Although the office staff is friendly and professional, the owner, Mirinka was NOT. Mirinka is very difficult to deal with. She is very pushy, full of herself and will not listen. Mirinka states that she is an artist, so one would think that she would be able to draw a suitable eyebrow on your face. Well, she had no idea what she was doing. She was arguing with me after I told her that the Ronald McDonald eyebrows she outlined for my mom were unacceptable. She told me to get out of her office and we had a huge argument. My poor mother ended up looking like a clown. Since my mom (75) had no brows at all to follow as a guide, her brows came out shockingly off and clown like. The color was way off as well. My mom dyes her hair very black and the brows turned out reddish brown. Poor Mom. Now she is too afraid after this experience to trust anyone else to change her brows. It has been a couple of years now and they still look very fake and clown like. Luckily, I had my brows done prior to going and all I wanted was a fill in, which she did, but she tried to get fancy with some gold feathering while she was tattooing my brows a light brown and even they came out funky. I can live with them, but not very happy with them. Mirinka did claim to be a color specialist- especially with colors, claiming to be able to give you the perfect color for your since she tells you that she is an artist and has some pretty nice paintings in her office on display so that you will be at ease with her talent,but the result from her work with the brows was nothing like her paintings. In addition her fee is very high, but I was willing to pay for it since she claims to be an artist. I figure it would be better to have an artist tattoo my brows as opposed to some regular spa lady- wrong again. I guess the worst part about Mirinka is her attitude. For such an intimate service, like your eyebrows, you really need to be able to communicate and be comfortable with the person doing it. First let me say I was astounded that someone gave Mirinka one star and a horrible review. Something is up with that. Trust me, Miriinka and Pierre are both professional, skilled and kind. From start to finish you know you are in good hands. I went to them yesterday and I had been there before years back. This time I took my friend who had her eyebrows (beautiful already) and eye liner and lips done - she is going to be a WOW! I only needed my lips done. The swelling is already subsiding thanks to Mirinka telling me to press gauze to my mouth for a long while -it does work! They are the greatest - I find they are a bit pricey - but heck, you know the old saying you get what you pay for! I had work done by someone else about 15 years ago, it was cheaper and it wasn't good AND didn't last. I highly recommend them if you want to look your very best. Mirinika is a true artist when it comes to making you look fabulous. And I have to say, Pierre was especially gentle as he remembered! I have a very small amount of pain tolerance. I first went to Mirinka 15 years ago when she was working with Dr. David Felder. She was very highly recommended by so many people that I knew that only she would be the one getting anywhere near my face and eyes. From the moment we met, I was struck by not only her utter professionalism, but by her warmth and caring demeanor. She is a gem! We discussed what I wanted and she suggested the best options for doing so. Her work is pure art and she did a fabulous job on my brows. Her technique is the BEST, bar none. I've returned to her over the years for other things, and the staff at her office couldn't be any nicer. They make you feel like family. As with most things, you get what you pay for. Mirinka's work is flawless and worth every penny (and then some). I have sent many of my friends to her and now my Dermatologist also refers her patients, as well. I had my brows & lips done in July 2013. I went for consultation & was so confident with staff, I went forward the same time. Everything was drawn out & procedure was explained, step by step. Pierre did numbing injections & explained what "feelings" may happen. Yes I was nervous, I did have some of the odd feelings, it was minimal. Brows done first & completed once I approved, I had no swelling!!! . Lips were completed, yes there was a week of swelling & some peeling, but that is natural with any type of tattooing. I was sent home with full instructions & given follow-up appointment. With that said, after nearly two years, I am still very happy with results & have recommended Mirinka to many until this day & will be returning for some additional touch ups... I'm actually shocked at the negative reviews. My eyebrows began falling out a few years ago due to stress and a friend of mine suggested permanent makeup. I found Mirinka online and it was the BEST decision. I was so confident that I would like her that I flew from Ohio to Florida. She was very kind and patient and really listened to what I wanted. She spent about 45 minutes drawing my eyebrows and during that time she made sure I was a part of the process. I've received nothing but compliments and I would do it all over again.
