint, lay back the carpet and bath tile etc. This was completed in early March. First week of April, we found the edges of the carpet soaked once again in the room and called Permadry. We had some issues getting hold of someone to talk to and getting them to hear us out. Understandably it was very upsetting to start back at square one after all the money and time spent. To their credit and after multiple phone calls - Jack Calvo the owner eventually did come to see our house to look at the issue in person in mid April. He was polite, friendly and reassured us. There might be more diagnosis needed and removal of the new drywall as well take another look. We are still waiting on trying to get fit into their schedule again for either diagnosis of the issue or the work to fix it. This is the harrowing part as we have already paid for the previous work and aren't new customers anymore. Its currently been almost 2 months since we got in touch with them about the recurrence of the leak- so we ware waiting for them to come back and fix it for good. soon. I understand that these things happen and dont hold it against them as i dont know enough about drainage/waterproofing and trust the experts to take care of it. However, i do expect them to fix the issue confidently and permanently.I dont mind a bit of waiting, but its getting very long, making a 1 month project stretch to almost 5!!!! I am confident they will follow up on their guarantee, i wish it would be more timely and that they had better scheduling and communication to back that. They did follow up on their guarantees and fix the issue. But we still had to bear the burden of the cost of redoing the new drywall, new carpet that got damaged and cleanup yet again within the span of 6 months due to the rework. I hired Permadry back in 2015 to design and install a drain system in my basement. Our home has a problem with underground water flowing down from Somerset through our yard towards Coal Creek. After several years, two pipes became clogged with ivy roots seeking moisture in the dry months of the year. So we called Permadry to come over to clear the drains with water jetting. The man who arrived to the job was named Aspen, and he spend over 4 1/2 hours working on clearing the pipes and scoping them with a camera snake to make sure the lines were clear. Aspen worked constantly and cheerfully the entire time and really went above and beyond for us, all for a flat fee that was reasonable and affordable. When I tried to tip him as he finished he politely refused, telling me that wasn't necessary. He was truly and classy guy and I'm grateful to him and very glad I called Permadry. read more

A very poor experience. First of all we called Perma Dry after we bought the house we live in now to follow up on a warranty since they were the last ones to do drainage work here. They weren't able to retrieve the job to follow up on that. We let that slide and had to make an appointment time to meet at the house to look at what work needed to be done. They failed to meet their appointment time and day. They tried to call just outside the appointment window twice but never bothered to leave messages. We double checked our voice mail to make sure it was working which it was after seeing two missed calls. We called their number three times and left three different messages with no return calls at all. Looks like this isn't unusual for this company going off of other reviews. Perhaps they shouldn't be in business if they are too preoccupied with their lives. read more

My house has been regularly flooded at the crawl space during raining months for over a decade. The builder gave us a manual sump pump and have been using for over a decade and finally decided to have a waterproof company to solve my home's flooding issue. I've called about four companies to give a bid on the waterproofing project and finally decided to go with Perma Dry. Their bid is in the medium price range but I like the comprehensive drainage drawing by Keith. I also like the sump pump located right at my crawl space entrance for easy access. Finally, I got the project scheduled on early May, 2018. Eber and his team did the project well and with his leadership, finished in two days as scheduled. In addition, I like Perma Dry's Lifetime Warranty although they do have conditions and wanted to upsell additional maintenance services of the sump pump but I did not opt in since my old manual sump pump has been holding up for more than a decade. Also please note that I have to hire an electrician to install electric outlet to the sump pump as PermaDry do not have an electrician to complete the entire project. I did have a 5% Off via Angie's List but later found out that they do give 10% Off but they wouldn't honor giving me another 5% Off. We decided to encapsulate our crawlspace and went with Perma Dry because they offered concrete for crawlspaces and sealing it up underneath the crawlspace completely. Their sales representative came in, check out our crawlspace, and asked us what we wanted. There was a long email exchange to make sure everything got taken care of. The first quote received from them talked about open crawlspace, not what we wanted. We had to wait a couple more weeks till we heard back from them with a new quote for a closed crawlspace. Finally, after receiving the final quote we scheduled. Workers show up and start working on our crawlspace. We noticed they haven't started cleaning out the old insulation. When my bf asked them about it they knew nothing of that sort. They had to call our sales rep and confirm which resulted in a change order and increase in price. Work was scheduled to be completed in 3 days which was not the case at all. Our crawlspace vents were also needed to be sealed which workers also knew nothing about. Eventually, my bf called them and that's when he got to talk to Ryan who is an owner. Lots of issues were talked about like areas missing concrete (um hello mice proof?). Insulation boards were not attached to the wall and just sitting in concrete (which Ryan explained our walls were too wet to attach them, in that case, shouldn't you pour concrete floor first, then seal and dry the place before trying to attach insulation boards to the wall? smart). They forgot to order our dehumidifier (which resulted in a 3 week waiting period with a very cold house since they took our subfloor insulation but vents were not sealed, epic heating cost bill yay). All the messes ups Ryan blamed on his sales rep (about the things that were clearly missed like cleaning out old insulation) and said he will be punished (right cuz apparently I enjoy an owner telling me his people gonna get punished for mistakes they did instead of owning up to them?). Finally, the day comes for them to install the dehumidifier and close the vents. Even on the last day they still fucked it up. In the beginning, when we talked to their sales rep he said our crawlspace has no chance of flooding so we do not need a sump pump. But my bf insisted on just putting in the hole with a plastic bucket to set up sump pump later if we needed to. Anyways they routed the dehumidifier drain hose right into that hole...that if I haven't asked my bf to go check on it would have filled up with water and then overflowed into the crawlspace floor. I guess this is what you call waterproofing done right. In the end, they cost us more for less work than other bids we received and left my outdoor area in a mess. There was insulation all over my yard and in my plants, batteries, duct tape, bandages etc. They even left their tools. However workers did show up on time and did not miss a day. Considering how much of information workers did not know, I think there is some seriously communication problems between management and employees. read more

Mike and his team did an excellent job on my crawlspace, which is a tight squeeze. The space had a problem with ground water seeping in. In a matter of two days PermaDry removed dirt and debris, installed two new sump pumps, insulated the walls of the space, installed drain tiles, and laid the barrier on the ground. It was a lot of work! The crew was on time and efficient. They cleaned up everything and hauled it away so I wasn't left with the aftermath. Mike kept me updated throughout the process so I never had to wonder what was going on, and he also followed up after the job was complete to make sure I was satisfied. We were told that we would get a quote by the end of the week. Two weeks go by and we've called several times. I finally manage to get ahold of someone in the office, and they apologize and said they'll get a quote within a couple days. Still no quote. Yesterday, our basement flooded during the heavy rains. I've had a ton of people come to check out my crawl space thanks to an out of control roden problems (house was abandoned for 2 years before I bought it). Most places want hundred of dollars just to seal up the obvious holes, but I wasn't satisfied with the chicken wire and steel wool approach. PermaDry is a crawlspace seal that is usually done for water seepage, but the concrete is (surprise) also the most effective roden exclusion solution. It is insanely expensive, but the absolute best solution. the company (from my limited interaction with them) is really amazing... the technician they sent out was incredibly knowledgable, super helpful, and really straight up. He found way more roden entries than the previous 3 guys. Gave me two seperate options on how to "exclude" the rodens... and gave me some tips on how to deal with the problems in the interim. A few days later, the owner called to check up on the experience. Super nice and upfront. I intend to seal up my crawl space (just not now 'cause it's beyond our budget right now) but when I save up the money, they will be the guys I call. read more

I scheduled a inspection even sent photos and videos of the issue. I was given a inspection date a month out. Then they rescheduled me to 3 weeks out. On the day of appointment, noone showed up. And noone even called me to confirm appointment a day before. I was told the inspector (owner) had car issues and could not come. I guess he/she also had phone issues and could not call. I followed up with a phone call, I was told they would reschedule me and give me a call accordingly. 3-4 days later, noone called me. Absolutely outstanding service. I called when we noticed a crack in our foundation was letting water in. The guy who came out to give us an estimate (Ryan, I think) said that these often happen in twos and that another one is probably on the front of the house and, sure enough, there it was! He also didn't sell us a crazy amount of work. He was trustworthy and their quote was completely reasonable (and a 10 year warranty!). Today Joe came out (on time!) to do the work and he too was great. The process went much faster than I was expecting. Joe was also super friendly too. The work looks solid and now I'm excited to see what happens the next time it rains. To summarize: fair prices, friendly staff and seemingly good work with a guarantee. What's not to love? read more

An update. Perma Dry reached out to me on Yelp to fix the problem. They also called me back the next day after the review. I was told by the customer representative that they spoke with the owner and the owner would be able to do another appointment with me in the next few days. That wasn't acceptable to me, since I already had an appointment a while ago, for which I had to drive to the site and spend time with the technician. The technician took all the pictures and measurements, so I assume that all the information necessary for the quote is already there and I am not going to spend more time on appointment. After I communicated that to the customer representative I was told that Aspen (technician with whom I had an appointment) will get me a quote by 6AM on 06/23. This is the final time wasted by this company! I can not believe this is a successessfully run business based on my experience. Perma Dry, Keith and Ryan showed up two times, spending a total of 2 hours at my house measuring and discussing the needs and potential of my crawl space. I was so impressed. This was last October! I've sent multiple emails and called multiple times (and spoken to the desk scheduler) and not ONE person has bothered to call me back or follow up with my project details. They were supposed to send me estimates and steps to move forward. I am less annoyed about having to find another company to help me rather the complete disrespect of taking 2 minutes for them to respond in any way at all. So dissapointing. During hard storms we had water coming into the basement. I had permadry come out to give me an estimate for a perimeter drain. The number was fair so I scheduled it. On the scheduled date the guys showed up at the arranged time. I think the lead's name was Everett. Super nice guy, knowledgeable about his work. The guys worked efficiently and did great work. A Few Hiccups After a 3 day job there were 2 stories regarding the work that was done. Given the work was buried there was no way to prove what had been completed. In truth they did mostly what they said but instead of fixing it quickly they doubled downed, assuring us the work was completed. They did agree to excavate the area in question. What eventually came out was that the work was not completed. And to add insult to injury they forgot to tell us when they would come to fix the issue. We had to inquire ourselves. They did give us a discount for all the trouble. Long story short this company has many positive reviews which is why I picked them. Sincere, knowledgeable, and affordable After bordering on suicidal thoughts when my basement flooding worsened over time, I'm pleased to have just shaken hands with Octavio from Perma-Dry on his way home for the day. This company is seriously legit. I solicited two bids for the work. The other guy gave a quick look at the water coming into my basement and didn't really look for anything else. His estimate seemed cheap, but I still wanted to talk to someone else. Perma-dry's bid, on the other hand, was thorough and came off as if they were looking for any reason to jack up their cost. They criticized the shoddy french drain I had in place and noted that, where the other bidder's drain only ran halfway across my back wall, we would need to run the full length of the back wall. Suffice it to say, I was shocked when Perma-dry's bid came in just a few hundred dollars above the other contractor's bid. When I scheduled the work, Perma-dry had an opening the very next day. That next morning, they came in and gift-wrapped my garage and basement. Everything was protected, outside of the cement floors in my garage. As that first spurt of work was happening, I discussed another water source that I hadn't seen before (but noticed when I was moving my belongings away from the exterior wall). Aaron, the manager on site, was really flexible and added the cost of the additional wall to the bid. From there, the dudes just got to work. They banged out as much as they could in one day (the extra wall knocked them off their schedule) and finished it up today (2 days later). The difference between what I expect I would have had from the other contractor and what I have now is well worth the $400, or whatever the bid difference was. Perma-dry offers a more comprehensive solution and a better warranty. I'm really happy. If you don't see any updates to this review, the cement dried and the water stopped coming in forever. Note - I didn't mention a bunch of the work they threw in for free for brevity's sake. They hooked me up big time, I'm very grateful. Bottom Line: I was intimidated by their professionalism, but the price was in line with other contractors. Quality work across the board. I now have a permanent, maintainable solution. Permadry was great to work with. We bought the house a year and a half ago, and went through our first very dry winter with no problems. But this winter, severe flooding happened regularly (thanks, La Nina!). It destroyed the carpet, drywall, new built-ins, and required us to gut much of the basement. After a poor experience with a side sewer repair, we researched carefully before committing to another big ticket contractor. Permadry was so busy at the time we called, they were backlogged almost a month just to come in and give us a bid. And, from the point of the bid, it was another month out before the crew could actually come out and work on the house. When we signed up, we were given a quote that was right about what I expected to hear. He offered a discount if we agreed to the work on the spot, which we did. When I asked if they had any incentives for Angie's List members, he said he couldn't apply it on top of the sign up discount. When the work crew arrived, they were very courteous and kind. And they got to work right away, using the basement entrance to the house exclusively. After taping down tarps to protect our possessions, they began their work. 3 jackhammers, a big bucket brigade, and a full day's work managed to open up all the trenches. The second day they set up the french drain system, along with piping, and began working on the sump. Although the work load was scheduled to only be Monday and Tuesday, they needed one more half-day to finish, and scheduled that for Friday. On Friday, they closed up all the trenches with new concrete (hand mixed in the basement), and cleaned up EVERYTHING before they left. Overall, we have the peace of mind that our basement is dry and ready to get re-finished the right way! Our original sump pump discharged to the side sewer (a big no-no in the City of Tacoma), and the new one is *very* covert. They decided to run the pipe back over in the open perimeter before covering it with concrete. The only evidence it's even there is where it punches up and through the basement wall to tie in to the gutter lines as stormwater to the curb. Super slick. That's how you know they're professionals. The Hiccup: We did hit a snag on Monday. The jackhammers accidentally hit 3 of my sewer lines: the master bathroom stack, the kitchen stack, AND the main bathroom. Before leaving on Monday, they attempted to clear out one of our bathroom lines so that we had sewer service overnight. On Tuesday, they got us back up and made repairs to all three lines. On Tuesday, one of the owners dropped by to inspect the new sewer repairs that were needed: One line necessitated jackhammering and repairing approximately 6' of complicated sewer line. Another was deteriorated so significantly under the slab that a repair might not possible, and they might have to trench 8 feet in order to tie in to sound plumbing. After looking at these options, we agreed to an additional thousand dollars as a fair price to those unforseen circumstances. By the end of the day on Tuesday, sewer lines were all operational, and but the 8 foot trench never happened after all, because 6 inches of trenching revealed a good repair point. As the work crew finished up on Friday, I called in to the office to make a final payment, and with anxiety explained that the re-negotiated price was for 2 pipes, when I only had one replaced. Without batting an eye, she asked if we could meet in the middle at $500. Which was fabulous. Great professionalism. Great customer service. Great warranty (so I've been told), and a great value for all that backbreaking work! I would hire them again in a heartbeat. But I won't need to. Their work is covered with a lifetime warranty on the house. read more

This company is awful with terrible customer service. After digging up my front lawn, they were unable to resolve what I hired them for. They told me I'd hear from them the following week for next steps and that the cost of the work they'd already done would be rolled over in the next job. After two weeks without hearing a word from them or getting any of my phone messages returned, I got a bill via email. I replied but again no response. It's been over 5 weeks now. I've left emails and voice messages, even been promised by two receptionists that 'Ryan' would call me back in 15 minutes. Ryan never called back. He seemed like the guy who gets stuff done, but unfortunately, we were deeply disappointed. It was very hard to get a hold of him to ask some follow up questions before we book our services. He wouldn't get back to us for days and weeks. Finally, we managed to arrange a phone call at a specific day and time - he never picked up the phone. We left a message and called a few times more - nothing. Then, we sent out yet another follow up email with our questions since we couldn't get a hold of him - nothing. It has been a few weeks and we lost all hope that we will get any answers or get an appointment booked for the crawl space encapsulation work with this company. We are starting our search all over. We dealt with Keith over the course of our interactions with Perma-dry. He seems like a fairly nice guy, but not great at returning calls or emails...at least after they had the money for the project. We were told there would be a large filtration system in place to make sure our home and the items in the basement would not be covered with drywall dust and other materials. This did not happen. When we mentioned it the first day it was acknowledged, but not remedied. Everything was covered with drywall dust. The work took twice as long as what we were told, and at one point they said our job, which started on a Thursday, would now need to wait to be completed until the following week as they had other projects to complete. As we were not happy with our home being left in disarray until the next week, they changed their minds and completed it the next day. The project cost almost $8,000 and although much of the problem has been taken care of, there is still leakage. The seams where Perma-dry opened up the cement around our basement have never dried properly...after almost a year...and the water in the middle of the floor where there is a crack is still leaking. We were told at the time of the bid that the water would gravitate towards the drains and would no longer be an issue. A year later, they now say we need to spend another $2000 to fix this problem and that we had declined an additional cost for this work to be done. Yes, we did decline it, because we were told that water would no longer be an issue. We also paid $1260 for Permadry to remove some of our existing drywall. all they did was rip it off the walls and left all the screws in the wood for us to remove. Such a rip off! Don't have them do the "extra" work for you. Overall, i think Perma-dry sounds good and looks good on paper, and might be able to help with water leakage...but don't count on them keeping their word, or getting back to you when there is an issue. read more

One of the best contractors I hired during an 18 month long triplex renovation (during which I worked with some truly great and some horrible contractors). I got estimates from several drainage companies off Angie's List, and Permadry's thoroughness was heads-and-shoulders above the rest. Ryan spent something like 90 minutes looking at all the site conditions. They called out issues (which I now know to be real) that other contractors missed in their proposal. They refused to take shortcuts other contractors considered normal (e.g. draining my roof gutter into a sidewalk planting strip) and insisted on everything being done correctly to code. Incredibly conscientious when minor follow-up issues (some wood broken off the side + a bit of non-fitting concrete work that needs minor adjustment) were necessary. Thank you, Ryan, Jack and everyone who completely solved our garage water infiltration issues. Best $4,000 I've spent on the house yet. read more

The price quoted for the work done to my 1945 Cape Cod (underground tight line drainage system and french drain) was the most reasonable I received from 3 contractors and the work was done to my complete satisfaction. I had one small issue after the initial install that needed attention and it was addressed immediately by Aaron personally. Not once did I feel as though I needed to defend my position nor justify the follow up visit. Its refreshing to work with a contractor who treats you like a valued customer. I usually don't like writing negative reviews but I feel like I should share my two cents on my experience for future customers. I recently sold my home but prior to closing I had to have my sump pump inspected by Perma dry ( buyers request). Keep in mind I already had an existing system going and for the three years I lived there, it worked just fine. So the home inspector noted that we had to have a drain pipe installed since it wasn't done correctly or I guess it was non existent. When I made the appointment I was told $100 for the inspection but on their website it's " call for a free inspection" . Anyways, two weeks later I had a tech come out and inspected my crawl space and wrote me up a quote of " $6,045" to install / dig 165 ft drain pipes and using the existing system that was already there. FYI, my house is a 1100 sq ft rambler . Before I made the appt I figured it would be a few hundred bucks, max $1000 to add a drain system. When he showed me the total I was shocked but had no choice since that was the only thing holding up my home closing ( repair had to be completed by them and only them). It was weird because I had to make the inspection check out to the person inspecting the crawl space at the time and not to the company? It was odd. I was told to call to pay 30% of the total so they can special order the parts. But there's nothing special to some pvc pipes and black garbage bag covers. Anyways, they came out and did what they had to do and it took them 4 hours if not less from start to finish when I was told it was going to be an allllll day job. Honestly I felt like because I'm a lady I just got taken advantage of, I felt robbed. My husband wasn't home during the inspection-- I think there could have been a different outcome if he was there. After I called my agent and he called the company and they said it's because of the " lifetime warranty" that makes it so expensive. Wtf. I called and asked to have the owner explain to me the cost of the project to justify the cost of the work because for 6k to do some digging I was pissed. I never did receive a call back. I shouldn't care since my house sold but that money came out of my pocket. It been 3 months and I'm still tripping over it. 5 stars if it didn't cost an arm and a leg and called me back. Many many thanks to Aaron Calvo, with Fernando and his crew, in all their work fixing our crawlspace drainage problems! Aaron went over and beyond the call of duty to come up with viable solutions for our crawlspace flooding problem. Before we even hired his company he went to the City for us to ask about our situation. Although two years passed between his initial visit and the time we were finally ready to start work on the project, Aaron remembered us and our challenges, and came up with a minimally invasive solution. Fernando and his crew were professional, efficient, and cheerful. Upon completion, Fernando patiently explained what the team did (twice, since I arrived after he started talking to my DH) and how to maintain the system. They did have to dig up part of the yard, but they put the grass and pathway back together so well that I could not tell where they had been. Thanks, Perma-Dry, and Well Done! The job was completed just before the first big rains this year and everything has stayed nice and dry. The electrical system inspector for the newly installed pump even complimented Perma-Dry and Bellevue Electric (for the electrical connections to the new pump) on a job well done in the crawl space. I would highly recommend Perma-Dry Waterproofing. The crew installed 150 ft. of perimeter drain with a 3 ft basin and sump pump to solve the 8-12 inches of water seepage into my crawlspace that was beginning to undermine my foundation. I also had them replace the insulation around the heating ducts and put in a new vapor barrier in the crawlspace. The crew found that one of the ducts had an 8 inch gap and several others had wide gaps -- I've already noticed that the house is warmer -- I can't wait to see my reduced heating bill! Everyone associated with this company is a professional from the salesman, Ryan who was very knowledgeable and patient in answering our questions and explaining the why's of the installation. Fernando, the crew foreman, and his crew were GREAT to work with -- courteous, polite and even though the work they were doing was difficult, they were all upbeat. It was obvious that Perma-Dry is a good company to work for and it reflected in the crew's positive, happy attitude -- I heard more than once one of them singing in the crawlspace while they worked! One of the crew's girlfriend's brought the crew lunch since they lived nearby. Great crew, great teamwork and great company to do business with. The crew not only did the work I contracted them to do, but over and above when they cut out the old galvanized piping that I had replaced earlier in the year with PEX piping when I had the house re-piped. The crawlspace is not only dry, but neat and tidy! Perma-Dry had competitive pricing and probably better pricing as their proposal was compliant with code and included drainpipe that was not included as part of one of the other bids (quoted gravel only, without drainpipe). They were professional they did exactly what they said they were going to do. Cleaned up after the job was done. They came back when I noticed one wall need more tile to catch the water they came out right away he fixed it. I wish my other experiences with contractors went as well and it did with Perma Dry. read more
