If you are looking to get your eyebrows microbladed, STOP right here. I have waited a few months to see how my eyebrows from Permetika Cosmetic, by Connie turned out. Can I just say, I LOVE MY BROWS As Houston was shutting down for COVID back in March, I started to do my research. The most important outcome for the look of my eyebrows was to look natural. I came across Permetika Cosmetic and viewed their website. I saw the videos of the news anchor Dominique Sanchez. I have always thought she is beautiful inside and out. Dominique's eyebrows by Connie looked natural so I was sold. I decided to book my appointment in early June. I went to her new beautiful location in Magnolia. Now some people might complain about the drive but I was thinking about flying to LA to get my brows done but instead, I found Connie. I am glad I did. When I met Connie, she was very sweet and professional. She would observe my brows while I was talking with expressions. Brows frame your face and it's important that MY brows fit MY face and not a one size fits all stencil brow (which by the way looks ridiculous). Another important issue was sterilization of equipment and she was very over the top keeping things clean. We both wore masks while she did the procedure. Connie is an artist and the best in Houston. I will not go to anyone else and in fact, I will see her for the touch up in September. By the way, I never write reviews on Google or Yelp because let's face it, I am lazy. However, I think it is important to share my experience because when you are doing your research you need to read people's experiences, especially when you are microblading your brows. Came here to cover up surgical scaring. I was assured Connie had extensive experience in color deposit, had many clients with a variety of skin tone, and full confidence she could help. I was told however that the results would need touchups in a few years as the color fades. I was fine with that. The day of my appointment Connie didn't want to proceed because I was on antibiotics and that can affect how the color holds. Fine with me. We agreed to color match this time around. We found a PERFECT match after she mixed a few colors. It looked great. Came back 2 weeks later and she didn't mix any colors, just picked a bottle (I assumed she had premixed my color from our first meet). She went over all of the scar tissue without picking up more ink regularly ..as someone who has multiple tattoos, I thought that was odd but figured she knew what she was doing. She described a technique of stippling to make the cover look more natural and that's what was done with our first session. For the actual cover, she simply dragged the needle. Immediately after I saw very little difference minus being SUPER red. I gave it a week and saw nothing changed. After 2 weeks I wrote her to explain she must have used a color too light because nothing was different. My text was ignored for another 10days before she responded that I can book her again for a follow up. I explained my displeasure that it seems she had played me for a 2nd session since from our test, that color was still fine. Was ignored for another week then told in a hostile manner that I can come back for a free 2nd session. So she can this time use dark chocolate brown and make it even worse? Pass. OMG, I scheduled an appointment with this lady( Connie Pearson ) last year in April to have my eyebrows microbladed. First thing when I sat down in her chair,instead of asking me what color and shape I would like my eyebrows,she asked me to go into another room to look at high end skin care products. I told her I wasn't interested,but she continued to hard sell me until I was almost ready to walk out of there( it seemed to me that she was trying to drain as much money as she could from you). Then she abruptly stopped and started looking at my eyebrows, and picked up this device and went over my right eyebrow. She then put a mirror so close to my face, I couldn't see anything at first. Now she did this so fast that I didn't have time to tell her why she didn't sanitize and numb my eyebrows first. And after doing the second eyebrow with the machine, she picked up a microblading tool and started cutting small strokes into my eyebrows which really hurt because she didn't numb my eyebrows. Next she gave me the mirror to look at my so called finished eyebrows. At that time, it didn't look like she completed the full left eyebrow,as the tail of the eyebrow wasn't done. She then mentioned that I need to come in for a touch up,and I was ok with that,but I didn't want to leave without the eyebrow fully done. She picked up the instrument again and made one long hair stroke down the tail of my brow. Next to top things off,she put a sticky dressing over your eyebrows in which she said it will help the healing process, and to leave it on for about 7 days. This didn't make any sense,but I followed her instructions. On the 7 th day , I pulled the dressings off,and noticed that most of the ink came off. After 2 weeks,like magic, all that she did,was totally gone. If I could give this lady 0 stars, I would! I never had such an awful salon experience in my life. Do your research, and don't trust a place even if they have lots of positive reviews. I got my eyeliner done with Connie in 2014, I am writing a review in 2019 because I realized my infections/allergic reactions had nothing to do with me! I went and got my eyeliner done from Connie with all the positive reviews from Yelp, and yes Connie was already charging more than double compared to other places. My eyelids got super swollen after my procedure, I had to go see a doctor and be prescribed steroids and antibiotics. Although during that time, Connie was responsive, and gave me suggestions. But now that I have gotten my eyeliner done recently by someone else, and not having any of those reactions/infections. Connie should've admit something went wrong on her end and offered a refund instead of making me felt like something went wrong on my end. I had my eyebrows microbladed for the first time when I came to see Connie a few years ago and have been coming back ever since. She is the absolute best! Before my visit, I had very thin, blonde, almost non existent brows, but Connie has given me shape to my face again and confidence without makeup on. I no longer have to worry about wiping off part of my brow makeup in the gym, or if I'm in water, as well as taking 20 minutes to draw them on "just right". I understand she charges a lot and I wanted to get a really great great job done but unfortunately she never finished the job she started all I got basically was a little bit a fill-in in a little bit of outlined an uneven job. I'm in love with Connie and her work. I went on Thursday to get my mother and I's eyebrows done. She's very professional and she is very sterile with all her equipment and everything she even touches that she will be using on you, everything is wiped down and wrapped up. She has a great sense of humor, which helps you relax a bit if you're a little nervous before hand. I love how she's a person that likes to get to know you (genuinely) and not a person that wants to get you in and out of there. I had a 2 month waiting period before I could schedule a back to back appointment for my mother and I, during that time period my mom was sadly diagnosed with breast cancer, and during the time she would be in recovery is when we were suppose to come in for our appointment. I gave a text to Connie about my moms situation and she was so nice and understanding enough to try to move other appointments around even though she was completely booked until November now. Although, luckily my mom was ready and out of surgery/recovery to make our original appointment. I made an appointment online with Lindsay as Connie, the owner, was booked 3-4 months in advance. When I arrived for my appointment I was pleased to be in an upscale spa setting and everyone was friendly. Lindsay and I spoke about my expectations and the expected outcome. Lindsay micro bladed my eyebrows and camouflaged/tattooed surgical scars. I was so pleased with my eyebrows and scars that I returned for eye liner. If you are in the market for permanent make up by advice is to do research and DO NOT necessarily go to the highest priced you find ( such as Connie) I thought after seeing news anchor Dominique Sachse's vlog about Connie's work that I would be in the best hands for permanent eyeliner. Connie is very nice and her office is nice. However the work I received was not worth the $750 I paid. First my appointment was an hour behind schedule. When I finally got taken back my total time there at this appointment was close to 3 hours. The numbing medication was applied prior to my procedure however it took so long to actually start the procedure that most of the numbing wore off making the procedure almost unbearable. She did inform me that she would do a lighter application rather than heavy simply because we would not be able to decrease it once the ink applied which I was fine with and understood. Long story short, 3 weeks after my first appointment for eyeliner I have not one trace of eyeliner on my lower eye. Not even a hint of color. I was surprisingly disappointed. My top eyeliner is vaguely there but and almost noticeable. After reaching out to Connie about my results she simply said at the touch up she would be able to apply darker. A touch up? How about I need a whole need application since nothing stuck the first time. I also asked Connie in my reach out if in fact I would still be required to pay the $220 for a touch up fee even if no color was apparent on my lower eye. To date I have not heard back so I am assuming she was still planning on charging me the touch up fee. Sorry, this is unacceptable to me as a client. Asking someone to pay over $900 for permanent make up for the eyes is a bit outrageous especially when the work did not impress me at all. I would highly advise to seek out another permanent make up artist to help you achieve your goals. She simply over charges because a well recognized new anchor endorsed her and to me well that's just taking advantage of people and a platform. It would have been very different if she would have produced amazing results but this is not the case. And with me being in the medical spa business, her lack of customer service is less than appealing. Business owners that do not have time to address individual clients concerns In a timely manner do not deserve my business. There are plenty of others skilled in their craft that would appreciate me as a client. Don't waste your cash here. Do your homework and find someone else like I did. I just had my eyebrows done with Connie. She is very friendly and personable. My brows look amazing so far - like people can't tell its a tattoo without getting an inch from my face. I let her do my brows freehand (without a stencil or drawing them on first) it may have been risky but I feel it helped her give me a more natural look. She is extraordinarily talented! She was on time for my appointment but, my appointment ran over due to her taking her time working on my face - which I greatly appreciate. I'd rather not have someone who rushes. If you don't want to risk her running late and starting your procedure late schedule early in the morning as her first customer :) problem solved. She explained in depth before and after that it may take a couple of touch ups to get them exactly where I want them - depending on how my body accepts the pigment. 2/19/17- I just had my eyebrows microbladed by Connie yesterday and I LOVE THEM!! It was a great experience from start to finish. She made me feel comfortable and at ease. She was very descriptive throughout the entire process and stopped in between so I can see if I liked it before moving on. She is truly an artist! She does everything free hand, no mapping, stencils etc. She analyzes your brows by asking you to make multiple facial expressions so she can give you the most natural shape for your face. She is incredibly talented!! I don't understand the 1 star bad review?! She made it very clear several times to me that "this is a process" it can take 2-3 follow ups. I did a lot of research and decided to use Connie for my eyebrow tattooing. I live in Louisiana so I drove 4.5 hours to get to this amazing woman. I am soo pleased with my results. After the first initial tattooing they faded some(which is to be expected), she warned me this happens. So I returned for my 1st touch up and I am so amazed at the results!! I went to Connie upon a friend's recommendation for eyebrow tattoo. It took me about six months to get an appointment. When I went there for my appointment, it took 2-3 hours before she got started and we were constantly interrupted by her assistant, her phone calls, and students. I was there for about five hours. Then she suggested that I do a series of 2-3 sessions to get the perfect natural shade. I trusted and listened to her so she did the color very light that day. While I think she did a great job on the shape and tattoo, I was unable to get my follow up sessions scheduled. I tried to schedule the follow up session after the initial procedure, but they said their system was down. I called, texted, and emailed for a half year without answer. So I spent a fortune on my eyebrow tattoo (Connie's prices are more than double most places) with her but it's not even noticeable because it is so light. I still have to draw them on. I got a text solicitation from her office a year later. I replied that no one got back to me a year ago. I was a model for a training class at Permetika in February 2017. The artist was supposedly the number 1 microblade eyebrow expert. Horrible. I looked like a freak. Connie agreed and said she would fix them but I had to live with them for months and months. She finally managed to have free time to work me in but at that point I was so sick of looking the way I did and being embarrassed to go out in public that I found an expert that has a PicoSure Laser and with just one treatment they have faded to the point that I can cover them up and use Anastasia products to pencil them in. I think she thought if she put me off long enough I would go away and she wouldn't have to spend time making no money on my ruined eyebrows. Think really hard about microblade eyebrows or any permanent makeup for that matter. It's more expensive to get rid of a job gone wrong. I believe that just because of the news anchor hoopla that's why she's so booked she doesn't have time to take care of clients who got a horrible job done. I found Connie after searching long and hard for hair stroke eyebrows on the web. I had seen her work on a YouTube video & then did my own research. I was excited when I found only excellent reviews. I am a Travel RN & never had a desire to live in Houston. When I found Connie I actually took a 3-month position in Houston, so I could have her do my permanent eyebrows. From the minute I made the appointment I knew it was going to be a great experience. The staff was amazing. I've had previously had permanent makeup done and this was a totally different experience. The other ones left me in horrific pain, during the procedure, but Connie made sure I was always comfortable. I began searching for someone who really knew what they were doing to repair the damage done by another perm. make-up artist that I had been to. The other woman used the worthless "tap" method, which basically means it hurts more, and there is less accuracy! That is when I came across Permetika. I was really impressed with the pictures of her work. I was wanting permanent eyeliner. Something very natural looking. My daughter was wanting to have her eyebrows done. We scheduled a consultation together, and Connie was happy to show us many, many examples of her work. She is rightfully very proud of what she does, and my daughter and I were so impressed with how natural her work was! She is a very artistic person, not just a technician. She obviously cares so much about the people she is going to work on, and she truly loves what she does. After my first experience, I was a bit gun shy, but she quickly put my fears to rest, especially when I looked in the mirror while she was working. Her work is truly amazing. I just look like I have really nicely done eyeliner. It was done exactly the way I wanted it! My daughter's eyebrows are a real work of art. You would swear that they are her natural eyebrows, even though she had very little left of her natural brows. Words can't even convey how happy she was to have eyebrows again! Connie is the best at what she does. Period! You can pay more at some places, and you can pay less at other places, but for what she does, I think she is very reasonably priced.
