My fiance and I, along with another couple stayed on James and Laura's farm this past weekend to celebrate the New Year and really enjoyed ourselves. James and Laura were excellent hosts and were both incredibly friendly. The farm is a great jumping off location if you want to tap the ski resorts of the Mad River Valley. It is only a 25 minute drive over Roxbury Mtn road and you're in the heart of Warren, Vt., home to Sugarbush and a slice of true Vermont Americana. The farm itself is great and the animals make the experience much more memorable. In the morning we were able to enjoy fresh eggs, bacon, and milk all harvested mere yards away from our rooms. The rooms are great too, spacious, clean, new, and tastefully decorated. What a super retreat!!! James was a consummate host and left no detail overlooked. The room was tastefully appointed; the bed was heavenly comfortable; the view of the farm amazing; and the daily interactions with Prudence the farm's welcome Pig was a joy!
