Great place to do your taxes! Amy Parker is very knowledgeable, professional and organized. I have been using her for several years and couldn't be happier. My taxes are pretty cut and dry, not too complicated, but I still like someone to organize it all for me. It is very easy to get an appt with her come tax season. I have been to HR Block before, but I felt they could care less if I got the best refund. Mrs. Parker asks you a lot of questions to make sure she covers every possible tax break. She also gives you pointers on how to save in the future. An example I learned from her: save your receipts from improvements you made on you house to show when you sell your house. I had been a customer of George Propst for more than a decade... If I recall corectly George was Amys grandpa...He was the one who passed this tax service to Amy...What a great guy he was... My parents and I loved to have our taxes done by him, it was truly like just visiting a friend! And having a cup of coffie and laughter...After George passed the service to Amy my mother, daughter and I continued on with Amys tax service..., My mother and father continued until they passed away...I found Amys service helpful, and the price went up right away, I felt it, and didnt complian... I understand, new owner and shes not grandpa... This I need to say, its been buging me a while... When I was with her grandpa George, my filings were far more complex, I ran a small business..., Yet I paid Georges survice less for more work!...And yes that was some time ago...I understand prices go up... After contacting Amy this year to do some very simple back year filings, she informed me she had raised her prices again...So sad to say now out of my humble budget...I made only one other call... I called Lopez tax sevice...I called without much faith that I would save anything, but I had no choice, but to try... I didnt know what I was getting into when I went into Lopez Tax survice... They did 3 years of my back taxes... They were personal and profesionally and made me feel very comfortable... Before my eyes, they did 3 years of my back taxes in 45 minites... I was astonished at how profesional and efficiant he did them... All while we had some light pleasureable talk!, I felt once again what I had with George, Just a real down to earth freind helping me with my taxes!...My refund to my shock was nearly 6k, I expected to pay...I was charged only $245 dollars for three years...Amy wanted 3 times that... So sad to say, at this stage of my life thats a great deal of money...And for dong nothing more, no, no absolutely nothing more...I felt like I was back in time with the old George Propst tax service...Im not here to tear anyone down, Im really not, I am here to say If your like me and things are tuff and you feel down...No matter how faithful I or my familly was to personalized Tax suvice...I got the same exact results Amy's Tax survice gives at Lopez tax survice, for 1/3 the price, and it felt great!..
