Elle is super nice and made me feel comfortable, made me feel like I'm hanging out with a good friend. I love the haircut she gave me. Consumers beware..... My daughter went to Elisabeth, owner of the salon, initially for a cut. At the time of her first service, she spoke to Elizabeth about coming back for a blonde balayage. My daughter let Elisabeth know that she had very old color in a small portion of the underside of her hair at this first service, and this would be noted by any experienced professional during her cut- my point being that Elisabeth not only had my daughter in her chair but eyes on her hair at the time of consultation and planning for her coloring service. Elisabeth quoted my daughter $400-500 for her balayage, my daughter agreed and booked the appointment. Elsabeth completed the service, and with no warning of change, charged my daughter $620, and asked my (16-year-old) daughter if she would like to leave a tip- to which my daughter told her im sorry I cant because I didnt know it would cost this much. This is common occurance for this salon owner after reading her other reviews. Issue #2 and the obvious... my poor daughter "balayage." These photos are after my daughter texted Elisabeth the same day that she was unhappy with her hair and my daughter went back the next day to have her hair fix. These photos are the result of Elisabeths "fixed" work. I contacted Elisabeth directly to address my concerns, sent her the photos and asked for a refund as my daughter is going to have to go to a real professional and have this mess corrected. Elisabeth said "sorry, we do not offer refunds on services older that 15 days," My daughter hid how bad this was from my for weeks by wearing her hair up and in braids as she was so embarrassed by what happened to her and ashamed to tell me how to was overcharged. And not to mention, Elisabeth provided this service to a minor, without parental consent. A compliant has been filed to the AZ Board of Cosmetology and I hope this review saves someone else their time, and their money. read more

I found Madhairlab via Google search and excitedly booked an appointment when I saw they offered curly cuts. I was NOT disappointed. From the ease of booking the appointment (online), to the final touches, Elle and Emily surpassed my expectations. They took the time to understand what I was looking for and more than delivered on the curly cut. They dry cut the curls to my desired style/ length, then washed and gave me a deep condition, dried and straightened my hair, and then took the time to CUT again to ensure everything was even. was looking around closer to my area in Queen Creek cause I was tired of driving up to Scottsdale all the time and my old extension salon so I elle when I called her I asked her if she did the keratin bond individual extensions and she said yes the first visit was a disaster it took her over five hours and she had her assistant helping to take out my old Extentions to put the new ones and on top of it when she called me she was rude on the phone using profanity to me I've never been so insulted my whole life. she didn't know how to do individual hair extensions she was inclined it only did the weft she lied in a big way. she falsified her experience In these type of extensions and try to convince me to do weft I didn't want the Weft. extensions. The placement of my extensions were horrible they were not placed in line or an order. you could tell she was not experienced in this type of method and very unprofessional she sent me home after almost 6 hours of working on my extensions ----I've had extensions before and it's never taken almost 6 hrs should've never taken that long and even with two people that she had. And of course after three days were falling off piece by piece one by one so easy I called her and she was gracious enough for me to come in and fix it now I just called her again and she gave me the boot she says I'm sorry I can't do this I don't know how to do these I will send you somewhere else so I requested for my refund because she stated she couldn't give me a refund because has been after 30 days which is only been a little over 30 days I WOULD NOT recommend this place to any one and her prices are ridiculous high!!!!! falsifies her experience just to get clientele I am mortified totally mortified im out of almost $800 and I have a hair extension that's falling out. Beware of this place. And she has a very potty mouth and nasty so unprofessional she's in the wrong business. terrible communication skills !!! Live and learn. read more
