I booked a Short Nail Signature European Gel Manicure and Signature European Pedicure Regular polish. I understand these services to be dry services/russian mani/pedi. The tech was super aggressive with the cuticle work and she cut my cuticle in more than one place. I expressed my discomfort, no correction. When she applied the hard gel, I explained that I do not like my nails to be "thick" but I was told that they MUST use the hard gel because they could not apply gel polish to natural nails. I asked why, because this is how every other nail salon does it. She could not explain why and told me that I couldn't opt out of having the hard gel applied. When the manicure was done, I reiterated that I do not like my nails thick, and this is exactly what they were after having a layer of hard gel, along with two coats of gel polish and a top coat applied. Aesthetically, the color looks good and the shape is good, but they are very thick, which I stated more than one time. I will not return to this business. read more

O.P. Beauty Lab offers Russian manicures with hard gel, which allows me to build a sturdy nail set off my real nails that last a solid 4-6 weeks. The staff is super talented and detailed oriented. I've had a few sets done there and have always liked my nails. Ive never had a set get chipped or a design scratch off. It does take a long time- almost 2 hours. A lot of this is cuticle work-not of it is painful. I had a first time client discount I secured from Instagram, but my second set was more expensive (I also picked a more intricate design). I wish it was a little cheaper. The only other thing I don't like about this location is you can't walk in and say you want to add on services (eyebrows, toenails). I book my appointment weeks in advance and they don't have a lot of flexibility. They will also charge to remove nails that aren't their own work- which I've seen people get pretty upset about. Overall, I probably won't be able to afford coming here forever, but I love the femininity of how these nails look on me. Parking is also very accessible. read more

I can't really do 2 different ratings. I booked a "4 hands mani and pedi" - manicure 4/5: was great. She took her time and made my nails cleaned and polished. I would come back just for a mani. - pedicure 1/5- Polish should never be more than 3 layers. Mine was at least 5. I had a regular Polish done. Finished at 12, dinner plans at 6:30... I thought my nails would be "safe", but the next day I noticed the polishes moved around in my foot... they have a 7 day "warranty" to get nails redone... so I went back. Requested a different tech, and she was not any better. I had to remind her she still needed to paint another coat on one of the toes. I came, I tried and I won't be back for a pedicure. read more

I've been getting amazing Russian/European manicures for a few months now, but my normal manicurist is really far. So in an effort to find a closer salon to home, I decided to give O.P. Beauty Lab a try. The good: Everyone was so kind and friendly. Immediately started working on my manicure upon arrival. The manicurist was so sweet and did a decent job on my cuticle work. The not so good: I asked for short square nails and wanted extensions since my natural nails were really short and broken. (Due to the distance I'm not able to keep up with my manicures. Completely my fault and not the fault of my original manicurist.) I showed her the photo below and said "this is exactly what I want." Essentially, I wanted the same color, shape, length, etc. The builder/poly gel applied was not spread out evenly leaving me with "turtle shell" nails. The edges of the nails were paper thin and the side walls were not even fully covered but the center of the nails had a big balloon size product. She also only fixed one nail and did no extensions. I absolutely hated it and asked her if she could please fix the apex and shape, but she said it was just the builder/poly gel and there was nothing she could do. I mentioned I get Russian/European manicures all the time and I have never walked out with nails like these, but she insisted I was wrong. I then decided to smile, politely say thank you, go pay and take the loss. I paid $85 for a manure I came home to redo because I could not stand to look at it. I removed most of the gel and did my own builder gel extensions with forms. I am not a pro by any means, but my work is still much better than what I paid for and that's what really annoys me. I do my own nails because I hate the feeling of paying for something and being disappointed, but I do not enjoy doing them. This is not meant to bash the salon, or the people, but a simple honest review about a bad manicure. Please do better. There is no reason why nails should ever look like this. Olesya was sweet, honest, willing to listen to my goals and most importantly, extremely skilled at permanent makeup. I have gotten my eyebrows microbladed before and it did not go well. I told Olesya I wanted to fix them and she was honest with what could be done and actually exceeded my expectations. She is very knowledgeable and informed me the look I was trying to achieve was actually done by micropowder and not microblading (something other technicians would ignore to get the money and just get the job done). She was also very gracious when I made her tweak the drawing before starting the process.
