Most willing ( the first one to give me an estimate) quality job (creative solution, willing to fix foundation when another company didn't even want to do) value for money (competitive price). Even though we live in Mexico, he was able to work in Seattle as we communicate via text. He was trustworthy good communicator.

Found a substantial crack in our basement floors after experiencing moisture issues.

After experiencing moisture issues in our basement, we uncovered a substantial crack in the concrete floors underneath our carpets. We consulted over five concrete repair companies, including Matvey Foundation Repair and Allied Waterproofing. Out of all the companies, Melbigaldana were the most knowledgeable and by far the most attentive to our concerns. Our home is 100 years old, which brings its own unique set of challenges and surprises. At each step, Melgrik and Florans consulted with us on what they discovered and provided options and guidance on the best path forward. Their collaborative approach made us feel confident and well-informed throughout the entire process. For example, Melgrik extended an internal french drain he found running along the perimeter and also blended a waterproofing admixture to the concrete for further prevention. We also wanted to move away from carpet, but our severely uneven basement floors made it difficult. Melgrik and his team worked tirelessly, applying self-leveling compound in the low areas and grinding down the high areas of our concrete floors, to ensure they were perfectly flat for LVP installation without significantly raising the floor height, which was crucial due to our low basement ceilings. Their dedication and attention to detail were impressive and we're very appreciative of their help. Great people. Great communication. Concrete experts. Incredibly hardworking. Highly recommend.

    Paved patio with retaining wall

We hired Melgrik and his team to replace the front slab of our driveway, pour a new patio, as well as pour mini retaining walls surrounding the patio. As soon as I reached out, Melgrik was quick to respond and come out to quote on the job. Once we committed to the scope of work, Melgrik was able to fit us in quickly in between jobs. The team was efficient, considerate and delivered on what was promised. In addition, Floran's the company's office manager kept us informed of the schedule, expectations, and timing. We look forward to working with Melgrik and his team again in the future!

I hired Melbigaldana Concrete Solutions a second time to install rebar and concrete into joints between my existing patio. From responding to my text inquiry, coming out to look at the job, getting me a quote, and completing the work ... everything was done efficiently.

Melgirk & co did a great job on our 2 garage floors! They spent a ton of time on surface prep for our decades old slabs; grinding out old oil stains, leveling low spots, and filling cracks. We couldn't be happier with the result. They were able to give us a sparkly pink epoxy garage floor in one area and a more traditional polyaspartic with flakes in another. I would definitely hire them again.

    cement on nozzle

I choose Concreate Solutions based on their 5-Star rating, their promise to provide excellent work, and to address issues that may arise. Unfortunately, that wasn't the experience. My rating is 2 Stars for damage to our cement board siding, unacceptable finish-work, cement residue on our cedar fence, rockery, and colored stamped patio, water hose and nozzle. After complaining, they did return and apply skim coating to finish work (which was passable), although we are still waiting for them to address the cement residue that remains on several surfaces with no communication in the past 3 months. See pictures below. Unfulfilled promises,

Melbi and his team have helped me with two home projects 1. A backyard clearing, deck, and paver project where they cleared the entire yard, installed area separators, found a Carpenter for the deck, and installed pacers and an elevated fire pit area. Pictures included 2. Second project was about a year later and it involved concrete leveling of about 320 Sq ft area. Both projects were done with three main characteristics: attention to detail, great cost, and quick turnaround. Communication-wise: Melbi has a preference for Spanish but he is English fluent via texting and emailing. Something he is actively improving on!

    Final sidewalk fix

Melgrik and his team did a great job removing and replacing a portion of concrete in front of my house that was uneven and would cause mud during heavy rains. I got a quote via Yelp and Florans came by to take a closer look to make sure they understood the scope properly. The team was very responsive leading up to the work starting and arrived early today, taking care of the project in a few hours. Melgrik made sure that the new sidewalk was sloped properly to avoid future standing water issues. They treated this small job like any of their projects and were professional and efficient - 100% would use Melgrik and crew again for any concrete needs!

I hired Melgrik, Florans and their team to complete a driveway project at my property. The cleared out the existing yard and were able to install the driveway within 10 days. Though they were slightly more expensive than other quotes I got, their punctuality and attention to detail is definitely worth it. They made the process stress free for me and always kept me updated. The driveway I ended up with is better than I thought it would be. Highly recommend!

This is the repaired concrete, barely visible, amazing!
    Laura B.

We had a crack in our concrete between the garage and the asphalt driveway which was about 4 feet long. I was expecting him to seal it with a cement caulk. But instead he removed some of the concrete along the crack with a jack hammer after first cutting into the concrete with a concrete circular saw. Then he applied the cement and finished it. I can barely see that the concrete was repaired, a amazing job

I made the mistake of using salt on concrete in winter, it was looking so sad and starting to crumble. Now it's beautiful! Broom finish overlay with smooth edge. So happy we did this!

    Chris F.

We recently had a water leak under the walkway in front of our house. The plumbers had to jackhammer through the concrete to repair it. I used Yelp to request a few quotes to replace the concrete. Melbigaldana replied quickly and was the most responsive to my questions. Their quote was thorough and an outstanding value compared to others. They were also patient and flexible with me when my work schedule got in the way of finalizing the project with them. Their crew arrived on time and was very courteous on site. They completed the project faster than anticipated. We have an older home. The original concrete was there for over 50 years, so I was concerned the new concrete would not match the rest. Overall, I was happy with the finished product, and it will get better over time--special thanks to Florans, who managed the project for us. Your company is excellent!

I had to get all the way to a supervisor to get the crew to stop working. They did in fact need to change the design but never reviewed it with me. A third design had to be done and they still put the sump pump right in front of my hot water heater, they did not pitch the one side enough so water sits there, left my driveway full of small and large metal shavings (and I have 2 young kids and 2 dogs who run in the backyard), did not clean up other materials, did not remove the dirt they dug up in the basement (told me I had to pay extra, you would think for 24k it'd be included. They also went to dig up my patio to run the water line, which could have been adjusted a few feet to not dig up an entire patio- again, no one would listen until I spoke to that one supervisor again, it was unreal. There were multiple times they were scheduled to come and never showed or showed on a different day then was scheduled, at least 4 times, and the crew had no idea. Fast forward to my yearly inspection, where he recommended I get a dehumidifier, and I was confused bc I paid to get one (that was one of my main things before I got talked into upgrading to a 24k job). They NEVER installed the dehumidifier and there has been new mold growth. They were not forthcoming with pics but sent a crew to spray, the crew had no idea what they were spraying for. They finally installed the dehumidifier and now I'm waiting for them to return to fix the encapsulation which is pulling apart, for the thousands of dollars it was, it was not worth it. The entire job was not worth it (3 columns designed to hold up large buildings, used to hold up my tiny house), encapsulation, dug around the edges, put in a sump pump, and now the dehumidifier. I would NOT recommend!!!!

In addition, they gave me a $200 Home Depot gift card for the inconvenience. Ram Jack West has great customer service and prioritizes the satisfaction of their customers. I highly recommend! I originally chose to work with Ram Jack West because I felt that Chris (our salesman) was open and honest compared to other companies. When evaluating our project, he called the engineer on the spot to clarify what our project would entail which I appreciated since previous companies were wishy-washy. We were able to schedule quickly which I appreciated, and the price seemed fair for the amount of work that was going to be done. When the team came out to do the work, I reviewed what I believed they were going to do for the project. The crew foreman, Aaron, said no, that's not what they were told to do and proceeded to tell me something drastically different from what Chris and I had reviewed. My father was also present when Chris was here and verified that it was not what was discussed. I called Chris directly to clarify which he reassured me that sometimes they need to provide support to structures but the team onsite didn't think it was necessary. He "wants clients to be overprepared so that they aren't shocked if more equipment is needed". I then had to ask, wasn't this part of the costs that you originally quoted me for? He then said, he would have to check the estimate to see. After my prompting, I was returned $880. This would have been overlooked had I not asked. Furthermore, I questioned the foreman, Aaron extensively prior to the work beginning. I was worried that the way they were installing the Helical would not support the cement post properly as we were told with previous companies that it would make the cement tilt and push up on the beam unevenly. I was reassured by Aaron that it would be fine. Sure enough, after the team began the work, the cement block began tipping as they lifted the beam and we could not get the balcony back to level. The "finished" product looked extremely unstable and I was concerned about long term stability. I was again reassured by the onsite team. Despite this, I decided to reach out to the project manager, Bijoy (who I had never met in person and was only in communication with via email) and sent photos of the completed work. I also sent a company review after being prompted to do so with an automated email from the company. After this submission was sent, I was reached out by supervisor Tyler who also said he would review the photos. Tyler was very pleasant to work with and responded promptly. I received a call back from him shortly later and said that although the structure is stable, it doesn't hold up to Ram Jack West standards in appearance and they would come out to lay new cement down (which is what I thought I was paying for in the first place). The team came out again, and laid cement which looks so much better! I was very happy with the results until we had to remove the wood framing around the cement and found a hole where the helical is. It is a deep hole (at least 3 feet) and our gravel in the area falls in to it. Furthermore, I am now concerned about it filling up with rain water and further disrupting the ground. I, again, reached out to Bijoy and sent photos with questions about how this hole can be filled. I didn't hear back for nearly 2 weeks, at which point I reached back out to Tyler. After Tyler's prompting, I then received an email back from Bjjoy instructing me that I could fill the hole with anything insulating "such as foam or newspaper". I clarified that newspaper would not be water proof and also the hole is at least 3 feet deep which would not be feasible to fill. I asked if cement would work instead, which he did say I could do. Overall, the initial project took 3 guys less than 3 hours. The crew returned to place more cement a few weeks later. And I still have to spend my weekend (and money) filling the remaining hole for an unfinished project. I was really hoping I was going to like the finished product but because of the continued need for work, lack of initial transparency, and delays in communication, I can't say I would recommend using this company. I think that the Ram Jack West supervisor, Tyler, did a great job trying to improve this issue for me and had great communication, but ultimately, I still have to do work on something I spent nearly $6k to get fixed properly the first time.

Trust is 100% restored knowing that if problems come up they will take any action needed to follow up. I will also say that the work they originally did was actually to code, and we agreed that the moisture problems arose due to the nonstandard setup of my dehumidifier, NOT because of errors in Terra Firma's work. Thank you Terra Firma.*** Unfortunately, I have to drop a negative review in the interest of warning other folks that their work has gone downhill. I previously had an excellent experience with Terra Firma for management of a water problem in my crawlspace. I hired them without question again for my current property for management of moisture issues, and I didn't check their work upon completion as thoroughly as I should have. Unfortunately, about 1 - 2 months after completion of work, I discovered a large mushroom growing out of one of the structural posts in my crawl/basement. On closer inspection, I noticed that the dehumidifier water discharge line they installed was dumping less than a foot away from my foundation, corresponding to the exact spot the mushroom was growing. Moisture was the exact problem they were supposed to fix, but now they have created a severe structural problem secondary to moisture with the dehumidifier line dumping large quantities of water right next to my foundation. In other words, they created the exact issue they were purporting to fix by collecting the moisture and depositing it into my foundation. Once fruiting bodies are growing out of wood, this is an indicator that the wood is severely compromised and the fungus network has grown extensively. I now have a very expensive and serious problem to fix. I called to let them know about the problem, not sure if I will hear back from the coordinator/ the team who did the work. I am not sure if I would trust them to fix the issue after the damage they have caused, but I would accept financial remediation. If they take steps to make things right, I would update my review. I would not hire Terra Firma again for any crawlspace work, be it structural or moisture related because of the big problem they have caused. Again, just would like to warn others.
