I have visited this salon twice because my boyfriend has been seeing a lady by the name of Nicolette for quite awhile. I have always had a hard time finding someone to cut my short hair perfectly, she always does a wonderful job and is extremely personable. Last time, I needed a cut and color and she did a great job. I had service done in November because I was so excited for the holidays to come up. I wanted to have my hair done prior. I called in advance to get an appointment and Roberta agreed to do a cut color and style. I have curly Hair. I was content with the color. The cut not so much, cut more than I anticipated. She offered me tea but never received. She told me "I can't style your hair I have an appointment in two hours with another client" so why would you agree to do my hair in the first place? I told her politely, I'm not leaving here without getting my hair Done (big Mistake I should Have left after her telling me this.) I even stated I wouldn't mind having another person do my hair and she took me to another girl who just looked at my hair and was like "idk how to do curls with a flat iron" Literally you style curly hair the same way you do straight. When Roberta started to style my hair She legit grabbed chunks of my hair to blow dry and try running the flat iron over it. You are obviously supposed to grab a small amount and get to the root of the hair clearly anyone and everyone knows that ...Not only did she charge me extra for the blow dry but I left the salon with my hair poofy and not even blow dryed straight. As a woman I feel like the service at this salon just made me feel bad because I have curly hair and they had the audacity to tell me that they've worked with curly hair before, and I ended up walking out with my hair, looking a mess. I was overcharged for crappy service. I called the salon a few days ago to ask for the ladies name who did my hair so I can make this review. Whoever answered, the phone said everybody at the salon has experience with curly hair could have fooled me never will I ever return here. I will be sure to find a salon that takes their time, doesn't make me feel like a burden because I have curly hair. do not come here if you are a curlyheaded Latina like myself you will leave unhappy read more

My mom has been coming to this salon for probably 10 years now, and I went in yesterday with the hopes that the stylists there would be able to save my seriously damaged hair that has spent the last 8 years of its life being box colored black from my natural blonde color. I told my stylist, Kialee, that I wanted to go back to blonde with a sombre color style, and I knew that it was not going to be an easy task, or one that could be done in one sitting because of all the abuse my hair has taken. Kialee explained to me all of the steps her and I were going to take to get my hair exactly where I wanted it, and how many times I would need to come back to achieve my goal. I asked for a lot out of her, and I couldn't be happier with the end result of my first visit. With how damaged my hair was I didn't think I was going to walk out with any light colors in my hair, or any hair at all for that matter... but what I got was an incredibly beautiful new head of hair that is full of color and life that I can and want to style and show off. Don't let the other lower star reviews deter you from giving this salon a chance; I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience. Everyone there is super friendly and it's like being in a room full of your closest friends with how awesome the atmosphere is. I'm already scheduled for my next appointment with Kialee next month, and I cannot wait to go back and see what she does with my hair then! read more

Super disappointed with my appointment. I came in with healthy long black hair. I wanted a few inches cut off and a balayage. My stylist (Caimee) completely DESTROYED my hair. Over processed it and fried it out so badly that I was forced to go somewhere else and have my hair cut off below my shoulders (It was to the end of my back when I came in). The color didn't look good at all and the cut was very uneven. I paid over $300 for the service and I regret the entire experience. I was also told prior to my appointment that a product would be sprayed on my hair to prevent damage and that a mask treatment would be done. None of which she did. I'm SO sad. It took me over 4 years to grow my hair out and now I have to do it all over again due to someone's poor abilities and experience. Would not recommend. read more

Except for one young mom who worked out of her home, I have not had very good luck with hair stylists in Arizona. Until I found Personalities Salon, which I love! I've gone to two different stylists at Personalities, and they both went the extra mile to color gray hair, something a number of stylists don't seem to understand how to do. In addition, they came up with color formulas to meet my desire for red-gold (not dark red with blue tones, as I've suffered through in the past). And they both had different ideas for hair styles rather than just the usual blow-dry-straight-tuck-under look. The first stylist moved away, but I would highly recommend Lori. The Personalities address comes up at a wonky location on my GPS, so they are located facing Chandler Heights Rd, in the strip mall that has a Bosa's Donuts and Basha's grocery store. (And, once you are styled and beautiful, drop next door to Sea Star for some fabulous chicken teriyaki.) read more

I've been coming to Personalities for over 8 years and love the environment and staff and Erica! I always leave happy with my hair and that makes for a really good visit! Erica knows color too. I totally love my color and cut! She's always up to something different if I want. I also love the scheduling system they use too. Since I book ahead 5 to 6 weeks out. They send me emails and texts for upcoming appointments. I recommended my mother in law come to Personalities for her weekly shampoo and set too. She's been coming here for 5 years now! read more

I've had my hair done here several times by Samantha, and she's done an amazing job every time. I am a hairstylist myself, so I am very particular about who I let do my hair. Sam is incredible at what she does and always provides excellent customer service. And once I finally locked down a time with her she insisted that I pre pay for my appointment via pay pal or Venmo, now I don't know about the rest of the world but I don't pre pay for things like getting my hair done. I had an appointment today for 10 o'clock, the appointment was made yesterday. was originally for 9:45 but received text changing time to 9:30, then a text changing to 10 and then a phone call changing it to 10. I arrived at 9:55 and at 10:30 I was still waiting. I found that total lack of concern for my time to be unacceptable. I advised the lazy receptionist that I was leaving. she seemed totally unconcerned. after going to this salon for over 7 years I felt like I was being taken for granted as a long time customer. I went to Personalities for the first time last week. Erica cut my hair and told me if I needed it fixed in any way after I washed and styled it myself, to come back and she would fix it. I called the salon a few days later to see if I could get back in for her to trim a couple of spots. I was offered one time slot which didn't work for me. I told the receptionist that I could come in any time on several other days, but unfortunately, Erica would not make time for me as she had originally promised. Customer satisfaction is clearly not a priority for Erica. Wouldn't you expect her to come in to work 10 minutes early or stay 10 minutes later one day to accommodate a new customer? I sure would.... read more
