She also rolled her eyes when my husband asked about wine preferences. This city and country was built off of people who look like us, yet we are still given disrespect for no reason other than the color of our skin. Cool wine shop in west midtown right in between burger shack and lulu lemon. Wine prices vary from affordable to up there (not affordable for me - cheers to you if you're getting that top shelf) there's a great variety of selection, it has your whites to reds and all price ranges. There was a wine tasting happening while my partner and I were browsing and breads were being brought out. The staff was knowledgeable and pretty helpful. If you're a wine connoisseur or just enjoy a good wine, and in the area it's worth dropping by to pick up something. read more

i came in Perrine's Wine again For my second time in a while only to be overlooked while shopping around. it was two people working in the store at the time a lady and a man Saturday 9/1/24 at about 4ish. First off no one acknowledged us when we came in , I shopped around looking for a wine we had purchased previously at your store. If I could give zero stars I would after the experience I had today. I was at this establishment today Saturday, August 31,2024 around 4:30 PM and my sister and I wanted to grab a few bottles of wine. Upon walking in we weren't even greeted or asked if we needed assistance not once. A white man was assisted and rung up and still no acknowledgement. Your racist behavior lost two customers all because you were being rude and disrespectful. I will be sure to spread the word for everyone I know to never step foot in your store! Although I am an Instagram follower of Perrine's, this was my first time visiting the store. I had called to get some advice on particular wines, and Jade pulled the ones I selected and had them waiting for me. Additionally someone at the shop helped me find two everyday drinking Cabs when I came to pick up the others. He was very helpful and cognizant of my likes and needs. Situated directly below a condo I purchased in July '11 within Atlanta's Westside Provision District (est. 2008/2009), it wasn't a surprise why I've had such a wonderful experience being a patron here. Especially, after going to Google to find more about the shop before publishing this review: Perrine's Wine Shop was just featured in the May-2011 issue of 'Garden & Gun' and previously honored by 'Atlanta Magazine' in 2010 (http://www.atlantamagazine.com/diningarticles/Story.aspx?id=1304004). However, what is surprising after learning about the shop and owner's previous accolades is that quite often Perrine's prices are lower than the local competing generic wine & spirits franchises. Perrine can often be found behind the register, or at her laptop drafting the latest monthly wine club newsletter or wine tasting event. She's not alone, however, and the staff she's assembled are just as humble and knowledgeable as she is. Obviously, so humble that I had to use the internet to find anything out about her (historically speaking) previous to opening the wine shop's doors. Here are three things I learned vis-a-vis the internet: 1. She was the youngest to earn a challenge medal for the best young sommelier in Bordeaux in 2004. 2. She arrived in America in 2006 where she could only spoke French, which didn't stop her from earning her sommelier certification from the Master of Sommelier Institute. 3. She then worked as the sommelier at JOËL Brasserie for four years before opening Perrine's Wine Shop in 2010. Now, here are three things I know from my own experience: 1. She bends over backwards for her customers. 2. She is absolutely gorgeous. 3. And yes, she's actually French. Atlanta is lucky to have her, while my bank account is slightly less so thanks to the ridiculously convenient location not 10 yards from my front door. Cheers! Discovered this gem on my drive home one night. Game changer. I originally stopped in because it's right down the street from my apartment, and now I'm a regular. No better place to stock up on your wine. Tons of different options that'll fit whatever budget you have. Their wines are separated into old and new world which makes it easy to browse and select. Bethany Taylor is usually the one working when I go, but everyone else has been equally as helpful. They're very knowledgeable and really care about learning what your preferences are, answering any questions, and providing great recommendations. Love going to learn more about different kinds of wine and leaving with delicious and various types of red. This place makes wine shopping fun. The experience blows buying wine from your grocery store of choice out of the water. Best part is that you're supporting a local business with great people as well. Super awesome people and service! I 100% will be back. I came in looking for a bottle of wine to gift. Since I'm fairly new to the wine drinking, I knew I would need some help. I walked in and immediately was greeting by Claudio before the door even closed behind me. I told him what I was looking for and he asked me for my price range. He picked a perfect bottle to gift and a perfect bottle for me to try out! Claudio also gave me a brief history of the wines he helped my pick out and was clearly super knowledgeable on all of them. Since I told him it was a gift, he also suggested some chocolates to pair with the wine and pointed me in the right direction. I was planning on putting together a basket and asked him if they had anything that might do the trick. Turns out they sell their wine crates for $10 each! He asked what else I was planning to put in it and brought out a couple crates for me to pick from and even got it all set up for me. I was super surprised by how attentive he was. I didn't expect for him to practically put together the basket for me but I'm so glad he did because it would not have looked that nice if I did. He made me aware of their wine club and I'm really considering the different membership tiers but didn't push me on it. They also do private wine tastings. I am so excited to gift this basket and I can't wait to head back in and pick up another bottle for myself! Parking can be a little bit limited if you're trying to park in the lot right in front of the shop but there's also parking in the back and in the garage as well. read more

Great selection of new world and old world wine. I come here every time I am in ATL so that I can buy a few bottles at reasonable prices. Being from CA I am always pleased to find boutique northern CA wines that I have not heard of and that are anything but supermarket wines. I also enjoy finding imports of names I have not seen before, usually from east coast or southern importers, rather than the same stuff I see here. The prices are reasonable and the gentleman who helped me last time made some great suggestions, again. Also, it's in a nice neighborhood to eat and shop. Nice establishment. This is a long overdue review of a great little place! After a great lunch at Miller Union one Sat back in January, we wandered around the West Side a little bit and specifically stopped to peruse Perrine's. A treat! Very knowledgeable staff - after fairly lengthy discussion with one of the managers, my friend bought a red - I can't recall exactly what it was- and raved about it from dinner later. I most enjoyed browsing their gift basket selection; they really can do most anything for a special present, small or large. Pick a basket, select your items, from crackers to wine to bar accessories to...they will wrap it all up beautifully and have it delivered. Orders can be done in just a few days so it would be perfect for that weekend getaway that pops up and you don't have a hostess present! The wine club is also intriguing - at $30/mo for two bottles, that's a pretty good deal on wines I am sure will be happily enjoyed. In general, the price range is very good especially given the variety available, and from $12 or so on up you can find tasty wines. Good place to shop, or just to browse, if you are into wine and such. read more

Best wine shop in Atlanta! They have a great selection from boutique vineyards that you won't find anywhere else. They do frequent tastings, which is a great way to meet new wines and new people. I discovered Failla at one of the tastings, and it's still one of my favs. The service is also impeccable. We were looking for wine for our wedding, and Perrine did several tastings with us, even ordering some lower cost options for us to try so we could stay on budget. A boutique for the fermented grape lush. We were on a mission to find a sofa, so a trip to Room and Board was in order. Once we parked, I noticed Perrine's on the little side street between the parking garage and Chattahoochee. One quick look at the lady, and a simple nod were all it took to be coaxed into visiting this place once we were through at R&B. Upon opening the door, your eyes will be greeted with wine overload. The place is small, but is filled to the brim with bottles of all varieties, from all over the world. Although my brain was still focused on couches, I had to quickly transition to wine for the good of our evening. After a quick explanation of the layout, and organization arrangement, we were picking up bottles, reading labels from all over this planet of ours. I chose two Sicilian bottles that were moderately priced based on the dude's suggestions. So far I've only tried the white varietal, and it's pretty damned good. Regarding Perrine's itself, just be prepared to research the wines a little bit, and spend time asking questions if you aren't already a wine expert. We'll be back. read more

I lived near the Napa Valley for 5 years, so I always bought my wine directly from the wineries. I miss it, but I am THRILLED that I found Perrine's - they have the best collection of wines I've seen anywhere in a wine shop! In fact, they carry wines from 4/5 of my favorite CA wineries at the same price (or even cheaper!) as the wineries themselves. Both times I've visited Perrine's, the gentleman that helped me listened to my taste and price preferences, and suggested wines that were absolutely amazing! I'll definitely be back to buy more of the whites that he suggested and to stock up on wines from those favorite wineries that I had mentioned. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss Napa, but having Perrine's just a short drive away definitely dulls the pain a bit! read more

Whenever I tell people I am in a wine club, I immediately bust out my monocle and top hat, and also my vanity cane. But what I really mean is that I'm subscribed to a list that gives two nice bottles of wine a month that I pick up at Perrine's. This is a really nice wine shop right next to Yeah Burger on Howell Mill. The workers here are very friendly, very nice and helpful. Also, they're not overbearing as salesmen/women... they are there to help, but if you wanna browse, that's fine. Prices for these wines range from $10 to ... well, let's just say, very high. But they only hawk the good stuff, so you're sure to be satisfied. I'd recommend this place as a nice shop to pick out a nice gift bottle of wine for someone, or for a nice date. read more

Don't waste your time in a place that sells landmark Chardonnay or Charles Krug or any other Generic domestic/import wines. This store is good enough for housewives who wants to spend their husband's money. As a French store they should know better... The team here is outstanding. They are willing to cope with my fantastically novice perception of wine every time ("do you guys have a pinot noir from italy??"). You cannot buy a bad bottle here. Additionally, they have tons of cute touches everywhere, like tastings, Perrine-branded paper coasters that I do NOT steal by the handful... and tons of amazing candles (they smell so good). I unfortunately did not have a good experience here. I wanted to get a few bottles of wine for a dinner party I was having. I walked in and began viewing the selections as I had never been here before. This turned in to me looking around the whole store without ever being greeted. The associate working there did make eye contact but there was no "hi", "let me know if I can help" or anything. As I was about to leave a group of three came in (they did not look like me) and were greeted right away. I wish my experience were better. Cute shop, new wines. I am by no means an oenophile. But I do love my wine. And I know what I like. And that makes well-edited wine boutiques a bit of a challenge for me. Sometimes I want to walk in and find a favorite right away. And I recognized a few items at Perrine's. But the number of unfamiliar wines totally outnumbered the ones I knew. This could be a good thing. Immediately I was greeted by a staff member who offered to help me. No additional pressure as I opted to browse for a bit on my my own. Once I'd thought about what I wanted, I approached the staff member and he helped answer my questions. "Is this Shiraz going to drink like this other one I love?" "Can you recommend a nice Viognier at a reasonable price point?" Done and done. I haven't had the chance to drink the wines I purchased yet, but I am hoping they deliver on their promise. Random bonus - a cute dog was there to greet me and play as they rang up my wine. Reading other reviews, I realize that Perrine's has lot more to offer than its charming retail shop. As a huge fan of wine, Perrine's is one of the few shops dedicated to wine, so I love it. The staff is very insightful on the wine selection and overly helpful in giving you options and how the bottles differ. Sometimes I buy my usual German Riesling or one of the old world white blends. More times, I come in with a taste for something new whether that be to pair with a meal or special occasion. They have old world wines, new world wines and a wide price range that can accommodate almost anyone. Parking is available in the front and in the parking garage. read more

After searching online for a wine shop in Atlanta, I found Perrine's Wine Shop. What a great find! I live in Florida and was looking for a gift basket that I could send to my daughter to celebrate her thesis defense last week. It was so easy to shop for just the right items from their large selection of champagnes, cheeses, olives and various other yummy treats. I gave very specific instructions for the timing of the delivery and they were spot on! The delivery driver was very courteous and delivered the beautiful gift basket with heartfelt wishes.
