We visited this cart several times when we were in Portland a few years back. Food was very flavorful and portion size was very generous; Two of the things I appreciate the most when eating out. Indeed, they push their lamb sample very hard, and for good reason: It's the best lamb meat I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned, consistent texture, rich flavor, and just the right amount of fat. One of theee best I've ever had!! My bf and I got the beef roll. It's basically a gyro but wrapped all the way and I love how they put the wrap on the grill which makes it a lil crispy and easier to hold. The beef was really good, tender, and flavorful. I love the sauce that they had as well. My friend either got the lamb or the combo and my bf had a bite of it and loved it more than our own beef roll. Literally the best lamb I've ever had. I come here every day for lunch and it's always perfect. The employees are awesome, and the wait is a lot better than other food carts near by. I was once the only person waiting, so they played my favorite band over the speakers for me me. These guys are great and so is their food. My faves are the lamb burrito and the gyro dish. One of the best cheap food stands in all of Portland. This place is renowned by locals for shoving a sample in your face everytime you walk by, but it's for good reason as the steak is incredible It's cooked fresh off the skewer and you can watch your food being made on an authentic grill. Full disclosure: I stumbled upon this food truck at the tail end of an IF (intermittent fast) and would have eaten anything -- with the possible exception of Olive Garden or sushi at a gas station. But providence was on my side when I ordered the #4 Lamb at Persian Sofreh on 10th Ave (just south of Washington). The proprietor informed me the word "Sofreh" means fare or spread but he was being modest. The wrap burst with flavor: spicy and juicy and and unquestionably the highlight of my day. Was it because I was starving and semi-delirious? Maybe. Will I go back to Persian Sofreh? Definitely. An absolutely delicious, incredibly tender piece of lamb. All three of us ordered the large lamb gyro.... Admittedly, it took longer than I expected, but man.... Oh man was it delicious. Worst Gyro I have had. Working in the area I have seen ppl walking around with these giant burritos come to find out it is a gyro burrito! Perfect no mess and eat on the go. WRONG! The lamb roll did not look like the photos in other reviews. They are not consistent. My Lamb roll barley had any tomatoes and onions just soggy lettuce and chunks of lamb. The most delicious lamb roll ever. This was the first place we ate during our visit to Portland and it really started our trip off right. Kale had given us a sample of the lamb with garlic sauce and we LOVED it. So we got the full sandwich and it was amazing. My group also got a few chicken style sandwiches... equally delicious. I love Persian food and this is one of the few places in town you can find it. That said, thye don't have the typical Persian dishes I like such as Gormeh Sabzi or Fesenjhan. But the Kebab are still quite tasty and I make this a regular stop when I am in that part of town. read more

Just got to Portland from Seattle, and this was the first thing we ate. SO FUCKING DANK. The guy was super chill about me switching my choice from the lamb roll to the lamb gyro since my fiancé got the roll - that way we could try two things. My gyro was perfect, it was slightly garlicky, the pita was soft and amazing, it was so stuffed with lamb I had to keep using my fork to push it all back in. And it was five bucks. Five fucking bucks?! At home I would've easily paid $12 for half the gyro, in terms of quality and quantity. The lamb roll was equally delicious, the wrap held everything in nicely and somehow these fucking wizards pressed it without wilting the lettuce and cucumber. Again, a steal for only $7. If we make it back to this area before we leave pdx, you can bet your lamb loving ass we'll be back. 10/10, plus the guy was super nice!
