This is my first time at this location but I have been to Amy's before. I called and was able to get an appointment with Sade; Amy is out of town. Sade was very nice and professional. I walked in 15 minutes prior to my appointment and I was assisted without any issue. The place is clean and not too many people are in at once. I came for eyebrow service and she explained the tinting to me. My eyebrows were cleaned nicely and tint was added. It was a good experience and I am satisfied with results for the most part. The tint does come out pretty thick looking for the first day or so. I prefer a lighter, more natural look. I think by Sunday, it'll fade a bit to just how I like. I loved Amy!! What a talented and kind woman. I was in Florida for an Indian wedding and needed Henna desperately, because I was going to miss the ceremony where they did the henna for the female guests. I found Amy on Yelp. I called to make an appointment (same day) and Amy was ready as soon as I walked in the door. She walked me through the pricing for particular designs and we got started right away. I wanted something detailed, but not too busy and wanted to avoid certain types of designs. She really listened to what I wanted and did exactly that. I am so happy with the end product! On the right hand I chose a design for her to follow and on the left side, Amy did freehand! I love both so much! I called in to make an appointment and was given a time very close to the one I wanted! I went there to get my eyebrows and face threaded. Humera was kind and sweet with very gentle hands. She asked me exactly what I wanted and did an amazing job. The salon was very clean and she disinfected and washed her hands and wiped down in between each customer. She noticed some blackheads and even gave me advice on how to combat them. She worked fast and did a very thorough job, which I really appreciated! So I went in, and it's supposedly $12 for an eyebrow threading if you don't have a Groupon, cool. No problem. I went in a couple more times, then the last time they really tested me. The woman tells me it's if I wanted a simple threading or a shaping... what.... Correct me if I'm wrong, but the whole point of getting your eyebrows done is to SHAPE THEM. Otherwise I could pluck my own eyebrows. We get our eyebrows done to have them shaped and pretty. But APPARENTLY that's extra. So she literally just threading around and didn't shape close to them whatsoever so I still had all these extra little hairs. Ridiculous, won't be going back. I spoke to Nazir, who is always pleasant and friendly, and he asked when I'd like to come in. I said I was about 10 minutes away. He hooked me up, and I was in and out in no time. Inexpensive eyebrow threading $10. I usually pay $12-15 so this place is great on prices. They except walk ins. Ann did my brows and she did great. Shapes them well. She doesn't have a heavy hand which was a relief. She took her time and even gave a mini massage when applying the aloe after threading. They do not use tweezers here. Just a heads up; the eyebrow place is inside a hair salon, so it's a shared space. Also, they need more seating for clients who are waiting. They only have 4 chairs. read more

If you're looking to get some great henna done, then Mariam is your girl. A lot of regulars who came into the salon (for other things) greeted her as mary, but that's the go to girl! I was looking to get henna done for my wedding anniversary and wanted a place that was easy to find but also someone who knew what they were doing, and at a decent price. I checked a few places before finally finding Amys salon. I'm so glad i did! I called a week ahead and made an appointment. The man who answered the phone was a delight to speak to . He mentioned other services that i could add on and when i asked if they do henna regularly, he proudly answered, we are the experts! The salon is located in the winn Dixie plaza with lots of parking. Walking in, the same man i spoke to greeted me, and let me know that Mary was just finishing up with another client. The salon is clean, air conditioned with an upbeat but not too loud music that plays in the background. Mary was very sweet and offered me some pictures to look at for inspiration to my design. I watched her finish up her clients henna and i was immediately excited because she definitely knew what she was doing. I told her my price range and showed her a design I liked but that she can do freely what she wants. She got right to work and did an amazing job. Very neat and patient but what surprised me most of all was how fast she completed it. It must've been about 30 minutes the most! where as ive had to sit for hours at other places. Amy came around to compliment her work and to get to know me a little and congratulate me . She was booked all morning with eyebrows and facials so i thought that was really nice if her to take her 5 minute break between a client to welcome me. I have found my new brow spot! I came to Amy's to get my brows shaped after months of trying to grow them in after a little too much was waxed off at a different salon. I was hesitant to go to Amy's because I knew they specialized in threading. I tried threading a few years back and the lady that did my brows cut my skin with the thread. I've avoided threading ever since. I decided to give threading another try after seeing all of the before and after pictures for Amy's on Yelp. I made an appointment and was seen a few hours later. I was greeted by a very nice man and only had to wait a minute or two before Amy went to work on my brows. Amy is super nice! She is very quick and she also gave me tips on how to grow fuller brows. My sister and I both made an appointment to get henna done after our plans in the keys got crushed from bad weather. We were very pleased with our experience! The lady who did our henna was Indian and made the experience feel more authentic even if it was in a shopping mall salon. I had shown her some pictures of henna hands that I had liked and she gave me exactly what I liked and added her own personal touch to it making it unique. My little sister wanted to get something rather unique that isn't something that you would normally just pick out of a henna book. Her motivation was to see what her design would look like before getting it actually tattooed which was an outline of a mountain range. Our henna artist did a great job on drawing this on her arm as well even though it was kind of an odd non traditional design that she was requesting. Our henna artist was very polite and drew her art on us as we were sitting on the waiting room lounge chairs. It was very obvious that she loves what she does and takes pride in her work as she talked to me about her process of making her own henna cones. The price was also great! It was $15 for my sister and $30 for my hand. My sister had complained that the last time she got henna from another location it washed off the next day. Disclaimer: I had the groupon and am solely reviewing for the eyebrow threading. I have no experience with the henna or the waxing done here. I personally have very tough eyebrows (I'm Asian if you couldn't tell and most Asian eyebrows tend to grow downward) and she mastered them! She spent a lot of time making sure they were perfect and the threading didn't hurt a bit. It was one of the best threadings I've ever gotten and they definitely understand eyebrows. When we went there it was very simple. There wasn't any crazy decor and the location is in a plaza that isn't fancy or anything super nice, but reviewing completely for the service and value, it is completely worth it. She trims, cuts and plucks in addition to the threading and puts on a tingly moisturizer after. It wasn't busy and we were the only people there and there was only one associate (so sorry, I didn't catch her name). She was very nice and friendly. All I can say is I got a lot of compliments right after this threading and my BOYFRIEND, a GUY, noticed and commented that I got my eyebrows done (meanwhile, I've dyed my hair black and he barely noticed). So that, to me, speaks for itself. I'd recommend it to anybody. They weren't too thick and weren't too sparse. And the eyebrows are the...*cough cough*..."focal point" of the face. read more

Amee did my bridal mahendi/henna & she was great. What I liked the most about her was her speed & efficiency....humble & friendly, she listens to your needs and works accordingly. She does not rush, but is very good at what she does. I liked her design selections....it was easy to pick from the photos she brought. Prices are competitive ( as compared to market rate) & she can cater to a package that meets your budget. Only other comment was, i wished the henna was slightly more intricate upon washing, i found it slightly thicker than expected. However, it was beautiful overall and the color came out great. Do not do lashes there. Paid $70 and the next morning it began to fall off. Very disappointed! I made sure to not wash eyes and barely even touched them. Also they told me there was a special tint that cost $5.00 more and when I left to realized it's the same exact tint they use all the time for $13.00. I feel like I've literally been robbed between the lie for the higher tint and the lashes. I think they use cheap lashes and just regular glue you can buy at the store and lie to their customers. DETAILED STORY.....PLEASE READ AND MAKE YOUR DECISION WISELY. I was interested in trying out eyelash extensions. I googled local places and read all the reviews and looked at all the photos posted for Amy's. They were all great. I went in two weeks ago to ask a few questions and decided to try them out. I gave in to it and got my eyebrows dyed too. The eyebrows looked pretty good for about a week. Two weeks in ... color all gone. As for the lashes, they did look pretty but at a cost. My eyelids were glued so heavily that they were sore and tender to the touch. I had no idea if this was normal or not. A few fell out during the first week and thankfully my eyelids weren't sore anymore. However now my eyelashes looked 'spacey ' and terrible. Since you can't wear mascara with them, I couldn't 'fill in' any gaps. I chose to remove them myself. I purchased what was recommended for removal which should've made the process quick and painless. WRONG!!! It took me over an hour and a half to get those horrific things removed while trying to keep my own lashes safe in the process. All of these things were so heavily glued in clumps. It hurt terribly trying to massage these off and save what I could of my own lashes. Look at my attached photos of them before you walk in there. Take note of the HUGE CLUMPS OF GLUE USED. DO NOT GET LASHES HERE!!! read more

My daughter-in-law arranged for Amy's salon bridal package for her Hindu wedding. We were totally pampered the two days prior to the ceremony with hair and make-up test runs, and the henna they did for us was stunning. The day of, they were organized and everything went smoothly--hair, make-up, putting on sarees and generally putting us all together. I have never received so many lovely compliments on my appearance...ever. I continue to receive compliments on my henna and just love the beautiful freehand designs, even as they fade. I'm already making arrangements for a facial. Other services she offers are extensions, eyelashes, eyebrow tinting and threading. I have not had threading for years as I always found it uncomfortable. Here they recline you in a chair, make sure you are comfortable, and proceed to do a painless, well-shaped brow. I also had my hair deep conditioned and blown out. I insisted on a nice dinner with my husband in Miami to show off my hair! Anne/Anna is my favorite because she keeps my eyebrows thin the way I like and they seem to grow in better that way, but her availability is difficult. I've walked in several times with no appointment (in fact I've never had an appointment) and the ladies there will take care of you well either way.
