She even gave me tips on how to preserve my eyebrows since I told her I don't like to get them done all the time. Just an amazing experience from beginning to end. I was very comfortable with her methods and felt safe. She is also very personable and made me feel very comfortable the entire time. She used plenty of numbing cream/gel to ensure I did not feel pain during the procedure as well. Her website is also very informative and provides a list of food/drink/medicine items to avoid before the procedure so you will have the best experience and reduce pain & bleeding. My advice is to adhere to them so your experience will be as pain free and lessen your bleeding as much as possible. Once ready, I will post before and after pictures as proof of her great work! I have been LUCKY(!!!!!) to have found Marie Cutrer at Lighten Up Laser!!!!!! OMG, she has changed…read moremy life. I was born with a tiny upper lip and it had always bothered me. For awhile I would over drawl it, but the lipstick & liner never lasted that long. I decided to get permanent lipstick! Of course I was nervous going into it, and just so you know, it takes a good 3 days to look normal. I was first of all amazed that she was able to match my favorite lipstick, one that had been discontinued, so I bought 25 of them when I found out. Secondly she made out look so natural, even my mom couldn't tell - she was amazed too! Now I can wear chapstick by itself & it looks great - I have the type of face that is washed out without lipstick......NOT ANYMORE! I also benefited greatly from Marie's skills. So I STUPIDLY got permanent makeup originally, brows & eyeliner through a Groupon with a lady on Power Rd....BAD IDEA - there were three BIG problems.... 1st: my eyeliner was uneven, one eye had the liner stop about midway on the bottom, the other eye she went all the way to my inner corner. 2nd: the ink she used was suppose to be brown, it ended up being a black- blue (I referred to it as my prison makeup) I had the same awful lines in my brows. 3rd: the top eyeliner had a gap between the line and my lashes. Again, I AM SO LUCKY TO HAVE BEEN REFERRED TO MARIE..... SHE FIXED IT ALL IN 2 VISITS!!!! Don't make the same mistake I did, GO TO MARIE(!!!). She's realistic in what she can fix, which I've been told she is known for fixing botched jobs and AMAZING in a blank canvas (she gave me the lips that my mother could not and it looks natural)!! I tried a few times to break the silence, but there didn't seem to be any interest in engaging. It felt like there was no effort to build rapport or client connection. Customer service is such an important part of any beauty experience, especially when trust and long-term retention matter. Beyond the interaction, I ultimately had to get my eyebrows corrected elsewhere and ended up paying significantly more to fix them. In my opinion, the work was not as clean as I expected, particularly given the pricing. Considering the cost, I expected a higher level of service and professionalism. On top of that I scheduled a facial a month in advance, called the day before to confirm only to find out that their staff had canceled it because the girl who does facials is working her second job that day and they don't even know her work schedule for her second job to re book. Stay far away. I unfortunately pre paid for these services and am disputing the charge for the facial as the owner refuses to give a refund. I would not recommend this hole in the wall of a "day spa" to my worst enemy!!
