The women who run this establishment are mother and daughter. They are a great team. They do only groom smaller dogs, which is their right to choose. They also have an AMAZING deal to clip your pups nails for $5! How can you beat that! My border collie mix HATES people touching his paws. He will not snip at anyone but he pulls his paw away with all his might. But they handled him delicately and quickly. I was extremely impressed with the service. I was so grateful to meet them and sit and have a great conversation with them. They work hard, and they work together. Their prices are reasonable and from the grooms that I have seen, they do a good job. I had an appointment 21/2 weeks ago showed up for my scheduled time the place was dark and no one there no phone call nothing we finally found another groomer. Mae the owner call me like I said 21/2 weeks later and said she was sick my question is why didn't her daughter call and cancel with me I left 15 phone calls to her but no answer until she called me back I would not recommend this business to anyone irresponsible lady read more

I've been going to Mae for a long time. My neighbor recommended her after I encountered a bad groomer who made my dog bleed. As time passed so did my dogs, but recently I got a new mini Schnauzer during COVID and hooked up with Mae again. My pup looked so beautiful after Mae finished. She looked like a little white cloud, her feathered legs were majestic. Know that Mae is very busy and also supports personal family needs, so she might not get you in as quickly as possible, but she will try and work around your schedule as best as she can. The shop is always very neat and clean She only takes CASH, which isn't a sin, people. There's a CHASE ATM right around the corner. read more

So she left the dog bald on its body and around its arms there was long peices of hair that they didn't even bother to cut. This place needs to be shut down. Fuck this place. The owner, Mae, is always friendly and willing to work her schedule around you. There have been times that I could not wait until 9 a.m. for her to open and she has come in as early as 7 a.m. to fit my schedule. Mae always has my dog ready when I am able to pick him up and she gives me a courtesy call to let me know when he is ready. She always does a good job grooming my dog and her prices are very reasonable. She takes cash only so keep that in mind. read more

I have been bringing my poodles to Perros y Gatos for years, and I love how kind and caring May is with my family and pets. She takes pride in her work, and I know that when I drop my dogs off, they are in capable, compassionate hands. We now live a half hour away, and I still bring my dogs to May because other groomers don't seem to have a good handle on what different breeds require. She has always treated me with courteous respect. She is able to keep her costs low because she only accepts cash or checks. I took my dog to get groomed, she a small Bischon mix. I usually take her to Pet'sSmart cause I am able to see her through a glass window. My dog was pretty matted and was in a desperate need for a cut. She was there from 9:00 am to 11:00am. I hesitated to leave her. ( I never should of left her), anyway.... She had cuts and blood inside her ear, cuts on the tips of her ears, now they are big bloody welts. Her chest was burned, her private part was cut.  Dogs can't talk and unfortunately a lot of people do not pay attention to the dog's reactions. If you tie a dog up and try to shave them to skin while you are cutting and burning a dog will flinch or try to move his body. Somebody obviously wasn't apying attention to my dog. When I picked her up she was shaking and skittish. She is still very afarid to leave my side. "MY HEART WAS BROKEN" I can't believe they would do this to my dog. They refuse to give me a refund for my vet bill of $300. They said it was my fault for waiting sooo long to groom her. I have a toy poodle but prefer the Teddy Bear cut with a few modifications. Took my dog here and when I picked him up his nose was bleeding. The owner mentioned about it. When I asked her what happened she got defensive and told me she didn't have to tell me about. This is the only time he has ever had a nose bleed. I have no doubt she did something to him especially with her defensive attitude! read more

I just picked my dog up from Perros Y Gatos and I couldn't wait to get home to write this review! The staff here are extremely friendly and warm both in person and on the phone. I felt comfortable with them right away! They were so incredibly flexible with my schedule and even came in before they open so I could drop my dog off. I can't express how much that means to me! The groomer, May, was wonderful with my girl and her coat looks beautiful! I was so nervous taking her in to be groomed because past groomers have let us down but I this whole process was comfortable and I felt sure that my dog was in good hands. I felt great leaving her there this morning and I am ecstatic to see how great she looks now. I will DEFINITELY be coming back and recommending this place to others! read more

We rescued a dog a few weeks ago and brought him in for grooming and dog is not the same. Something must of happend.

I have taken my dog here a few times when unable to get in for an appointment at her regular grommer. The owner, Mae is unprofessional and not flexible with her schedule, expressing her personal business is priority. She does not require any proof of vaccinations which seems risky not knowing if there are any diseases being transferred. Mae also doesn't accept credit cards which seems sketchy. And she has charged me different prices each time! A couple of weeks ago I took my American Eskimo in for a groom and was charged more than I had ever been charged before and the cut was very choppy! I called Mae to tell her about my dog's choppy cut and she reacted rude, unprofessional and as if I was bothering her! I have an extremely busy schedule & know that time is money, so the last thing I wanted to do was make a second trip to the groomer! If it were done right the first time, I would not have had to inconvenience myself! She also reacted as if I were trying to get over on her. As a result, I did not take my dog back to get her choppy cut fixed. I feel as if I wasted my money and time! So I am writing this review in hopes that I can save others from doing the same. read more

I've brought my rescue dog Chaco to Perros Y Gatos twice now. First for a nail trimming, and then a shampoo and a shave. Prices for both these services is very budget friendly and reasonable. Just remember to bring cash or a check! During both visits May and her coworker (Apologies, I can't remember her name?) were both incredibly kind, courteous, and professional. I was a bit nervous to leave Chaco, he's a sweet pup who has had a rough life until I adopted him. They put my my mind at ease by talking me through the whole cleaning process, showing me around their shop, and taking the time to get to know more about my dog before I left him there. When I came back just two hours later I was greeted by a neatly shaved, clean, and very happy dog! Chaco loves his new hair cut, he's shedding much less, is cooler on these hot summer days, and has noticeably decreased the amount of time he spends scratching. I tried paying with a credit card and realized they didn't accept credit cards but the lady told me I could take my dog and go back with the payment since the bank was right accross the street. The lady that answered the phone seemed nice at first asking about my dogs and how they were around water and blow dryers ... I said I was unsure about it because one of the dogs is my parents' ... I know my dogs hate water because its a Shiba thing, however how should I know about the dryer because I take them to the groomers and then pick them up ... I don't just sit there and watch. She then proceeds to interrupt me and say (snidely) "How long have you had them? How would you not know if they don't like water?" In a shocked tone I then said "what?" She went in again saying "Well if they're you're dogs how would you not know if they liked water or not?" I told her then to immediately forget it and that I would make sure to let people know of her poor excuse for customer service. I have been in the Customer Service field my entire working life and I have NEVER had anyone from a business speak to me in such a manner!!! DO NOT GO! For if they talk to people wrong on the phone then how do you know they're not treating your friend wrong either??? read more
